  1. From the previews I saw on Thursday, I am concerned that this will be anticlimactic, especially in light of the cancellation fingers are crossed that I'm wrong Ok. Never mind. I was so wrong.
  2. Is it sad that I could hear and understand what Chilton was saying better than some of Hannibal's dialogue? Especially hard at the beginning of the episode. I found Dolarhyde to be less gentle with Reba in this version I wonder if it will play out the same. Certainly it would be kind of weird for the dragon to return to Will's place, but that would be a return to canon
  3. I was amused at Cat's comment to Alex about doing Bollywood.
  4. I wonder if Megz was coming down with something. There were comments about staying healthy n
  5. I thought that Jim's dance suffered from the lighting and the background. Too busy and distracting. This week generally was a big improvement . I liked more than 2 routines. Not a fan of Derek. Nothing against him but he doesn't stand out to me at all. Babi's makeup was kind of scary up close
  6. I like her too, but I am still watching. Love that show
  7. I have to say that, for me, nothing beats the cheerleader routine from season 3 for tacky
  8. I think that in the book, he used his grandmother's dentures in part to disguise his bite marks. I kind of remember him picking up the teeth in the tattoo place so they may be a dragon pattern, although they don't look especially dragon like to me. In the book, didn't Hannibal send the dragon after Will and his family? It seemed to me that this time he was basically aiming the dragon only at Will's wife and kid
  9. I sometimes found the sound a bit quiet or muffled and I had trouble picking up some dialogue.
  10. I liked Jim. I think Nigel's personality comment was off base. He seems like a really nice, friendly, humble, quiet kid Likeable And he can dance
  11. I think they cut out too much from the books and movies which would have tied things like the tiger, and Reba etc together. Knowing the whole backstory, I expected these things, but if I hadn't, it would have been really random. Still not loving the Dolarhyde/ Reba dynamic. No chemistry? Not sure
  12. Didn't someone get broken ribs from a lift? Possibly Jessica, Will's partner? I may be imagining that. My kid skated pairs when he was a kid, and I've seen some nasty accidents. It isn't something to fool with, especially without training. Maybe dance isn't as potentially catastrophic, but I bet it is
  13. Dave Scott said that Asaf argued about everything and was not a treat to work with. He was thankful that he wasn't stuck with him basically and sympathized with those who were. He felt really sorry for Kate who was stuck with him more than once. He would have preferred Derek to go home over Marissa. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL05AE23BA68DFEF18
  14. Dave Scott had a few words to say on Afterbuzz this week regarding Asaf's attitude and argumentativeness. I tried to link but paste isn't working for me right now for some reason.
  15. I liked more than 2 dances this week. I think this was the first time. Voting would be hard and get harder. It was also really nice to see some new choreographers and some cool choreography.
  16. I'm not sure I like this take on Dolorhyde's love interest. I think she's not meek enough. The sweet meekness of the character in the movie was what broke through his reserve and madness, briefly, I always thought, along with her acceptance of his physical scar I liked Rutina in True Blood for the couple of seasons that I watched it. Just not sure of this interpretation. Maybe next week it will win me over..
  17. I thought it was real. It made sense anyway. As much as anything does in this particular world.
  18. I posted about this in the Media thread but I think it would be good here too. Spencer Liff was on Afterbuzz. He was very candid about Asaf and other things. Basically he said that the season will suck as long as there are people dragging others down. The judges comments are made at dress rehearsal mostly. Sometimes a piece it made up for 2 dancers and then another one is thrown in kind of last minute...I think that was mostly speculation on his part, especially regarding the Stacey Tookey number. Worth a listen. Travis was being really tactful about Asaf. Spencer said it was the first time he lost it and yelled at a dancer during that week with Kate, Neptune and Asaf. He won't be back for the rest of the season and so he laid it all out there.
  19. I just watched this week's Afterbuzz. Spencer Liff was the guest. He was VERY honest. Worth a listen, especially about Asaf
  20. For a brief, shining moment, I thought Pauler was going to get away with the "package" comment. But no... Otoh, I was chuckling at home, because I am emotionally a 12 year old
  21. Redemption arc. I think they made a mistake getting rid of Burim instead of Asaf, but I knew when they basically said you sucked but you tried and patted him on the head, that it was all over for anyone else. Poo I would have preferred it if Hayley and what's his name ( I know that's not it but I want to call him Jarvis) had stopped the robot deal a bit sooner. Actually, quite a bit sooner.
  22. Was that a pregnant \Alanna that Hannibal was drawing while talking to her ? Oh - and then there was the stag head on Chilton (or Alanna's) desk. I chuckled
  23. Wade...I would have loved to see a show of all Wade's numbers. And several of Mia's as well. I miss Mary. Not so much the screaming, but the bubbliness and the ballroom knowledge, although there's precious little of that any more. Is Heidi not dancing any more? I like Katherine and I thought she did a great job but they didn't even mention that it was Heidi in the original dance. I guess I'll just have to you tube my own anniversary special.
  24. Damn - I didn't know it was on here. Oh well. I'll try to catch it today. Sounds like a good one
