  1. Is she wearing a wig... why does her hairline area look so weird? I too am very happy that he washed his hands of FC. He genuinely seemed happier than Ridge, Steffy, etc.
  2. These are excellent scenes... it's a shame that they're left on the cutting room floor instead of Waffles Triangle scene #1, 326. The Rick/Katie scene is the stuff that's left out when they're trying to make a character a one-dimensional tyrant.
  3. I replaced a few words and look... we completely agree. The writers did the same garbage post-reveal and some people were cool with that because they like CaRidge. I wasn't willing to drink the CaRidge Kool-Aid that involved making Rick so completely obnoxious (which would've been fine if he was acting that way when happily married to Caroline) just to prop them and paint them as victims. It's crappy writing regardless of which names are in capital letters.
  4. Considering the amount of information that's circulated to idiots standing near that opened door, Eric locking the door was probably the most intelligent thing anyone's done in that office since Stephanie was alive.
  5. I don't think this is 100% comparable. Ridge finds himself in his current predicament due to his own actions... he was the choice to be CEO. Rick's predicament was in no way due to his own actions. Eric later admitted that he never should've made a condition for Rick to stay with Caroline, a woman Rick obviously has never wanted to be with since the reveal. "Doing what needs to be done" is not quite the way I view Ridge's behavior. I see it as a spoiled brat (the same thing Ridge always says about Rick) finally getting what he wanted... himself in charge. Ridge being worried about the future of the company, morale, and all that other horseshit was always a front with the end goal of him being the CEO. Despite the fact I HATE Ridge Forrester, I could actually understand his POV if he wasn't so damn insistent that HE be the one running the company. I'd say Ridge and especially Steffy. But I'll reserve my judgement until I see Maya get with a family member's significant other (or drag an adult away from their wedding by force), then pretend to be the injured party... actions that Ridge and Steffy have perfected. Eric was a bit nastier than I expected. However, there's nothing he could've said to Steffy that I would've considered out of bounds.
  6. Comment can be applied to 99.9% of the characters who've ever appeared on Bold and the Beautiful. And to be entirely fair, Rick would never have the job if it weren't for RIDGE'S unbecoming behavior, not the "doddering old fool". That behavior is as much the root of the current "workplace toxicity" as anything else. If that's the case why would Eric put that man back in charge? Ridge isn't asking for anyone else to be in charge (Thorne who?)... just him.
  7. I would be okay with that if Ivy wasn't the same character who set an Olympic World Record for excuse making after the CaRidge reveal. It's hypocritical at best (and completely friggin' asinine at worst) to dismiss CaRidge's duplicity, then be questioning anything happening between Rick and Maya. To be fair, she was just one of MANY characters doing the same idiotic thing. Ridge pretending to do this for altruistic reasons has been good for a chuckle. I laughed each time he recounted the story of how Rick attacked him, especially how he conveniently left out the parts about sneaking up to Rick's room and acting like a gigantic asshole to someone who was recuperating from a car accident. At this point, I wish they would've let Rick go to jail for shooting the gun as opposed to hearing about it every episode since then. I can't fathom how this triangle will be easier to stomach just because Hope has been replaced by Ivy. I HATE Steffy, detest Waffles, and honestly don't care about Ivy at all.
  8. I just wish Rick would've told Eric to shove the job up his ass. That whining was waaaaay too much. Call CJ and try to get the Spectra name, then steal all of CaRidge's designs. Ridge is absolutely despicable. Anyone who would even get involved with that turd is extremely suspect in my book. ITA. I'll take shitty, waffling, enabling fathers for $1000 Alex.
  9. That's how I felt about the show a while back... complete with CaRidge as the sympathetic figures, Rick/Maya as the big meanies, and everyone else there for the sole purpose of coddling Caroline and to a lesser degree, Ridge. It's funny now that the shoe is on the other foot. Silly, over the top writing isn't good regardless of whether you like the characters involved or not.
  10. I think Rick's reaction was only out of character for the trollish buffoon they turned him into in the wake of CaRidge.
