  1. Ha! I also thought that. Although I did appreciate the girl who was creative enough to make Neopolitan blondies.
  2. I have nothing to add except that this is dead on and made me LOL:
  3. Because you've been tossed a stupid and tricky twist that has thrown you off your game. I hate the twists. Just let them bake, for god's sake. Everything would look and probabaly taste so much nicer. Agree that the Baker's Cam is dumb as hell.
  4. Thank you! I knew I'd heard that expression somewhere and it was driving me crazy!
  5. That decision was...not my favorite. Ally took a wild swing and missed. But at least she took a wild swing. Yohan messed up MACARONS, for crying out loud. And while I know they don't necessarily consider the pre-heat results, since they both messed up their main heats, surely it could have come into play a little bit.
  6. I wanted Christian to win but was resigned to Clement taking it (and couldn't have really argued if he had). Did not see Luke coming. After he barely skated by on the donuts and whiffed the pre-heat, all I can say is that must have been one hell of a cake. I though it was some sort of chocolate filling to go with the raspberry jam - wasn't Clement the one who used chocolate chips? Christian should have tried out for Halloween Baking Championship. I think he would have killed that. (Er, pun intended?)
  7. Or maybe he's just not the type of person who likes to make excuses for their work. (Or, like Rammchick said above, it may have just been edited out.) YMMV, obviously, but it didn't give me the impression he didn't think the criticism was warranted. That being said, I don't know why he ever thought piping a few tulips on a chandelier was going to cut it.
  8. I think that one was an homage to "Rhythm of Life" from Sweet Charity. Also a very catchy tune.
  9. And Jessica's lattice was reddish and I swear it looked like she put holly leaves on it. I was very much expecting Nancy to bust out a "it looks like Christmas" but then she didn't.
  10. I really want to like Christian, since he said he taught culinary arts to special needs people, but his personality is leaving me a little cold so far. And I didn't see "going to the farmers market" anywhere in that cake, although it was admittedly beautiful. Maybe he'll grow on me. Was happy Jai won. And I enjoyed the one guy's cake that looked like two dead bodies dumped on a hillside.
  11. I gotta disagree about the Mars book - Season of Passage. I found that one creepy as hell for some reason. I seem to remember the donuts and track from the Final Friends series - didn't Russ run track? Not sure the rest fits, though.
