  1. Yay, more scenes of Steffy and Finn saying how much they care for each other with all the passion of dried peel. If you're going to have a stable couple on the show they at least have to be entertaining. Hope for the Future REALLY needs a name change. Time to rebrand! HFTF was introduced by the virginal version of Hope, who full-on ran her line of modern chastity and how it was okay to wait. SHE HAS KIDS NOW. I don't think any of Forresters' customers think she's Virgin Mary Squared? LOL @ SK with his several scenes going TEN TOES TEN TOES like dude, great, you can count. SK does the most out of all his scenes where he thinks he's going crazy, pretty nice to see. Are we really to believe that Forrester only has TWO prominent in-house designers? I mean, I'm sure Zende and RJ are doing fine but that's... the best you can do after Thomas, Forrester? Yikes.
  2. Obvious enough that a blind person could have seen it from another continent. That's all there is to say about the show's cliffhanger regarding Sheila. Lauren Fenmore is a queen. 👑 We didn't even make it 3 mins into today's ep before the words BIRTH MOTHER were uttered. Don't know what's worse: Finn saying that or his wooden acting. I've seen more animated life in china dolls. That whole thing with Steffy's "... someone who she can commit herself to." about Hope directly followed by Finn to Hope's "You're going to look back and be glad it worked out this way." while looking directly at her was not subtle, show. There's literally nothing else going on in these characters' lives other than SHEILA and mints and that makes for such a boring show. Next week has a lot of Luna and RJ? Yeah, count me out.
  3. Finn/TN finally got an acting partner as wooden as he is. The casket! CLEARLY Lauren visited to painfully remind us how much better B&B used to be. Duh. Best part of today: the flashbacks. They were GLORIOUS. The drama! And everybody looked so GOOD. Then flashing back to present and comparing to the show today was... not so good. Sean Kanan > Deacon Sharpe.
  4. God what a boring episode. Deacon, you repeating how much Sheila loved Finn is only making you look as crazy as her. Steffy and Finn reminding viewers every single episode that they love each other is a little... much, no? Especially when they say it with all the passion of a C-SPAN intermission. LOOK! Finn showed a facial expression today other than biting his lips!
  5. After reading elsewhere that Our Great Bradley Bell let Krista Allen go as Taylor because they didn’t have a storyline for Taylor I was… a little stunned. And by a little I mean a lot. I need to rant and put my upset somewhere. How a writer, a very successful wealthy writer at that, claims to have no story for a PSYCHIATRIST character on a show just leaves me stunned. Gobsmacked. It’s the ONE CHARACTER you can have talk to ANY OTHER CHARACTER on the show regardless of their relationship because of the character’s inherit role and function. It’s literally the one character whom the story can use to comment on ANY CHARACTER’s storyline without an angle, without it necessarily seeming like they have an ulterior motive, or like they’re serving any interest including their own. It’s not only the one character, it’s the ONLY character who can perform this function in a story. Which means: Bell, you’re full of it and just using that as an excuse. Ahem. Stepping off my soap box now. No pun intended.
  6. Sure, let's hold a memorial service in the place where Sheila shot at her own son and his wife, why not! Wow, B&B. This has to be the cheapest move Bell-Phillip Television Productions ever made. Were Finn and Steffy always this boring or did they just turn the boring up in 2024? I'm the first one to think Finn's feelings for his BIRTH MOTHER are ridiculous but right now he's so dull I hope he has the balls to attend the memorial just so the show gets livened up a little. Does Finn have more than one facial expression? Or is it just...
  7. I think you're right; Steffy might have said that full name when she told Liam what she wanted to name baby Kelly.
  8. I agree. The show can make use of him outside of his romantic capacity. IIRC, when he returned post Quinn-kidnapping he was adamant about working the philantropic side of business. They could have him show more of that, again. Didn't SC once bring up he wanted to explore how, and why, Liam had the last name Cooper when he first appeared on B&B? That's another option. Or maybe his mother Kelly isn't really dead after all. There are options, show!
