  1. Baby Felicity is beautiful. To add to the name collections, a set of triplets in my daughter's class were named Mercedes, Lexus and Porsche. Congratulations Jinger and Jeremy
  2. bigskygirl, I have a Samsung washing purchased a few years back at Lowes. Front loader with hot, warm and cold wash temps. It has 6 or so wash choices. We really like it. I use ERA liquid. It is for HE machines like the Samsung.
  3. Canned veg story - somewhat We were visiting an elderly relative and enjoying a nice chocolate cake. Dear lady then told us to improve the nutrition of the cake, she used the liquid drained from a can of peas! I use to love Jello 1-2-3
  4. Like a few other posters have said, take a few hours out of the prayer closet and there is a lot to catch up with. Halloween we decorate in and out with out collection of ceramic pumpkins, old blow mold decorations, and lights. When the kids were little, I would spend a day carving those complicated Pumpkin Masters designs. Now one standard jack o'lantern. Our standard hand out is full size Hershey bars. I do keep a supply of plastic spider rings to hand out to older teens and such. Hershey bars are for the little ones. Thanksgiving menu: Turkey, mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, baby carrots, stuffing (no one likes it but me), a green vegetable, the smooth canned cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, and shoo fly pie.
  5. I live in North Texas I used my coworkers as Guinea pigs for cake recipes. Rum cake was the favorite. I still mail a couple of cakes to the office as a holiday treat. Fruitcake is now my specialty. I am liberal with the brandy.
  6. We had a corgi that needed phenobarbital for seizures. Stormy could find the pill hidden in all sorts of treats, peanut butter, cheese, pill pockets. She would manage to eat the treat and spit out the meds. Our local pharmacy compounded liver flavored phenobarb liquid to give with meals. It kept her seizure free until she passed. After few weeks after Stormy died, we adopted Dewey from corgi rescue. He eats very fast, never noticing anything added to dinner or treats.
  7. I learned about Old Bay on fries at the Baltimore airport. The waiter suggested Old Bay on my fries. I am addicted.
  8. It is possible to board a flight in the US with out a government ID. My sister in law arrived at the airport and found she left her driver's license at home. She was pulled aside for additional screening, but was allowed to board the plane.
  9. I live in Texas and have clients in both Arkansas and Louisiana. Many of my clients refer to me as "MIss Rumcake" . It was explained to me as a sign of respect.
