I encountered a similar issue with Hulu + Live; they sent me channels based on the location of my internet address. My internet provider at the time did not provide a static IP address; so often the IP address would shift to Fairfield County, and I'd get the NYC channels.
After many hours on the phone with a Hulu engineer -- a lovely, patient, and determined man -- we agreed that my best option was to drop Hulu. YouTube TV was the answer, as you manually enter the ZIP code for your area.
I know Roku is a device (which I've used) and Hulu is an app, so they are different things, but they may use the same information, eg your IP address, to provide services.
Just dropping this all here in case it's useful, should you try dealing with Roku. Wishing you luck, I know it's a pain in the butt to get channels (for me, it was basically the traffic and weather reports) that are useless to you.

Thank you for the clarification, and that's interesting -- at least I find it interesting, for lack of a better word, for TCM to have the same glitch happen a couple of times within a month or so in a prime slot when I don't recall this occurring much at all in the past. Maybe I just watch the wrong stuff and it's been happening all along.
Specific movies (Little Shop of Horrors, for example) are regularly not available to me on TCM, I believe because I don't get the channel from a traditional cable outlet, so I was beginning to think this might be more of the same. (At least in those cases, the circle/line symbol shows on the schedule so we know the score.) Thank you for setting me straight!

I wonder how/why this happens -- I mean, if TCM doesn't have the rights to show something, presumably they'd ask the guest programmer to select something else, wouldn't they?
I get TCM via YouTubeTV, and a handful of films have the not available sign shows on my schedule (but there was no such notation in the Forty Guns slot). Did viewers who get TCM through a cable system get to see the flick?
Does Spielberg, as one of the three quasi-saviors of TCM, have a reaction to one of his personal film choices being scrubbed? (I'd pitch a fit, FWIW.)
I don't have answers, don't exepect anyone else to have them, just ranting away, I guess. Thank you, and stepping gingerly off the soapbox.

My aunt sent me one called Phrazle the a few days ago but I couldn't get into it. The crosswords have the potential to help me on J! at least. Not so much the word games, I think.

Xfinity, my internet (only) provider, threw in Peacock at no charge for 2 years expiring sometime in 2025. I'm sure that perk will be dropped if/when this merger goes through. But much as I love my guilty Peacock pleasures, I don't see myself paying for them. If this merger goes through, my evil half kind of hopes the resulting service falls flat on its face.

If you live in a valley -- like I do -- you can do all kinds of things with an antenna and still not get any OTA channels. (I'm sure other geographic factors can affect reception, but that's my particular circumstance.)

I signed up for the 3 months at 3.99 deal at the end of November and marked Feb 19 on my calendar to unsubscribe. Mid-January P+ sent an email notifying me I'd be charged 11.99 on Jan 22 -- cutting me off a month early, in fact. At least I got to watch all of the Evil they had, which was my primary motive in subscribing. Still, bad taste in my mouth regarding P+ -- it's like everyone is following Netflix's lead and tightening things up and starting to charge up the wazoo.

The higher channel number may be a high definition version.

He was such a good host of CBS Sunday Morning -- definitely a worthy successor to Charles Kuralt.
I enjoyed him so much wherever I found him -- Sunday Morning, the weekday morning CBS show for some years with Paula Zahn and Harry Smith*, or on the radio.
*They played at least one holiday concert on the show: Charles on piano, Paula on cello, and Harry with tuba, I believe. (ETA: And Mark McEwen on triangle, IIRC.) Weird but lovely.

But then they started showing the Spencer Tracy version. I think this must be a Canada issue -- the TCM online schedule also indicates the 1991 version. I don't have any particular need to see either version, but I thought it interesting to note.
We (Connecticut) definitely got the Steve Martin Father of the Bride last night, so maybe a permission-type thing with international markets is in play. I thought they were doing a Diane Keaton featurette. (Ms Meyers makes me twitchy, so had I known, I'd have flipped through even faster!)

So if you’re willing to put in some time up front, you can get a lineup of the stuff you’re most likely to watch. I set it up with my locals, then the “cable” channels I watch the most, then maybe let the rest default to alphabetical order? Not really sure now. I just use the search function for anything that’s not at the top of my list.
We set up the channels on YTTV and it really helps to ease navigation and facilitate flipping. It takes 5-10 minutes, and then you're good to go. I especially like that, since I put channels I'll never watch at the very bottom of the list, I don't have to see them if I do have to flip through the channels. Also -- when you access the guide/channel page, it shows the channnels you've visited recently or often across the top, so you can use that as a shortcut too.

Guiding Light had this energy and warmth especially during the Pam Long and Nancy Curlee days. You felt invited and part of the family.
I think both GL and ATWT were set in the midwest, but I agree about the different tones in the writing. The Bauer kitchen (and BBQ!) were warm and inviting, but the Hughes house was like the living room kids weren't allowed to enter. My memory of ATWT may not represent the show well, though, because I mostly recall things about it from when I was very young, since it was on during school hours.

I'm just starting 1993 and I'm struggling with a lot of the storylines other than Blake and Ross. I read 1993 and 1994 aren't very good.
-I hate baby storylines, (and I hate Nadine), so the stuff with Nadine pretending to be pregnant isn't of much interest. I'm looking forward to Billy dumping her though.
I thought Bridget was a hoot and really enjoyed Melissa Hayden's work, so found the fake baby storyline amusing at least -- but I like crazy/silly stories, oft-married characters, etc. The clone storyline and twins with different fathers, for example, are a bridge too far for me, but I'll go about 80% of the way down that road and enjoy the trip.

I'd call ATWT a sister soap to GL in that they were both Procter & Gamble soaps. A lot of the same themes, I think some writers crossed back and forth -- that is, changed jobs, didn't write for GL one week, ATWT the next -- but there was no relationship between GL in Springfield and ATWT in Oakdale. At least as far as I recall -- my mom watched both shows forever, so I did osmosis -- no characters crossed over or visited, like I believe Y&R and B&B have done.
I'd call ATWT about as well written as GL, with many remarkable/ oustanding characters like Dr. John Dixon, James Stenbeck, Lucinda Walsh, and of course Lisa Miller Hughes Eldridge Shea Colman McColl Mitchell Grimaldi Chedwyn.
They also had a good eye for talent, casting young Meg Ryan, Julianne Moore, James Earl Jones, Marisa Tomei, and I'm sure others who went on to bigger things. Potential bonus: no cloning storylines.
