  1. Jefra does seem sweet, but her Ponderosa video was pretty boring. It did give some interesting insight into her relationship with LJ, though. Her saying that he was like a big brother was more information about their relationship than we got on the actual show or even in his exit interviews. He got asked a few questions about Jefra, but never really said anything. They seemed to spend a lot of time together at Ponderosa. Must have been nice for him to have someone to talk to other than Morgan and Sarah (Jeremiah was probably still recovering at this point).
  2. I still think it's weird that no one came up to greet him when he got voted out, especially since he generally seems to be well-liked, but I guess the precedent has been set for this Ponderosa. It was nice of LJ to check on him, though. I guess LJ had come from another one of his great, "inspirational" beach workouts, because he was super sweaty. Also, his hair looked totally normal here. Just wear it like that to tribal!
  3. When talking about blindsiding LJ, Tony said "I didn't break promises. I did it for a reason," ...which is still breaking promises.
  4. I thought it was ridiculous when Tony got offended that Trish called him out on playing both sides. Like, dude, why shouldn't she call you out? Did you actually think you'd be able to get away with all this without someone saying something? I mean, the answer is clearly yes, but still. I watched one of Tony's secret scenes where he claims that without him, most of the alliance of 5 would already be gone. I think he has confused himself with Trish.
  5. I find it interesting that the players' perception of him seems to be that he's the "big player" in the game. Yes, he's made some moves, but he makes the wrong ones or makes one that don't even change the course of the game. Of course this has to do with him being the loudest player there and the theatrics around everything he does. The only moves he's made that worked were blindsiding LJ and...I guess we can count finding the TP idol as another. That's it, but everyone believes he's running the show. This was impressive. It's funny that we had Tony and LJ who both proclaimed several times to read people really well, but it's Trish who actually does. I think she's playing the mother angle perfectly with Jefra (and part of it probably is just natural and not for the sake of the game). When they were talking near the "spy shack", Trish leaned over and took a twig or something out of Jefra's hair. It may seem insignificant, but I think it's little moments like these that probably helped make Jefra feel comfortable and trusting of Trish.
  6. It was hilarious that he thought this was something he had to hide. Also hilarious? Trish saying the papayas were like Morgan's boobs. Also hilarious? When Tony found the Tyler Perry idol (that part was not so hilarious) and said "I love you, man!!" to the idol! This episode really brought the funny. Sometimes I look at Survivor as a comedy instead of a reality TV show and I have to say, I enjoy it a lot more when I do that. Maybe I'm really mean, but I laughed at Spencer's voting confessional for Woo. It was just so...accurate based on what we've seen from Woo (which, granted, has not been much). Does Jeff Probst seriously believe that people will think it's awesome that Tyler Perry watches Survivor? He think it's really so cool? If he does then he is way off! No one care if Tyler Perry is a fan of the show and I really, really hate the special powers idol. I've thought for the last 2 weeks that Spencer was going to win (just based on the edit) and everyone has been writing Tony off, saying that he's going to self-destruct or that if he gets to the end he won't get the jury votes. I think this jury will respect game play though. I know Spencer and Tasha saying they would vote for Tony at the end was part of their strategy last night, but I actually think they would. I think Kass, Trish and even LJ would too. I'm not really rooting for anyone this season, but I think Trish should win. A lot of Tony's moves have been big and flashy, but ineffective (the cop lie to Sarah was stupid, he played his idol wrong). It's pretty amazing that Trish has even made it this far when you think about it. She was picked as the weakest on day 1 and was outside the majority alliance on Brawn. I agreed with her move to blindside Cliff, because if she hadn't I don't think she would have made it very far past the merge. She developed this 5-person alliance and has now saved it twice, but Tony gets all the credit.
  7. I totally agree with this. She is the most effective player out there and it saddens me to know that she probably won't receive proper credit. The editing of women on this show will never stop annoying me.
  8. He was so weird during his interview with Parvati. He seems really hurt by the perception that he's a boring person, so maybe he was trying to change that? The weirdest part was when he and Parvati were talking about cuddling. He was saying he doesn't like cuddling, but that there's a time and a place for it, like for 30 seconds after "love making situations". Too much information LJ, too much information. Though it was kind of funny.
  9. I'm really liking this season too, which is why I was surprised when I realized there's no one I actually want to win. Like I think the tribal councils have been exciting and there's been interesting game play, but I guess I just don't feel like the people that could win are all that likable? I was enjoying Tony, but he kind of lost me with his yelling after receiving votes at the last TC. Did he really think the other alliance would never target him? I'm also starting to notice what people have been pointing out with how he talks over other people and can be kind of rude. I alternate between liking Spencer and thinking he's arrogant/annoying. I do think that if he had been on a good tribe in the beginning and hadn't been such an underdog, he probably would have been insufferable. Sometimes I like Tasha, but she's sort of just there. She also has blow-ups that are uncomfortable to watch (like in the first episode when she yelled at Garrett to quit. I understood it was frustrating for her, but still, you gotta keep it together). I think Trish has been playing the best game, but all the Lindsey stuff was super uncomfortable and I just don't see her getting credit from the jury for the moves she's made. I don't think people realize that she's actually been more effective than Tony. Other than his move to get out LJ, Tony's plans haven't really worked. Trish's plans have.
  10. I remember after the cast bios for this season came out and even after the first few episodes, a lot of people were saying how smart/perceptive LJ was. I realize now he's practically incoherent most of the time! He mixes up metaphors and has nonsensical analogies. The last few episodes I thought it was exhaustion, but since he's been like that in exit interviews over the last few days, I guess he's just not as articulate as it had seemed. He also claims that being boring was his strategy on the island. Okay...then why is he the same way in these videos too? The game was over for him at that point. I say this as someone who likes LJ and thinks of him as low-key, rather than boring, but some of his claims just don't add up. Hahahaha this was so weird and out of place! I guess maybe this is the side of him he's saying that he hid while on the show? Which if he did, good call there.
  11. I actually thought it made sense for LJ not to meet with Tasha (although he should have told her that instead of standing her up). If he thinks the best position for him is to move forward with Tony and he knows Tony is super paranoid, why borrow trouble by meeting with her? I think based on what he knew at the time it made sense. What I don't understand is why Trish didn't come and tell LJ what Tony was telling her about LJ wanting to get rid of Woo. Normally I would assume she did and that it was just edited out, but given how shocked LJ was when he was voted out, I don't think she told him. This was hilarious! I totally did a double-take when he started talking about this. Also, Trish's crush on LJ is alive and well. She kept touching him randomly before the reward challenge.
  12. I think they were unnecessarily rude to him. When was the last time someone came to Ponderosa and no one greeted them? Morgan comes off as a little brat.
  13. Why can't there be more women on Survivor who are hot and smart? They do exist!
  14. More LJ would be great! I really wanted for him to have a confessional in this episode where he explained why he played the idol for Tony. A lot of people have been tossing around different reasons (emotional play, not wanting Tony to get mad when if LJ didn't play it and then found out later that LJ had an idol, looking over and seeing the other alliance laughing, meaning that the Solana 5 missed the target). It would have been nice to have found out why. He was so quiet the whole episode. After he won the RC he seemed like he was so tired that he could barely move.
  15. I find myself doing this too or rewinding the scenes he's in. He has some sort of hypnotic quality to him. Some of the posters at twop were saying he looked a bit rough this episode, but I was like, he still looks good to me! Awww I think it's sad that he's so self-conscious about this that he wears the hat all the time. He almost never takes it off. Just own it like Tony does!
