This is the same location that we just left in Season 9 isn't it? I wonder if any of them got former campsites. Someone might be lucky enough to get Juan Pablo's junkyard area.

It's the same state (Labrador) but this group was all put on the coast where the earlier contestants were put much further inland (according to Woniya)

  2. I am 15 or so minutes in and I hate Evie so much I hope Joe kills her in her sleep.

OK, finished the episode, still intensely dislike Evie BUT my final question is....why would they give up that sweet bunker? Just toss psycho zombie out. I like that everyone in the ZA grows and consumes weed.

  3. I was really pulling for kooky Karie Lee, she's very inspiring to me as I too am struggling with the idea of now I'm the oldest woman in my family. It's a strange feeling when your body is very clearly the actual chronological age you are but your mind and heart and desires are all youthful. Long live Karie Lee, I hope her wilderness school comes to fruition.

  4. No, I don't believe that. I'm glad they got Danai back and from what I read, it's clear she and Andrew will be responsible for the bulk of whatever this story is going to be. (As an aside, I swear it almost sounds like they're doing a Hallmark Valentines special, "Love in the time of zombies" or some such).

I saw that episode recently, it was Walt he had invited and he did say "the kids" won't eat the stew he makes. Could be grandkids but seeing the home security measures he has in this timeline, I fail to see how he would think it was safe to have family there. Doesn't seem prudent for such a controlled and meticulous man.

If we assume Gus is bi-sexual then *maybe* he married a woman and they had kids but does any of that seem consonant with everything we've seen of Gus? As horrible as Gus really is, the man is nothing if not meticulous and true to himself. I believe Gus is gay and would never put on a beard. I also believe Gus could NEVER tolerate children actually living in his home or even visiting his home. Too messy, too unpredictable and uncontrollable. Nope, kids would NEVER be part of Gus' life, the man doesn't even have a cat. Everything any visitor saw was perfectly orchestrated to create some curated fiction in the visitor's mind. Gus was living in a closet that was nestled within a safe that was buried in 20 feet of concrete.

Here is a reaction channel that I found after last week's episodes.

I've found quite a few episodes of this show to be very moving and Howard's sudden death really shook me hard but the breakup screne between Kim and Jimmy had be absolutely sobbing, I've never seen anything quite like it. Some of the most incredible acting ever. This show is just amazing in every regard.

This is what separates the people with real skills to do this kind of thing from people who just play at it. Most of the past winners got by with very rudimentary shelters, little more than a tent and a sleeping bag. The ones that spend enormous amounts of energy on elaborate shelters don't tend to last long.

Except for Roland who built Rock House.

  7. I thought this was a strong season and I really loved a lot of it but I was left with QUESTIONS!!! First, why did every car (except Reginald's) have the steering wheel on the wrong side? I thought they were in America. Second, who was that woman enclosed in an environmental unit on the moon with Luthor and third, why was that woman seen outside the unit standing with Reginald there at the top of that giant skyscraper at the very end? Fourth, was Reginald an alien? Was he ALWAYS an alien? Now that I've written that, I seem to be having the vaguest of memories, maybe I should re-watch season 2... Is the actor who plays Luthor English? Or Australian? It sounded like he was struggling with an American accent the entire season. Anyway, I was so glad to see Luthor really moving on with his life and falling in love with Sloane, that was great. I was very glad to see 5 got long pants (I love that actor) and I just adored the hate-story between him and Lila. I liked how they handled Vanya into Victor (but I did feel like it got just a bit drawn out and slightly schmaltzy). I did not enjoy what happened to Mom but I DID enjoy seeing hard ass Pogo, biker gang leader! Good season, I would be fine with that being the end.

I say this every season but................. I still don't quite understand camera placement.  We watched a guy catch a trout and there was a river between him and the camera.  Did he set the camera and then wade across to fish?  I don't get it.

If you ever get a chance watch some of the bonus episodes. Some f those show exactly what contestants are required to do each day as far as multi-camera set-ups.

Yeah, they're hanging a lot on this slim possibility of getting a bear.  I think the other big game take downs--the moose and musk ox--in other seasons were more or less happenstance?  Not saying there wasn't woodcraft and stalking and good hunting going on with both those kills, but they didn't come as a result of a "My only chance of winning is to kill a __________" strategy.  I think these guys are getting tunnel vision on the bear to their detriment.  Is there truly no other game other than squirrels and bears?  Oh yeah.  Grouse and beaver.  No deer, elk, rabbits?  Wild turkeys?  Possums?  It is just bear, bear, bear all the time with those two.

