  1. After Hewitt assured the Woodhulls that Simcoe as they knew him was dead, I half expected Simcoe to pop up sometime before the end and attack Abe, like some horror movie villain who keeps coming back to life. The finale was anticlimactic. It was a good series, nevertheless.
  2. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw the Survivor picture on the Previously tv homepage. Rodney looked like a scared little boy being propped up on that barrel by a women. In spite of his tough talk and the tough guy image that he has been trying to project, Rodney has really shown himself to be a pathetic competitor. The contrast between image and reality is so stark with Rodney. Mike was the man of that team, the leader, the alpha male. Rodney was merely a weak follower like the other two women. Even though the team lost the reward challenge, I thought Mike put Rodney to shame. It was pathetic. Of course, he later lost the immunity challenge to Mike. That didn't surprise me. He is not as tough as he looks.
  3. Sam Adams stuck out like a sore thumb among the delegates of the Continental Congress. Everyone else there was clean shaven and appeared to be well kept. Sam looked grungy. He looked like he should be at a concert instead. In any case, those scenes of the meeting of the Continental Congress were weak, poorly written and badly acted. Sam Adams, at least the History Channel version of him, may have been a credible action hero but that speech that he gave in front of the delegates was just awful. It was hard to watch.
  4. Did Marlene Dietrich wear pantsuits? I'm sorry to say this, but an old hag who is trying to act like a sexpot while wearing a very unfeminine white pantsuit is completely unappealing. That, plus the awful attempt to look hip while singing a rock n roll song with a bad German accent made that scene the most freakish scene this season.
  5. I noticed it too. You could attribute her sad state to one of two things. Good acting. She definitely looked like what her character was suppose to be, a spaced out drunk. Or perhaps, LG is starting to show her age. Where is Annie going to go? How ironic. Annie kicked out Emma, and then Annie, in turn, got tossed out by Bobby. At least Emma had another home to go to.
  6. The singers' "let's work together" strategy apparently only works one way, their way. I noticed that after the singers finished the calligraphy roadblock, they hightailed it out of that church. They didn't offer any help or encouragement to Diva and son. The singers do not reciprocate. They are so selfish. Their stopping on the bridge to appreciate the view didn't impress me. They are always playing and pandering to the cameras. To me, it came across as a phony attempt to show the audience that they're just two humble regular guys that the audience should root for. As phony as I thought they were at least they're not as contemptible as the holier-than-thou father and son and their whiny spirit.