  11. You know there's a problem when Adebisi is only the 4th or 5th most despicable person in an episode. I know why Theon has no balls, but Tommen?
  12. Rick hasn't been incompetent... he's just been mean to Bill's niece and his son's girlfriend (who I doubt he cares about at all). The show has already tried several times to show what a hypocrite Bill is being in regards to Rick's "management style". Having an affair with your husband's brother is "falling off the pedestal"? I'd bet that's among the top reasons to be reviled, regardless of what someone said about them before. We're just going to have to disagree there. Ridge purposefully tried to use Caroline's crush on him to thwart Rick's chances of being CEO. That's literally the beginning of this entire mess. I'm not saying Ridge has to take all of the blame for the current predicament everyone finds themselves in, but he should acknowledge the part his less than altruistic actions played. Ridge acts like he did nothing wrong, hence the retconned horseshit about Rick's behavior as a husband. Where I do agree is that Brooke has very little right to parachute in later and jump on Ridge, especially when she's more pissed about CaRidge as it affects her than what it did to her son. And what exactly was Rick's behavior problem when he was Caroline's husband? You mean he started acting like a jerk/liar after he found out about CaRidge? Shocking! There isn't one thing that happened prior to his wife cheating that justifies that silly comment I've heard on the show from Caroline, Ridge, etc. It's the biggest problem I've had with this storyline. Instead of just letting Ridge and Caroline be the bad guys (or accept the proper amount of grief), they had to make Rick an over the top asshole to the point I'm stunned Aly hasn't said, "Yes Massa, right away Massa". It was too much and no amount of it was going to make me like CaRidge or gloss over their affair. I still can't imagine they're going to go there with Rick being violent to Maya, but they seem to be dropping hints. But if someone is going to get shot, let it be Nicole. I find it interesting that the show is still trying to make Liam the good guy... as much of a good guy as someone who's constantly kissing an ex can be. Wyatt, OTOH, looks like a gigantic, gaping asshole. I wish they'd bring back Hope just to kick him in the nuts (No dialogue. Just a kick, then off she goes). I can't wait to see his face when Ridge's first action as CEO is to fire his mother. Since I doubt Katie will be able to cushion the blow of the Maya reveal or prevent it entirely, what's the purpose of her disagreement with Bill? Are they going to break up again? Boooooring.
  13. Are the individual episodes titled? If so, I assume that today's ep is titled, "How stupid can Nicole really be?: Yes, even stupider." Wyatt and Liam are miserable twits like their father now. The only possible way for Nicole to redeem herself is to hack into SP and create all sorts of shenanigans.
  14. I'll give the show credit for one thing... Ridge told Eric and Brooke rather quickly. I thought that damn thing would be stretched out for weeks.
  15. Personally, I'm tired of Ridge's whining. He's got no one to blame for his current predicament other than himself. Eric chose Ridge and Ridge is the one who fucked that up. He needs to suck it up. If/when Eric decides to keep Rick beyond 1 year, then go on your way. For all of his horseshit about Ivy, Wyatt, etc., it seems obvious to me Ridge only cares about how this affects him. He's a selfish person who can barely contain himself when someone gives an opinion contrary to his own. As I've said numerous times, I don't care about Rick, but I REALLY don't care about Ridge. He can take a hike anytime. For all of this talk about how Rick is a bad person, so is Ridge.
  16. That goes both ways. I doubt anyone has the audacity to complain when the CEO of those companies you listed says the work isn't good enough or hasn't been handed in in a timely manner. While good bosses ask for input, I doubt they expect to have every decision they make questioned regardless of it's intent. Rick can certainly be blamed for the atmosphere at FC, but we've seen people flip out on him when he asked simple, normal things that any boss would ask of any worker at any company. I honestly can't get into the Maya storyline. It's crap and the way CBS is trying to sell it doesn't work when the person involved is being deceitful. Dragging out the reveal certainly doesn't help either. I think I really hate Katie. She isn't a good person at all. I'd rather hang out with Quinn in a room full of knives.
