  1. The thing is, I remember when "Dan's funeral" happened and so many people were saying that it would not have worked with a less dumb group of people. So I'm wondering if it's possible to give credit where credit is due or is it easier to just blame it on the stupidity on the rest of the houseguests?

  2.

I don't think Maggie was in the very top tier of BB players (in many ways she struck me as being along the lines of Hayden in BB12 in that she lucked on to an inordinately loyal alliance - alliances rarely stay quite as loyal as the Friendship and the Brigade) but I think that she did a better job in her season than Derrick has so far in his, because the major difference between the two (so far) is that production has been on Derrick's side almost all season long while production was working AGAINST Maggie all during her season.

I wouldn't put Maggie and Hayden on the same level at all. Enzo and Lane were loved by the house and no one ever had any gripes with them or suggested voting them out. Maggie, on the other hand, was dealing with very volatile players in Ivette, April and Jen. Maggie had not only the task of fostering tension between the alliances but she had to quell tensions within her own alliance. April and Ivette absolutely could not stand each other but Maggie always made sure to remind them that they must stand united in getting rid of "the evil sovereign six." April, Ivette and Beau had moments of hanging out alone with Janelle and really liking her and as soon as they expressed that sentiment, there Maggine came in to remind that she was the evil harlot who got rid of Cappie from the game. Maggie wasn't dubbed Maggie Koresh by the TWoPers for nothing, and while I thought she was a deplorable person, I cannot agree that she is on the same level of Hayden. I actually would put her in the top tier of this show's winners. Like you said, she never fell for productions' machinations and she always kept her eyes on the prize.

ETA: There's a reason why James was so afraid of her and pegged her as a cop. She was like an automaton. She never let emtions get in the way and was solely focused on eliminating those who were in her way towards the grand prize.

Wasn't James Rhine convinced Maggie was really a cop?

Yes, which is another reason why I'm always reminded of Maggie when I watch Derrick.

The only thing is I could see why Michelle was the way she was the whole house treated her like crap except for Jeff & Jordan and Russell at times. Christine has been treated pretty well by everyone. I guess we'll know if Christine ends up getting into porn.

Yes, but Big Brother isn't real life. In the real world, Michelle has a loving, supported husband and was pretty accomplished in her career as a scientist. Christine, on the other hand, is a barista (I'm not knocking them that profession at all but it's not something most people are striving to make into a career) and she's clearly insecure evidenced by how much she attacks other people's looks. I could easily see her falling into porn to prove how worthy she is looks-wise.

  4. The fact that Derrick's win is becoming just as inevitable as Maggie's win makes me want to cry.

It's funny you mention Maggie because that's exactly whose game I'm reminded of whenever I see Derrick in action. I really, really disliked Maggie but as the trite saying goes: "don't hate the player, hate the game" and I thought she was wholly deserving of the win. Likewise, I think Derrick deserves to win this season because, unlike Maggie who controlled only her core alliance, he has this whole house snowed. Would I love someone to rise up and finally challenge his dominance? Yes, but what worries me is that if he gets evicted, we'll end up with Cody as the winner. I think that guy is more useless than even Victoria. I can't stand how he's constantly going on about how he's gonna call someone out and yet when the time comes, he's sitting back scratching his balls as per usual.

Christine really is the worst of the bunch, though. She's determined to be Britney, with a side of Michelle. I don't have a whole lot of hope for that marriage, if she goes through the same famewhore ego trip Michelle did.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least bit. I got a very Michelle vibe from her when, in one of her pre-interviews, she said she would love to move to L.A. afte the show to pursue some "show-biz related opportunities." I could totally see her dumping her husband and appearing in porn like Michelle did.

  5. Yes, if it would motivate some of the slackers.

I don't know. McCrae couldn't even be bothered to change his underwear, let alone take a shower, for days on end. Can you imagine how rank his unitard would smell by the end of the week? The producers would probably just give him new clothes for getting out of bed.

My only lingering concern is when it seems that unattractiveness is a compounding factor for hate or derision.

Christine only hates on people on the basis of looks. I find it laughable how she's constantly tearing down Amber and Brittany's looks when they are so clearly more attractive than she. She's just a really hateful bitch and I'm guessing it stems from insecurity.

I suspect that Christine hasn't gotten much male attention in life, because, well, she just isn't the prettiest girl in the world. And so she may not even know how to process any male attention.

To hear her tell it, she's so hot that she's able to speed around town and talk her way out of parking tickets because she's just that hot. I think all her shit talking comes from malice, plain and simple.

  7. Caleb fascinates me also. He not only has a crush on Amber, who is clearly biracial, but I've seen him cuddle with Frankie many times and I just saw a video of him laughing while Frankie attempted to open his zipper to get a peek at his penis. That damning tweet that was uncovered weeks ago revealed him to have prejudices againsts blacks and gays but he's not at all like that in the house. Who is the real Caleb?!
