The PCPD is just too incompetent to even discuss, although I enjoyed Anna and the Commissioner drinking in her office.

Oh wow! It's like you were there with me when my mom was in the hospital. The only difference was her room was not right off main receiving where everyone seems to come in and go straight to ER. Most recovery rooms or hospital rooms I saw 6 months ago were a little more removed from all that, unless family needed to yell at doctors because a loved one was NOT RECOVERING FAST ENOUGH!!!Have you ever been a patient in a hospital? It's truly the worst place to recover, what with alarms going off at all hours; the vitals being taken at 1 a.m., 3 a.m., and 5 a.m.; the interns making rounds at 6 a.m., and five well-meaning but useless hospital employees coming in during the day to make sure housekeeping is doing a good job.
People yelling is the least of the noise.

So I just want to make sure this is clear. If you are on the barge, do not, I repeat, DO NOT LEAVE! Remain calm and enjoy your lowered blood pressure. There is absolutely no reason to disembark. Maybe ever. I will be one of the unfortunate souls to take one for the team.
I mean, how can you even begin to comment on today? Just when you think you've hit rock bottom, you keep sliding further and further down into utter tripe, Show.
Morgan is beyond annoying, and Michael is becoming a close runner up. But TJ takes first prize in an absolute landslide. Molly needs to dump his ass. I applaud her for choosing her college orientation over the wedding.
I really liked VA today though. She was great.
To show you how bad I think GH has become, I'm now watching "Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders : Making the Team" and switching over to GH during commercials only (and I don't think I lose much). At least on that show the villains are consistent and everyone knows them (only they don't know when they'll strike!).

I am here for a Kate-Theresa-Nicole storyline where they are trying to get and then running a business. Those are three personalities that should be able to bounce off of each other for a good long time and provide a triangulation of shifting alliances. Good times could be had.!!
I would love to see this! I would love to see them become the most successful business in Salem. Sure, they'd have these issues, and will always team up 2 on 1 when differing opinions surface, but this is an amazing opportunity to show 3 women who have some business experience (at least 2 of them) running a company, versus some fresh out of high school, no experience twit (coughVictoria Newmancough)
This is why this will never happen. Can't have three smart, successful women making the menfolk of the town look like buffoons.

In addition to what everyone else has said today this is what I got:
- The new opening where we have the foursome of Lulu, Valerie, Dante and Dillon.
- TJ gloriously singing Sonny's praises in such a fashion - the kid was AWESTRUCK. His brain damage was in full on display mode today
- I liked Maxie's earrings
- AJ/Avery is the best thing on this show
- Sloan is slime
- FH deserves better
- Julian needs to be something besides guilty - let him run his newspaper from an office, not from his laptop (or however it's being done)
- Sabrina's outfit bugged. She looked good but makeup and costumes had her looking like a middle aged flamenco dancer. Even with the pregnancy she should look younger and fresh - a cross between Maxie and Lulu.
- letting AJ/Avery have the last ' word' - smartest move of the day
Tomorrow - Tracey returns! Dante loses all objectivity and becomes Sonny's son (ugh)!

I thought Lucas told Carly days ago, when she first told him the wedding date, that he would be unable to attend because he had to work that day. He was the second person who was not going to be there - Michael was the first (at the time).How was Lucas not at the wedding? Craziness. I will watch yesterday's episode solely to see the cheesiness of Sonny getting shot for the billionth time.
And since Sonny will soon be rushed to GH I'm sure Carly will be glad Lucas and the brilliant doctor Patrick Drake (nod to Sake614) will be on duty to take care of him when he arrives.

I suspect that a spumor is true, and that the Mr. Big behind T.J.'s kidnapping, the hijacks, etc. is
Ric. It's random, but it's also typical Ric, frankly. He has always been obsessed with everything Sonny had. That is a Ric The Schemer story I would actually be interested in, as opposed to the sub-DOOL level capers of "Ric gets Jason a fake wife" and "Ric marries Crazy Nina who he has never met before." Ric is a great bad guy - and could've been an interesting reformed guy had Ron given him the chance - but he needs a better caliber of bad than what Ron gave him.

I know that John and Marlene (Marlena?) are a signature Days couple but watching them today made me go "EWWW!" John was so manipulative in canceling Marlenea's early appointments so they could spend more time in bed? Maybe it's DH but I'm just not feeling the romantic/sexual vibe. I appreciated Marlena getting angry at his presumptiveness and I liked her saying she didn't feel the need to get married again; living in sin was fine with her. I did think the provisional marriage was an interesting idea and one I hope John messes up royally in the coming month.
To somewhat restate something that was said above, why is it that the ISA guys are such Neanderthals? John today, Steve when reappearing in Salem, and Bo (we think, we've only seen him face down recently). Is this the 80s? Or, even worse, the 60s and Mad Men rules? It's just seemed pretty the obvious these last few days...

Without Sonny or Sami, Will is going to be really hard to watch. I mean, he already was, but he needed those two for me not to fast-forward his scenes.
Yeah. Will is basically going to be "Blather - Wince - Repeat"
He and Abigail can be President and Vice President of that club.

