For new girls, the deadline is May 1. For Vets, it was in February.

I know there was a start to this but do we know who is NOT returning?  Is anyone who is currently in their 4th/5th year returning?  I have a few faves I'm praying return for at least one more year.

  2. WOW - GH must've been canceled recently because Carly just grew a backbone and stood up to Sonny!  She forgave him the sleeping with Slutty Nell but not for lyIng about it.  Now just stick to that.

I was really waiting for Sonny to say "but we were on a breaaaaaaakkkkkk!"

"Is one of the Quartermaines trying to blackmail you?  'Cause they're good at that."  Wow, Carly.  Wow.  And, shut up.  I hate her, so hard.

PREACH!  Which is also why I can't be a Sonny fan. The sense of superiority is stunning.

As to the Friz fuck that's about to happen  - I'll be on the barge, reminiscing with others about the lost art of real romance in daytime soaps and GH in particular.

    * least Franco's hospital stay seemed to require that someone  wash his hair. Probably couldn't find the head injuries thru all the grease.

The whole time Anna was going through hypnosis she made the worst faces. I couldn't decide if she was constipated, holding in a massive fart, or so mad that the writers were making her go thru this that she contemplating massive crimes of insanity.

Speaking of BFF Nathan and Griffin, why is there not allowed to be ANY friction between them?

Because friction would create sparks and between the grease in Griffin's hair and the oil on Nathan's body they'd spontaneously combust and the entire set would go up in flames.

*small voice*   I like the actor playing Valentin.  And I liked the scenes at Wyndemere.  Nice to see so many major players in the same location.

I've decided that, after today's episode, I want the illegitimate Cassadine siblings to join forces.  I want to see Alexis' bad self. She's married a mobster and is a Cassadine - embrace the dark side.  She and Valentin can terrorize Port Charles together.

Anything's better than "I may have ordered the bomb but I didn't PUT it in the car" Corintos.

. Additionally, serial killer Franco has been matching himself with several of the main ladies on the show, and now he's guilting Liz in public that their relationship hasn't escalated to sex yet. Instead of answering him, Liz should just buy one of Crimson's most ridiculous sex toys and gift it to Franco, suggesting what he can do to himself.

I'd buy him a box of latex gloves and tell him to go at it. Or, since the hospital has reopened, show him where they are stored.

  8. I thought this episode was kinda blah and choppy overall for the finale.  Cutting Amy and Kendall, then coming back to the others to say "you're all winners" did seem kinda cruel, especially (as was previously said) it didn't give the other girls a chance to say goodbye.

There was no team photo and yet we got to see the opening of the "Ford STAR Center, which will be a worldwide phenomenon" seemed kinda gross.  Seeing Jerry Jones makes my skin crawl.

Simone has a concussion, All-Star Emma shows up without skipping a beat and we still spend much of our first game showing the fans in the crowd, many waving their CMT placards.  It would be nice to actually see entire dance routines with the girls vs. milliseconds of routines over enthusiastic fans.

Maybe because I knew the outcome but it thought this episode, overall, was very anti-climatic and dull.

...but I'm not a good judge of dance ability. Every time I like a random TCCs dancing, I read the comments on here from actual dancers and usually the comments are about how that TCC is a horrible dancer, lol. And then I'm like ? and I shuffle away quietly. ☺️

I'm with you - like who you like!  Think of us as the audience the girls are competing to entertain. We may not know dance technique but we know what we like and what entertains us (crab walking aside).

What got me was Sonny nattering on about how he did the right thing and let the police and the courts have their shot, but since they failed, it's his turn.  That essentially gives carte blanche to anyone he's wronged, too, since the police and the courts sure have failed in his case.

Oh, wait.  He's the good mobster, right?  I forget myself.

What I wouldn't give for someone to go after Sonny for what he did to A.J. and destroy him (and Carly), bit by bit.  Hey, MB, that'd give you something to sink your acting chops into!  Are you game?