  9. Hope blames Steffy, Steffy blames Hope, Finn's like damn that's messy and Liam's like Nope. Three things, mainly: 1. Can Hope PLEASE take some responsibility instead of blaming it on Steffy? Steffy certainly played a big part but after almost two decades it's about time Hope took responsibility or at least recognized her own part in events. I like you, Hope, and thought you had done some great growing up the last few years—especially after dropping Liam and recognizing you deserved better—but come on. That being said, from a storytelling POV B&B is doing it to juxtapose Hope and Steffy and drive the conflict between them -- both whom think the other is responsible for the Hope/Thomas breakup. Then they air it out with the man in their life, Liam being Hope's since Thomas is out of the picture... But damn, how Liam said "... another man comes into your life that's worth saying yes to." cue cutting to Finn was... not subtle, show. Hope (no pun intended) this can be blamed away on a tired editor who just entered clips into iMovie. I did laugh out loud at how Liam said "Yeah, you're going through a lot." Nice choice by SC. 😂 2. Please give Liam his own storyline instead of simply having him comment on everyone else's. If you're going to use him then put use to him. Hashtag Ivy. 3. I'm also going to say this: these characters are supposed to work at one of the biggest fashion houses in the world. Can they at least try to make them look fashionable? Or keep up with actual modern fashion? Not everything used to be better but B&B used to have characters dress accurately for the fashion during the time it aired - those glorious 90s womens suits for instance! - but now it's like the costume department simply dug out what hasn't been used three times over already. Hashtag cheap.
  10. TOTALLY blaming this on you. Especially if it means that the fewer times you speak it the less he appears. :)

  12. A Friday episode should leave viewers wanting to see what happens next on Monday instead of being thankful for the break. I feel bad for the writers who had to rewrite different versions of the same dialogue for SEVEN whole episodes. The one good thing about this episode is maybe, god willing, it meant an end to this Hope-Thomas-Steffy-Ridge-Brooke argument/debate that's been going on for SEVEN EPISODES. Did I mention the same thing's been rehashed for seven episodes? Also Brooke complaining about anyone being mean is kind of like Gengis Khan complaining about meanness. At least Hope got a little fire in her. 🔥 If that's what it takes to stop her from being sad and boring, I'm all for it. Lastly, WHY would you end on a Luna and Zende scene? No one cares! Not even RJ could be bothered to be around for it. I mean, good for us, but going back to what I said in the beginning: a Friday episode is supposed to want to make viewers tune in on Monday. End with a tease! Not a pee break.
  13. Damn I'm tired of episodes with Hope crying and Brooke coddling her. (AN deserves better.) BOTH are at fault here. And the break-up is on Hope and Thomas themselves.
  14. Can someone oblige me, please: why does Steffy get called Stuffy?
  15. Dear GOD @ TPTB anything but Hope and Liam again. Haven't we suffered enough?!
  16. This episode was repetitive and boring as [insert curse word of your choice here]. Has Bell completely tuned out of his own show? He’s on record saying the worst thing that you can do to viewers is bore them. Well, Bell, a lot of us are VERY bored. And no, our commenting isn’t a sign of how much we care about what’s going on—it’s a sign of how much potential this show has, with several characters that can be interesting, several pairings that actually have good chemistry onscreen and… you’re not attentive at all to that right now? B&B used to have tighter writing that made viewers want to tune in. What it’s doing now is making viewers tune out. Never a good thing. Time to make some changes, Bell et al.
  17. At least Steffy and Hope aren't fighting OVER the same guy this time around? I don't think it's fair to compare Hope talking to Finn about Steffy/Finn and Steffy talking about Hope/Thomas. The only way the comparison works would have been if Finn was Hope's brother. Which, yeuch. Hope has no relational stake in Steffy and Finn's being together; Steffy has in Thomas and Hope being together since Thomas is her brother. Not saying Steffy acted wisely here, just pointing out that a comparison between Hope giving Steffy relationship advice and Steffy giving her brother/Hope advice isn't fair. I enjoy a good soap argment where you can see where both women are coming from. Steffy's a tour-de-force when she acts on behalf of those she loves and cares about. Is that a good thing here though? Not necessarily. Problem is that no one's going to change Steffy's mind here. Not even Thomas. BUT it gives us some entertainment and since we're not getting Hope and Steffy getting along, which is how I enjoy them best, instead I'm sitting here popcorn in hand waiting for them to start taking real digs at each other -- because even after Steffy coming on stronger than a freight train neither woman actually said anything to the other that drove the story or plot forward. We have Liam and Carter reminding us of the potential consequences of Hope rejecting Thomas (proposal), while also reminding viewers that Liam's torch for Steffy's still burning bright. Hey, at least no RJ!
