  1. It's like he's mad they have a naturally popular couple. Which is even stranger because Spencer and Trina were set up to be together from his first day back in PC. Bizarre.
  2. I think we all saw his star potential from Day 1 and expected this, but I'm really pleased for him. How amazing that he was about to quit acting altogether when he got cast on GH. Mark Teschner has an eye for young talent.
  3. I'm a bit late, but I was shocked by Claire's betrayal. Then somehow the actress and the writing made me understand her and it. It's a downer, this show, but it's brilliant.
  4. I wonder if she meant sometimes Joss has to suck? Eden seems to understand it was cheating based on her twitter likes at the time. It must be hard for the actors to talk about the writing on the show as though it makes any sense at all. I've seen a resurgence of fans pushing for Marcus to come back as Nikolas now that TC seems like a non-option. I have to admit, I'd prefer that to Adam Huss, but I also wouldn't mind Nik staying gone for a while. I'd prefer they bring back Laura's other son, though I suspect that would also require a recast, and a whole lot of writing to explain his many many years of absence.
  5. This is giving me such terrible Babe from AMC flashbacks. Wouldn't it be fun if Joss was part of Dex's revenge plan? I don't know if the actor can pull it off, but I'd enjoy it.
  6. My only issue what that is if Dex is a loyal child to AJ he should also hate Carly, and would go after her too. Which would be good soap, if he actually is trying to take Carly down while sleeping with Joss. Or if his sleeping with Joss was somehow part of his plan to take Carly down. But I don't see that happening. The actor is pretty wooden, IMO. Yes there's some chemistry between him and Eden but he lacks charisma.
  7. Truly, Michael will have lots of other wives and girlfriends, all of whom will probably die after being with him. Nina is unlikely to have another child (it's GH so have to add that caveat). But in reality, Michael is who we should be feeling sorry for, and yet...I don't. At all. That's the shows fault.
  8. Meanwhile Taggert's first thoughts were to comfort his daughter and reminder her she will always be his baby girl. The only likable thing about Curtis is that he's a loyal friend to Nina.
  9. He has become one of the worst characters on the show, it's amazing how quickly that happened. I know Nina was trying to fish for info on him and Carly, but he was being so dismissive of and rude to her. His whole personality is talking up Carly and being in a "secret" relationship no one cares about. The show was pretty great the past couple of days, and it was mainly because the storylines were moving and the acting was very fun and soapy. But it was also because it wasn't the Carlys hour. Unlike Carly keeping Nina and Willow's connection a secret, I expect Portia's secret will actually have repercussions. And Esme/Heather/Ryan now mixed with Ava and Felicia is just great soap. I hope the reveal that Esme is Ryan's keeps Liz from going to the cops with her own confession, but that she gets more involved in that storyline. Basically everything that isn't the Carlys is pretty decent right now.
  10. It's amazing isn't it? It's the first time in decades I genuinely enjoy Sonny. I get depressed whenever I see the official gh instagram comments, because they're all clamoring for the return of pre-Nina Sonny. But Sonny today is charming, and happy, and makes reasoned, logical decisions.
  11. This has been Finn's dynamic with Elizabeth from the start. When she was being "haunted" by Franco and when Ava got hooked, he started making decisions for her and it pissed her off then. I don't mind Finn, but I really don't think he and Liz are a good match. If TJ ends up with anyone but Molly, I hope it's Willow, if anything useful remains of that character after Michael. I saw a real spark there when they shared scenes. I was hoping Nikolas would flee town with his newborn. We don't need a baby in the teen scene, and Nik could use a few years of good and gone.
  12. I understood why Coloma was considered a weak actor by so many, because he really did have that open-mouth-fish look often. But he had such intense chemistry with Maura, and a good chemistry with NAC too. Adam Huss is a better actor, but lacks spark, and I don't think he fits as Nikolas, who is supposed to be charming. To me he has a bit of a sleazy, squirrelly vibe. We weren't supposed to empathize with him Friday, I don't think, but even his hug with Laura left me cold. Whereas NAC's Spencer, I'm always drawn to and I always feel some level of sympathy for when he shows vulnerability. The show seems allergic to good couples though, and continually wastes chemistry. As annoying as Brook Lynn is right now, she and Chase had a lot of chemistry in the beginning. Completely wasted. Nava had chemistry to spare, but they were also wasted (I guess they at least got to have sex first). I like this version of Sprina, but when SM was playing Trina, there was a smoldering chemistry there and they never even got a first kiss. But they give us tons of Drew and Carly, which no one wants. Such a mystery this show.
  13. I did a rewatch last year as well, and it was truly great tv. Michelle running away, and her anger at Ed, and eventually forgiving him, was given so much sensitivity. And they gave it enough time to play out, nothing was rushed. I know many see Maureen's death as the beginning of the end of the best of GL, and I don't disagree, but it was a very well done storyline.
  14. I'd like to see a bit of a merger, which would make Esme a nice gray character. But they need to give her one (non-crazy parent) to be loyal to. I was with others in hoping it might be Cameron but I have a feeling now that Joss dumped him, we won't be seeing much of him. It's also annoying that they're going to saddle this 19/20 year old with a baby. Does Heather know that Ryan was basically pimping Esme out? I hope she'd be outraged if she found out (unless she already knows and thinks it's fine).
  15. It was such a cruel thing to say, but Joss has shown she is cruel and disloyal. Does she have any redeeming qualities? Cam was going through a terrible time and was stressed about his mom, while trying to keep a job to help his mother, and do well in school. Spoiled privileged Joss has some nerve, especially considering how self-righteous she is about Spencer being spoiled. And about Sonny cheating! The self-righteous hypocrisy is outstanding. I don't understand why the writers try so hard to make the characters unlikable. I really really enjoy Spencer mocking and demeaning Dex, because NC is great at that kind of snarky haughtiness and because someone has to. But where is Trina in this storyline? She's supposedly Joss's best friend and her roommate. Joss has been using their room as her private f-pad. And Trina has her own separate friendship with Cameron. Trina normally has a really solid moral compass, so I'm going to need her involvement here.
