Could be but Jensen did say he would finish the film. Who knows, only THR is reporting a cast change.

I haven't seen any mention about Rust at all other than that one article.

There is still a possibility TW could end up on Prime. Jensen is making a big push to save the series.

Right now the writers strike has put everything on hold. Depending on how long it lasts (100 days last time) will determine what shows will go forward. It would be very difficult for Amazon to obtain the rights to TW from the WB without any promises of cast and crew availability much less what WB will ask in return. I think that's why Nextstar has been acquiring overseas series from a few years ago.

So it does look like they are looking into Alec's claim the gun went off with out having pulled the trigger. Forensics apparently indicated that might have been the case. Still doesn't explain the live round.

I would be surprised if they used any real guns on the set again.

The Winchesters, Kung Fu and Walker Independence will start airing reruns on HBO Max starting in April.

With the success of Walker I don't think fans of Jared or Sam are sweating a potential reboot. If it happens it happens if it doesn't moving on.

I guess Jared would want to be involved but as he said in Atlanta only for a very limited series. That would give Jensen the opportunity to launch a true reboot (if that's what he wants). I think that would have a better chance of success than another spinoff attempt.

I wouldn't mind a series of just Dean multiverse hopping to hunt monsters. The first episode includes Sam and at the end Sam decides he really wants out of hunting but makes Dean promise to call if he really needs help. That way Jared continues with his projects but can dip his toe occasionally and Jensen gets to continue Dean's story as long as he wants.

Wow what a slap in the face to Supernatural. I guess that bridge is burned forever. No reboot now.

Wow! Do you think Jensen would develop an entire series, sell it as the epic love story of John and Mary, put together a group of young actors tell them this is your show, parade them around as the stars and convince Robbie to go along with it in order to rewrite the finale of Supernatural just to please Dean fans and stroke his own ego?

So a Superhero gamer project? Apparently highly anticipated.