This bugs me to end and I can't wait to complain about it:
WHY, on any show, does the person who has a secret on the other feel they MUST reveal said secret when in a difficult or dangerous situation? Shut up Aiden! Don't give up your leverage over Clyde! Shut up! Shutupshutupshutup!!!!
(that's right up with walking into a darkened room and NEVER turning on a light. UGH)
PS - at least we know he's not a trained assassin or ninja warrior.

Just want to reiterate what so many have said here re. Theresa - STOP planning your life around Brady or any other guy and be your awesome self (take note, writers). She should be using her family to help her be independent and smart and confident and ignore the guys; make them BEG her to look at them, to be with them, to want them. I'm tired of watching her and Nicole and Eve (to that extent) fall all over the guys and be pooped on constantly and beg for acceptance and love. Be Kate in the confidence and "I don't give a shit about these guys" department. I would also love to see some 21st century stories for the women (besides Jenn who's going to stand up to the Salem Donald Trump).
So after today does this mean that Xander and Serena are still around? Could we get each of them some clothes that fit? Xander needs a shirt and Serena needs dresses that are at least one size larger.
And kudos to Kate for finally getting a clue about Clyde. Although this story is traveling at the speed of light, and I'm sure the body count in Salem will soon rise because of it, I'm ready for Clyde to be gone. He really is Stephano light.
PS - sign me up as another member of the "I like Chad" club. However, I'm rejoicing in our second consecutive day of no weepy/whiny Abby.

I was actually proud of Ben today when he actually questioned Abby's alleged purity and awesomeness and then he questioned if he's really the father and he had no problem believing Abby could conceal the real paternity.

YES!! It seems like Ben got the Salem brain today and actually took it for a little drive. He was able to put together Abigail being 8 weeks pregnant and she and Chad having sex 8 weeks ago - it takes some people years to reach that conclusion. Also, he wasn't immediately ignoring said brain's knowledge and power by listening to dear daddy's excuses, etc. Hang onto to that brain, Ben, and ride it all the way out of town immediately - don't look back!

If only the 50th anniversary wasn't until November, we could have a giant bomb go off in Horton Square and get rid of Serena, Xander, Clyde, Ben (Marlena and Kate could be seriously wounded). Outside of Caroline getting headaches around Teresa and Serena (Caroline must have a built in BS detector) I was again underwhelmed and felt lIke I saw little new.
It was nice to see Kate start to wonder about Clyde.

Coming to you from the shallow corner of the room I must give kudos to the hair and clothing departments for matching Kate's highlights (lowlights? Bluelights?) with her clothing. I know she's had them for a while but they really seem more prominent with certain clothes.
That's all I got. Everything else was either a flashback, a rerun, or boring.

The way everyone keeps singing Abigail's praises and virtues, maybe she's not carrying either a DiMera or a Weston. Maybe this was an immaculate conception (after all, Marlena was possessed and Eric was a priest).

I'm writing this as I'm sitting in the corner at my table for one (facing the wall) BUT I'm all for Chad being the father of Abigail's baby, and the sooner everyone knows the sooner the two of them can get together. Abby can drop Ben (who can either join daddy in dealing drugs or slink out of town), the town can sneer/scorn at the idea of the pairing and the Horton-Dimera baby and the world can go to war around them. Abby will have to contend with everyone telling her how horrible Chad is because he's a Dimera (even though she's seen otherwise) and Chad will have to contend with everyone reminding him of what Dimera he is in Abby's line of conquests.
And Stephano will retire to Ireland and distill Jamison while enduring the evil eye of Caroline Brady for sullying the Irish countryside.
My that wallpaper pattern is interesting.

Throughout the various bizarro plots and Presidential news conference the only thing I could think of was WHO pissed off makeup? Anyone who had the least bit of a tan was orange and flat - no contours, no shading or highlighting. Hope and Victor appeared to be the worst but anyone sporting a faux-tan seemed to be a victim. Was it bring your child to work day in the hair and makeup department?

So after 3-5 days of relative (for this show/these actors) or understated acting tomorrow we're back to those we don't care about in stories that shouldn't exist. While I wasn't watching when Jake was hit/Luke takes off (I came back shortly after) I feel like, barring the Frank Smith stuff, the scenes have been well done. I realize there are continuity issues but for the sheer pleasure of watching some outstanding acting between people who seem to enjoy being in scenes together I've really enjoyed the last few days. I could've done without Lante and Valerie and Carly and Sonny (shirtless? Seriously? ) but everything L3 and Liz (L4) has been wonderful
Then I saw what was "coming up next" and said "why bother". All my enthusiasm and joy was sucked out by those we don't care about. Oh well....

I don't understand why Serena is still here. She and Xander were exposed like two weeks ago but they're still in Salem sucking up all the oxygen.
Another day, another Serena sighting. I agree with LeftPhalange, WHY is she still on the screen? She should've left Salem after the police stopped questioning her. Correction - she should've left running and not looked back.