    SPOILER ALERT!!!

Be careful what you wish for.  Per my TVGUIDE, on Friday "Sonny WORRIES he has done something WRONG" (alphabetizing is mine).  Here comes his next Emmy.

I was napping on the couch and it was Scotty's jingle that woke me up. Seriously I didn't know if it was a bad dream or what, very weird.  "Better Call Saul" he is not!

Have they formally cancelled GH, because today (the parts I did watch) were so bad and I just got the feeling like the end is really near this time, or like others maybe the end is finally just near for me (watched on and off since late '80s)

I thought he was trying to channel "Hamilton" - "I'm not throwing away my shot".   Not to mention " Scott Baldwin. My name is Scott Baldwin. And even though I often get confused, I'll defend you and I'll win" (lame, I know)

i kept thinking it was too bad GH wasn't in NYC; think of the Broadway - inspired scenes we'd get.

Melissa and Megan looked so heavy at the SG audition that I can't believe Kitty didn't speak up.  The double standard when it comes to those two is really starting to annoy me.  Jenn K. looked a bit soft/large in some shots, and so did Danielle, but the aren't as bad as Melissa and Megan.  Megan even looked heavy at cameos - it's such a joke how they made Chelsea and co. use last year's photos that one year and gave Megan and Melissa a pass this year.

This episode seemed to do NO favors to any of the cheerleaders. I thought that, during one of their practices, many of them seemed soft and/or large. Not sure if it was the combination of camera angle and shorts but it was not flattering.  Along with some of the ones mentioned I thought Holly looked soft, maybe even with a belly over the top of her shorts, which didn't make sense since she has little body fat.

Also, during a panning shot of the rookie candidates, I thought there were two very disctinct kinds if girls; those who were blonde and/or  statuesque and everyone else.  It seemed like their hair styles/colors had a lot of highlights that almost looked gray or silver and the girls just had a harder look; not the DCC look Charlotte is always talking about.

And I still believe you can be camera ready and not have to wear layers of eyeshadows and false lashes.  At least this episode is relatively free of product placements.  I'm already cringing about next week's special guest.

And if a transatlantic flight is completely booked, the air stewards will usually give you a hard time for "switching seats" with others, Kevin.

But he used his "junior Jedi" mind tricks on them also!  (his reasoning was the best part of this episode).  Tracy (JE) was a close second.

  14. Claire needs to escape all the 'ridiculous' adults trying to keep her sale so she can find a Hotspot, take a selfie and be the first (or the most recent) victim of the Three Stooges.  Or, in a "Randsome of Red Chief" fashion, is kidnapped and held captive until all three can no longer stand to listen to "but my public is waiting for me to post" and either releases her or kills her.

Where is Ben when we need him?

Closing the hospital on a show called General Hospital. Awesome.

As far as I'm concerned the show could've ended yesterday as Liz was being wheeled out of a darkened hospital set. No hospital, no soap.

Makes sense to me. This soap isn't named "Port Charles" - that ship sailed in the last millennia.

Turn out the lights - everyone goes home (and we are all put out of our misery. )

  16. Just a few random comments/ thoughts because everyone has been so thorough on this episode:

    * CMT has improved its presentation with the side-by-side of the TCCs dancing

    * I thought Kelli's dress at the end was an eye test or a hypnotist's trick - it was practically strobing on my TV (and it made her double Ds look larger)

    * I realize that the TCCs are told to be camera ready at all times but they could've toned down the makeup during Jay's segment just a little. Luckily they've discovered sweat-proof mascara and eyeshadow but please (Allie) tone it down.  I was hoping Jay would've made them wash their faces before they started.

    * having said that the segment on the Holly/Allie friendship was cute and probably necessary since so many people knew they were friends in real life.

    * after listening to Cersten's segment I figure she's a one and done because med school is looming

    * I want Judy to grow a spine, especially during those "meetings in my office". She and Kelli know what's coming - they need to have that conversation and Judy needs to feel comfortable stating her view. If her opinion is different from Kelli they need to work that out before the girls are called in.  Judy can give very valuable advice, it shouldn't be an afterthought.

