@LuckyBitch, I think most decent sized fast food burgers are going to be outrageously high in fat, calories, salt, etc.....I'm very careful about my calorie count (I lost 75lbs last year) and every once and a while I treat myself to a juicy fast food burger (or some other high calorie/fat treat) and if there's a "junior" option, I get that one. As for the fries, which I've discovered are almost always worse than burgers, I don't order any--I just steal a few from my kids or husband. Personally, I think 5 Guys is worth it just once, but, everyone has different tastes and you may well go for it and wonder what the big deal is--much like the way I feel about In and Out.
Now, I have a moral dilema: Without getting into a political discussion, the owner of Chick Fil-A went just a bit too far for me with his opinions last year, so I said that if there was one in my city, I'd probably never go. Now, there is one going up just down the road (across the street from the consignment shop "Out of the Closet" lol! Ironic much?), and I have to admit, I've heard so many good things about their food, that I wonder if I should break my promise to myself and try it just once to see what the big deal is. Is it that good? And, if so, what's the best thing on the menu?

I love pizza! I always order mushroom and onion. I used to love pepperoni, but over the past few years, it's started bothering my stomach.

I should find this embarrassing but I don't I love, love, love Pete's Dragon! Humming a little "Candle on the Water" as we speak..........
I loved Pete's Dragon! So much so, that on my first first trip to Disney Land, I had to buy a stuffed Elliot and even teared up a little when he came through in the Electric Light Parade. I was 18. *blush* I like the songs Brazzle Dazzle Day and There's Room for Everyone.

I think 5 Guys fries are fresh cut each day, too. I can't explain, though, why one burger tastes better than another (what I don't like is when the hamburger meat is seasoned, though--that's a good way to be sure that I'll never order a burger from the restaurant again), but I just found 5 Guys to be the best fast food fries and burgers that I've had so far.

Today is our daughter's 13th birthday and we said we'd take her out to the place of her choice. Tonight, we're eating sushi--which is always scary because we can eat a lot of it and, as a result, always flinch when we get the bill :)

We drink raw milk & I love it.
Oh, I love raw milk. In fact, I've had 2% in my fridge for so long, that plain old pasteurized/homogenized whole milk is a treat that I savor.

I don't hate it yet, but I'm getting tired of the number of comedies these days that are done documentary style. It was a neat idea at first, but it seems like more of a normal thing now (but, I don't watch a lot of comedies, so maybe I'm wrong...)

I would have switched the two Egyptian ones (really didn't like that weird, pastel cat that didn't look)
Oh yes...forgot to mention that we thought it looked like an alien version of The Cat in the Hat.

Yeah, I don't get In and Out, either. The line is always ridiculously long and I always think "It's good, but it's not that good." If anything, the milkshakes are the best thing there. The only burger I'd stay in line that long for is 5 Guys.
I'm fairly certain Sonic puts something into their slushees that make it very addictive (besides the high fructose corn syrup).Funny you should mention Sonic: We've never been to one and today, a friend showed up for a quick visit and had two Sonic Slushees with her and said she thought maybe the kids would like one. They took one to be nice and by the end, they were saying "Omg...we have to try Sonic sometime! These are amazing!"

My favorite is peppermint candy, which is usually only available at Christmas, but the rest of the year, mint chocolate chip, please.
Yeah, what's up with that? I've also seen Black Raspberry on occasion, but only in the summer and I love that flavor, too. Seasonal ice creams can be so frustrating.

I'm sure I'll continue thinking of more, but the first two that popped into my head were Matthew McConoughy doing the final argument in A Time to Kill. Rumor has it that he did it in one shot. My husband used to work in the business and isn't convinced of that because of different camera angles and it's not that common to have more than one camera running at once, but maybe.....
And Tom Hanks doing what I've heard is the most realistic depiction of someone in shock that people who know what it looks like have ever seen in Captain Phillips. Even if you don't know what real shock looks like, it's an impressive performance:

Coming out of lurking:
Gwen made some very bad choices and compounded it by wasting so much time trying to fix that pointless chest piece.
What's even worse is that her model had a great physique, so I couldn't understand why she didn't just ditch it and paint his chest with some nice shading. Sure, having a chest piece would've been better, but I'd rather take my chances sending out a good body paint with a good face piece than sending him out with that.
Also, I'd have stayed far away from Stonehenge because it seemed to me to be the most difficult one. And, unless there's a theory that involves water, I was confused as to why that one girl's story was about an aquatic alien being the reason for a large stone structure in the middle of England.

I hate it when unrelated characters grow up together and then own houses in the same neighborhood. When does that ever happen in real life? As much as I love King of the Hill, it bothered me that Hank, Bill, Dale, and Boomhauer somehow managed to buy houses right next to each other in adulthood. That's the only show I can think of as an example, but I'm sure there have been others.
It's not that uncommon in small towns at all.Yeah, I know a few people like this in the town I grew up in and the town my grandparents live in.

Has Independence Day been mentioned? I can't remember. If it hasn't, it should have been.
Yep. I mentioned it, then came back a few posts later to let everyone know that I'd only had about 6 hours of sleep because my husband likes to fall asleep with the tv on and Independence Day was just starting!

Weird is easy!
You Might Think by The Cars (I hated this video!)
Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel

I could drown in ice cream--and I have a long list of flavors that I love. Because of my obsession for it, I buy Dreyers Slow Churned 1/2 fat. IMO, it's just as good (especially the Carmel Delight! omg!) as the regular stuff.
I grew up near Ben and Jerry's so I have a special place for them, but it's a rare treat these days.

Robert Knepper will always be T-Bag from Prison Break to me. Mr. Knepper is probably a very nice man, but he was so vividly T-Bag, that it's hard to not see that character first.
I don't recall ever seeing Robert Knepper in anything else, but he is so damn good in his roll as T-Bag (we just started season 2 of Prison Break) that I can see this happening with me, too.

I just can't drink tea--it makes me gag. I think it has the same kind of taste as when you get too much water mixed with kool-aid, only hot. If I feel like I should drink some just to be polite, I load it with sugar and cream so I can barely taste it.

Beef and bean burritos tonight, although, I'm a little high on calories, so for myself, I might plop the beef and bean mixture on top of some lettuce and tomatoes and have a salad instead.

Arby's and thankfully they don't have one in any city near us or I'd be there once a week. My love for them goes back to before I even knew the name of the restaurant. My parents brought us there once and all I remembered besides how much I loved their sandwiches was the 10-gallon hat out front. One day, when we were driving to D.C for vacation it was lunch time and my parents were discussing where to stop to eat and I saw an Arby's and asked if we could eat at the place with the big cowboy hat. It took them a second to get it, but they did and that's where we ate that day.

I hate that every comedy has to have someone so stupid it's a surprise that person survived as long as they did.

Was that the one with the scavenger hunt, Shannon L.?
Yes! All I really remember is they looking for stars in various areas, the "Hug Me" necklace clue being "Huge M" and the Boneventure Hotel. Even though I don't remember much of it, I remember watching the movie all the time.

How about Midnight Madness, one of Michael J. Fox's first movies?

In the last week of September every year I start my annual "How many times will I hear Thriller?" count. Usually by the end of the 2nd week, I'm ready to break the radio :)

I'm zipping through this thread quickly and will get back with a list later when I have time, but had to comment on this:
Same here! Warm fruit in that syrupy goop? Yuck.
Just real quick before I sign out, while it's on my mind: I can choke down almost anything in order to be polite, but I will go out of my way to pull out any raisin or piece of celery (unless it's softened so much in a soup that I can swallow it w/o biting into it) that I find. ::shudder:: I don't even like the smell of celery.
