  1. I've been told Law & Order has things cut that are actually necessary for a viewer to understand the plot. I wouldn't be surprised. There was an episode of "Three's Company" in which a guy invited Janet to a party and told her to bring a date, so she brought Jack. Before the party started, there was a scene where the guy was talking to a gorgeous blonde, and the viewing audience eventually learned that she was his sister Nancy. When Jack and Janet arrived, the guy started to introduce them to Nancy, but he was interrupted before he could say the word "sister." So when Nancy hit on Jack, he was very uncomfortable, because he didn't realize that she was the guy's sister. He thought that she was his girlfriend. In syndication, the conversation between the guy and Nancy was cut out, so the viewing audience had no idea that they were brother and sister. So when Nancy hit on Jack, and Jack got uncomfortable, and the studio audience laughed and laughed, the viewing audience had no idea what was so funny. Now I'm wondering what other funny stuff from "The Big Bang Theory" I missed.
  2. I just watched the episode "The Robotic Manipulation" for the umpteenth time. I've watched it on TBS, FOX New York, and WOR (an independent New York TV station). If it weren't for youtube, I wouldn't know that the episode ends with Leonard saying to Howard, "What do you mean it happened again?" Every single time, the episode that I watch ends with Sheldon telling Penny that she has time to go out and look for #32. Why do TPTB at those TV stations cut off the extremely funny ending? I don't think it's because of censorship, because nothing in that episode is ever censored.
  3. There was an $800 question asked about what title was abolished in 1806. Nick buzzed in and asked, "What is the Holy Roman Empire?" Dr. Oz immediately said that he was correct. Then Nick said that no, he meant "Holy Roman Emperor." If Alex had been the host, before the contestants started Final Jeopardy, he would have said that $1,600 was being deducted from Nick's winnings because of the incorrect question. It has happened when Alex hosted. He later on had to admit that the judges caught that the contestant had added an "S" or said "Wimbleton" instead of "Wimbledon" or something. But nothing was deducted from Nick's winnings. I don't know if the judges were afraid of embarrassing Dr. Oz. I just hoped that Nick's extra $1,600 wouldn't make a difference in the final outcome. Fortunately, it did not.
  4. I enjoyed the tournament so much. I really didn't care who won, because I figured that whoever won deserved to win. I would have liked it if it had taken a few more games for someone to win, but I guess Ken was just too good. I was very surprised, though, that Brad wasn't a factor at all. I felt bad for him, but I guess he's crying all the way to the bank.
  5. In the first half of the show, there was an instant when the amounts of the players' winnings were shown in reverse.