I hope they don't have bordering territories, see the same bear, and end up shooting each other by accident.  Do they have buffer zones between territories, or do the territories butt up against each other?

You know, that's the thing about these fellows obsessing over catching a 400#+ bear...that 400#+ bear got to 400#+ by eating SOMETHING, something they are choosing NOT to seek out, something that would be infinitely easier to catch, kill and eat (or just eat, like the berries and what not). I mean, I know bears can eat things humans can not but bears are omnivores, just like us and it takes A LOT to maintain that weight so...

On to the second thing, this is what I found

    Quote

How far apart are Alone's participants? In Mongolia, the contestants each had about five square miles to themselves. That doesn't include the buffer between their plot and other contestants' space. There was at least four miles between the participants' plots of land.

    Too harsh? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Why does she "deserve" the middle finger for getting off this shit show and moving on the something better? I always thought she (like the rest of the cast) made the most of what she was handed. I hope she gets all the good things.

Has anyone ever caught a bear before? Can you eat bear?

    I've eaten bear meat.

    4 hours ago, meep.meep said:

I think the largest animal any one on the show has taken was a moose.  You can eat bear, but getting one with arrows is a very risky undertaking.  It will also result in an enormous amount of meat so you'll have to be wary of the lesser predators (wolverines, foxes, wolves) who will come after that.  These bears are not only big, but they are bulking up to hibernate.

Doesn't look like anyone is drying fish or caching berries for later in the season.

Oh lordy, did you miss the season of the musk ox? Killed with a knife. Every bit of it consumed. King Roland, killer of musk ox.

  12. So, finally, after all this time we see people actually CAN survive the zombie infection. OR I completely misunderstood and there in the end, Alicia actually died. The way it was filmed, I have no idea. Either way...this show has gotten as silly as that really stupid "World Beyond". I'm probably out once the mothership ends. Madison coming back is far too little far, far too late.

  13. Row, row, row the boat, gently out to sea

    Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily

    The baby had to flee

Is this the season final? Or next episode? Will a hurricane blow the raft out of the gulf, around Florida and up the east coast to Virginia?

  14. Not only what Smad said but MMB was not being paid equal to NR even though they would've been co-stars. She's paid her dues, no need for all the hassle.

    AMC statement:

“Melissa McBride has given life to one of the most interesting, real, human and popular characters in ‘The Walking Dead’ Universe. Unfortunately, she is no longer able to participate in the previously announced spin-off focused on the Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier characters, which will be set and filmed in Europe this summer and premiere next year.

Relocating to Europe became logistically untenable for Melissa at this time. We know fans will be disappointed by this news, but ‘The Walking Dead’ Universe continues to grow and expand in interesting ways and we very much hope to see Carol again in the near future.”

Also can, somebody, anybody please be gay in these shows? (but that's not going to happen, is it?)

I doubt any main characters will be gay or lesbian which really sucks. Know what else sucks? I don't see this show being able to pull off any sort of trans representation either. Maybe someday.

I'm also concerned that if the story gets interesting the CW viewers won't be interested (and hence it will be soon cancelled).

Yes, the CW does have a template, and that template is to revisit our last big shared experience, high school.  It is hard to find the high school in Babylon 5.

While this statement is mainly true, The CW has 1 show at least that is really at the level of quality we should all hope for with the new Bab5 and that show is Superman & Lois. While supposedly set in the same universe as Beebo, The Flash & Batwoman, Superman & Lois LOOKS like it's made for a different service all together, it LOOKS like it's for HBO or Netflix. I'm hoping the new Babylon5 LOOKS that good & we get enough good actors to make it all worthwhile. It's exciting to consider, isn't it?

he didn't bother with the baby milk but spent the time building a replica of  the Back to the Future car instead.

So I'm no expert on cars or anything but back in the 80's, my first girlfriend drove a Ford Pinto (obviously before all the explosions and the recall). While I was watching last night's episode I thought to myself, isn't that a Ford Pinto? How the hell did Morgan even find one of those? Oh, nice, he put the baby in the very back, right above the gastank. Oh, even nicer, Morgan apparently rigged something up so that he could carry extra tanks of fuel...right on the back. Man, that baby has the thickest plot armor EVER!!!

  19. So, no comments at all? Has this show lost its way? Maybe they just went too far out with the whole Dada thing? I never would have thought this show even could go "too far out" but maybe so.
