Personally, I found the first half rather boring considering it's a story we have seen several times in different iterations and this version with Hoechlin and Tulloch wasn't anything special.

I found it quite enjoyable to watch. Better than smug Henry Cavill and bland Amy Adams from the movies. And yeah, there's a connected multi-verse out there, but not everything has to be like the MCU.

Teams Russia, SE Asia, and S America:  Arise from their indoor accommodations and hop into trucks or train.

Team NA:  Wakes up freezing on a mountaintop and proceed to schlep down said mountain on foot.

I mean, I know they said that these routes have been thoroughly vetted for fairness as far as difficulty goes, but it does seem like Team NA is constantly getting the shaft.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this. It seemed totally biased. The other teams had use of all kinds of transportation while Team NA were hauling a fucking canoe through the woods or climbing mountains.

Also why did they white water raft alone while the other teams had experts in the rafts with them? And Team SA were rope tied together with a guide on their snow mountain trek, but NA were alone and not tied together.

I was really hoping they'd win.

  3. I agree with the comments about the "web sleuths". What a bunch of pathetic people. They think they can solve a case without actually leaving their houses and just by obsessively watching a video over and over.

I laughed when the guy said he had to check social media to verify what the news was saying about finding her body.

That's just Keith. He's an emotional guy, very passionate about pottery, and it moves him when a contestant shines.  If your anything like me, pretty soon you will crying right along with him!

I must be cold-hearted because I find it annoying. Every time he starts off, I'm just "For fuck's sake man, it's just pottery."

Maybe I'm naive, but I don't understand these parents that say "he/she wants this so bad, we just have to let them do it" so they quit their jobs etc. Kids often want something "so bad" and parents don't just let them.  I don't know how these parents can say they are not taking advantage of their kids in some way.  If you're not hoping to get some monetary gain for yourself out of this you would have that kid in school and waiting until they're of age to start working. I'm not articulating well, I was just seriously frustrated with the parents.

IMO a child should not be the sole supporter of a family. That's the parents' job. I remember reading about how pressured River Phoenix was to keep acting to help support his family. That's just wrong.

  6. My two favorite reactions:

Angela Bassett's look when Tina said she hadn't seen the movie and didn't want to revisit her past.

Mel Gibson's look when that stupid interviewer brought up Ike's drug arrest. LOL

I'm glad Tina found love and someone who treats her right. She was a lot nicer to her mom than I would be.

  7. I started watching this because I thought it would be interesting. I finished it feeling angry and disgusted.

I hate phoniness. I can't believe Allen's Hollywood enablers and sycophants praising him and giving standing ovations, then having now hopped on the #MeToo train to (probably) save their own careers by distancing themselves from him. If I had been Dylan, I would have told them to fuck off. Where have they been all this time?

I'm glad they brought up the Art vs. Artist thing because that is something I was thinking about. Was I a big Woody Allen fan? No, I could take his movies or leave them. I do enjoy some, with Midnight in Paris being a favorite. Will I be able to watch it again or watch it with the same joy I had before? Probably not and there's the thing with revelations like these that come out about actors and directors and such. Sigh.

The XK-Freak of the week is a direct parallel from one in Smallville's first season, played by journeyman genre actor Tony Todd

I kept saying, "Dude has the jitters!".

Maybe it's done offscreen, but I would think the boys would have a lot more questions. Do they wonder how Supergirl is connected to them?

I also love the scenes where Broyles or Nina Sharp say something like “yeah it took or department a couple years to put that together” and Olivia quips “Yeah it took me a few hours to put it together myself”.

Olivia didn't say that, Broyles did.

I'm re-watching  the series and I watched the season 1 finale and then I watched a reaction video and noticed a weird difference.

In the reaction video it showed the scene where William Bell introduces himself to Olivia and after he says his name, he hits a bell on his desk. In my Vudu episode, that bit with the bell is cut out.

    I wonder why?

Why do you suppose they keep letting her do these drag impressions? Does anyone else in the cast or on the writing staff think they're funny? Or is it simply that Kate at this point is she who must be obeyed?

I think her male impressions are all starting to be the same.

Clark really is oblivious if taking Jonathan to the Fortress never crossed his mind.  Powers or not he deserves the Kryptonian history lesson as much as Jordan.

Agreed. I still think Jon will have powers.

I thought this was pretty funny and it was enlightening to me! What makes women of a certain age start to watch these murder mysteries, missing person, mass killing shows etc.? I think it is very interesting from a psychological point of you. What is the deal?

I don't know about "of a certain age", because I watch these shows all the time. They fascinate me for some reason.

Murder Show and Bachelor Home Makeover were spot on parodies.

  13. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but... I kind of miss Liz. I have actually fallen asleep during the last few episodes and couldn't really tell you what happened in them.

I think being able to dislike someone and having someone to yell at during the show helps keep my interest going. 😦

Good to see Red is not all lost. He loses Liz and gained a friend in the park. In a few weeks, she'll be trained to be a good assassin, clean his money, hide bodies and be an excellent spy (she already has binoculars).

"Hello, I'm Raymond Reddington. I'm No. 1 on the FBI's most wanted list, but I still like to stroll around in public freely. I only get noticed by law enforcement if someone calls in an anonymous tip. So, you like birds? I was once having lunch with Alfred Hitchcock in a quaint little restaurant in London when I happened to mention I was reading this fascinating story by Daphne Du Maurier".