  17. I feel horrible for the actress, but I guess a job is a job. When they say anyone can write this horseshit, they mean literally anyone.
  18. Prior to the reveal, I was thinking, "Please don't be porn or Nicole's Mom". After the reveal, I was thinking, "I wish it was porn or she was Nicole's Mom".
  19. They didn't have Rick acting like this when he was married to Caroline, so it strikes me as made-up B.S. to get viewers to root for the other characters/outcome. It's way over the top.
  20. It was a nice ep, despite my intense dislike of the George/AB pairing. Wade's apology was excellent, as were the Breeland sisters. Ethel is so cute... I can't even be annoyed by Shelby because of her. I know they needed to do something with George and AB, but I cannot stomach him with anyone other than Tansy. I'm still a recovering Lavon/AB-shipper. The lack of age difference between Meredith Monroe and Jaime King is messing me up each time I see them together. If I didn't know Monroe's general age because of Dawson's Creek, it probably wouldn't be so big of an issue.
  21. The funniest part of Ridge and Liam's conversation is that Ridge acted like a dick until he heard something that interested him. This idea that things will be roses and lollipops once he takes over is laughable... Ridge is as big an asshole as anyone else there, including Rick. He'd probably tell Aly to kick rocks with that shoe line. I recall him tossing Oliver aside within 3 minutes of his return to LA. The worst part was Liam saying twice that Ivy and Caroline were "being treated like slaves". Really? You'd think that a room full of writers could figure out how to get that point across in a more intelligent way. The Maya-Nicole thing is boring me already. Whatever the issue is, spit it out. I'm having difficulty with the Ivy-Steffy thing because I haven't cared about Ivy since her arrival and I generally detest Steffy. Plus, they're fighting over Waffles. I did have a chuckle last week when Waffles said he was committed to Ivy now. Does "now" mean after he kissed Hope?
  22. And I say "Die in a car fire Ridge!" He's a contemptible piece of garbage who doesn't seem to have learned any lessons from his grotesque behavior. In today's ep, Caroline, who I also cannot stand, is at least willing to accept some modicum of responsibility for her behavior and what transpired after that. That's fucking growth. Old ass Ridge and growth? All we get is waistline and facial hair growth from him. The more I watch this the more I'm convinced that his behavior towards Rick has almost nothing to do with Rick's actions... it's all about the fact he's not in charge. That's all Ridge appears to care about. Caroline doesn't need him to defend her anymore. At no point does it appear to sink into him that he might have done something wrong that somehow led everyone down this path. It's the same thing with the helicopter fall. Brooke didn't ask, nor did she need him to fly halfway across the globe to stop her wedding or drag her to the helicopter like a child. His actions, in part, led to the fall that temporarily disrupted his drawing ability. Did he ever for one second think, "Gee, maybe I shouldn't have done that?" Of course not. It was as if he had 15 fingers so he could point them in every direction except at himself. He even managed to blame Brooke for a second. Don't take this as a defense of Rick or Maya's actions... it really isn't. It seems as if every character on the show is capable of looking in the mirror and admitting they screwed up (even if for one second) except for one. Ridge is trash. He wants what he wants when he wants until he doesn't want it anymore. But he reserves the right to want it again.
  23. That's pretty much the gist. I also agree about the age difference not being a reason for my disgust with those two. It's not like LG looks like Ariana Grande.
  24. I'm never going to think CaRidge is "hot" simply because they both disgust me as people. This isn't going to change for me... Ridge's complete lack of regret and Caroline's complete lack of candor are really unattractive qualities. No amount of piling on with Rick, demonizing of Maya, or "ar-teest" B.S. with CaRidge is going to make me forget/ignore that. I know that's the direction the show is trying to push me in, but I'm not going to do that. Brooke's stupidity is mind-numbing. All her return has accomplished is making that character look outrageously selfish and petty. The possible alliances in the FC takeover story could be interesting despite my extreme disdain for Liam and his plan. But let's try to avoid out of the blue foolishness like this sudden Wyatt "I hate the Forresters" crap. WTF is he talking about and where did that come from?