  18. It's refreshing to have a character not jump straight into marriage on B&B, and Hope isn't being unreasonable here. That award goes to Thomas. DUDE. What century do you exist in? Why do you have to get ~married~ so bad like it's the cure to some cancer? Girl told you she loved you but wasn't ready to get married yet. Hold your unicorns, Thomas! Hope's been so busy riding you she's been willing, maybe for the first time in her life, to exist in the now. Let her. Also, what's worse for US, viewers, is that your actions resulted in us getting ANOTHER EPISODE OF HOPE CRYING dear lord WHY. Thanks, Thomas! Thanks a lot. When is this show going to learn viewers don't build sympathy to a crying Hope? I don't dislike Hope—she's one of those characters particularly easy to not have deep feelings for—but this episode gave me war flashbacks to the years the show tried selling us on how ~*~good~*~ she was an how, whenever she was ~hurt~, she'd cry. And cry. Hope, you're totally allowed an emotional reaction but please go back to the more mature version of you that's easier to stomach. This has to be the first time ever Brooke was sympathetic with someone who didn't want to get married where one party wasn't someone she banged. So now they have Liam and Carter sharing a scene because they want Liam around and be present and voice genuine concern for Steffy and Hope BUT he's running out of scene partners LOL please give him plot pronto.
  19. Here’s… drama! (Let's hope.) An episode about wrongness and bad timing: Thomas proposal got rejected. I say proposal and not Thomas because I believe—and the show certainly wants us to believe—that Hope’s feelings for Thomas are genuine. However, due to a case of Bad Timing Thomas proposed soap-weeks too soon and got a no. Womp womp. The drama from this might give the show some much needed energy; all we’d need is a solid romantic couple to root for and B&B might even be a little entertaining again. Liam and Steffy’s conversation—not wrong per se; a solid scene between the two—with Steffy denying there’s anything wrong with her and Finn in the long run (ha ha ha Steffy what planet are you on you live in soap land) and insisting Hope is leading her brother on. Again, Hope’s feelings are genuine. She ain’t ready though. Cue Sad Thomas? Whacky Thomas? Mopey Thomas? Anything but the latter! There are enough mopey men on this show. Speaking of, it’d be nice if Bill remembered he actually already has legitimate kids… then again maybe not, since Dollar Bill has a penchant for messing their lives up. No mints for him, please. Can’t bring myself to care for the Search For Luna’s Daddy because she’s searching in all the wrong places anyway and yawn.
  20. Yay, Spazzy Finn is exchanged for Surfing Shirtless Finn! He's still dull as paint but nice to see he's taken a break from doing his best Haley Joel Osment impression. Ridge wonders why Brooke's change of heart regarding Hope/Thomas now? Duh, because the show wants us to be on board with them, Ridge! You as the audience surrogate should know that. Question is whether it's because the audience should be on board with an inevitable engagement between the two or "shocked" at a no from Hope after how strongly the show signaled a yes. There's mileage out of whatever Hope answers. Definitely leaning one way, though. Since I have no horse in the Hope/Thomas race, I'm happy to sit back and watch chaos ensue no matter what, especially if it gets me less RJ, less Spazzy Finn, and less of Traumatized Woman Comforting Her Crybaby Husband in the Year of the Lord 2024 from here on. 🤞
  21. Regarding Hope/Thomas -- once again they have Ridge in the role of audience surrogate for how viewers should feel about Thomas (and Hope/Thomas) while Brooke acts as the audience insert for those hesitating/on the fence about Hope/Thomas. They literally have Hope take Brooke/the audience's hand and ask her/us to be happy for her and the new love she's found; she even asks Brooke/viewers to give them a chance. Whatever you think about Hope/Thomas, the writing's on the wall: the show wants you to get on board with them.
  22. My pleasure! They'd get a lot of mileage out of introducing a new therapist character a la how they introduced Taylor 1.0 way back when during Caroline's leukemia storyline. Let's face it, most of the characters on the show could use a round or twenty of therapy and it'd compensate for the lack of friends they can't vent to. A therapist is a free way to introduce, signal and advance storylines. But Bell's budget probably says ouch and a lot of hell nos.