    * one last add - I've become a Kelsey fan this year.  Watching her video clips, she seems like s very sincere and fun person. I don't like the comparison to Ashley Paige; in my opinion the latter never listened to what Kelli and Judy told her, always had the canned "but I was a Pro Bowl cheerleader" response and continued to dance like she had a stick up her butt. She could never relax and perform in the DCC style.  Kelsey is just fun, listens to the critiques and danced her way onto the team.

  17. The one thing I've noticed this season is that Kelli is getting a 'softer' edit, if you will, although that can change when she has to start cutting dancers.

What I really liked was watching Kelli's spontaneous reaction to seeing Jinelle in training camp. She seemed genuine happy to see her and went over to hug her. Between that and her comments to Kelly Q., maybe Kelli is softening or getting the CMT favorable edit.

That's exactly what I was thinking haha! Stay at the Gaylord Texan and get a tour bus full of persnickety critical DCC SUPERFANS!

I say we all sign up to audition, show up in nude colored outfits (heavily bedazzled), and have our 90 seconds of fame. We do our best to show up in the circus music section; routines should include at least one rolling around on the floor, twerking, and some shimmying.  We could have orange streaks from our self tanner and really teased hair. For those who want to take it seriously, points to making it to semis.  And we'll all put on "Previously TV" t-shirts while waiting to see if our numbers are posted!

6)... Same goes for Emily, except I do get where she photographs strangely with her huge Disney Princess eyes. Seriously get her a red wig and send her to Disney.

In the name of all that's holy I beg you, NO to the red wig!!! We redheads only have one Disney princess - Ariel - and don't need Emily as another. Why not a brunette wig and she can be Belle or Jasmine or Snow White or Rapunzel?  Or let her go with her dark blonde / brown hair and she could be Bambi.

I also really hate the hypocrisy of everyone, the beatification of Duke Lavery who was running Sonny's business. Duke was awesome, and Duke was so great! Duke was a fucking mobster who put out a hit on the woman trying to take him down, and then wanted to pay her son's way into college to absolve himself from his sins.

Julian is a complete and utter scumbag, but that became a witch hunt with both Anna and now Jordan and how she's blaming him for her choices. You chose a career in law enforcement, with the DEA. There was a good chance you would have to do undercover work, pretend you're something you're not. Of course it was going to put a strain on every single relationship there was.

Why can't people just take responsibility for their own choices?.

I'll never tire of seeing Scorpio's smiling mug.

PREACH!!  I've never gotten over Duke going over to the dark side and apparently there are only a few of us who still remember (no one in Port Charles, unfortunately). When will we see the blinding light that wakes up everyone from this coma they're in so they can see what really happened and the choices Duke made?  I know, two days after GH's cancellation.

Why can't people just take responsibility for their own choices?. - because reasons/Helena/lazy ass writing/commercials.

    Scorpio = ❤️❤️❤️

Oh and the girl from North Carolina whose college dance team won the DCC contest is freaking adorable too. Charlotte's snide comment about "there's something for everyone, i guess"made me throw my shoe at the tv. She is such a bitch.

I thought Charlotte got a lot more screen time in the first episode than in the past. Seems like she is "imposing her will" more in making the team what she wants with the girls she wants. Her comments were definitely more pointed than we've previously heard this early in the process.

I thought Yuko danced very well and she seemed to impress the judges.

I did not think the pee on the floor segment was necessary and somehow seems very CMT. Just my opinion.  (Added to explain - it seems like something that'd be included on a "guy channel". It goes with jokes about bodily functions and crude laughter. Again - JMO)

I hate how much I enjoy Kiki and Dillon. This show will either A) never put them together properly, or B) take three years to get them together, and either way I get screwed.

Or C) take three years to put them together but get canceled in 2.75 years so it will never happen onscreen.
