  1. True, but since Michelle was likely in that group of 5 because of her previous alliance with Jeremy, him getting up and walking out, gave her that get out of jail card. She'd rather work with Nick and Jeremy moving forward than against them. There's no reason for her to stay loyal to people on a sinking ship, whom she really hadn't had any alliance with prior to this episode.
  2. You bring up some good strategic points, but based on Michelle's reaction (throwing her hands up in the air) as she cast her vote, she either A.) received a last minute signal from Nick or B.) knew they were screwed after Jeremy left and didn't want to be the next target. I doubt she cares at all what happens to Kim next.
  3. I just feel like Kim's group waited way too long to go after the top dogs. After the last 2 tribal councils Nick was ripe for the picking, but everyone assumed he was on the outs, so they let Sophie's group snatch him up first. I have no clue what Jeremy is doing. At first he wanted to vote out Nick to break up his alliance with Wendell. The next episode he mentioned something about targeting Nick as an ally, but was too busy sitting on his bench to actually follow through with that plan. Kim also wanted Nick out before even concentrating on Sophie. It was definitely an opportunity missed because they could've been in the majority at tribal.
  4. Don't forget that she aged a couple of years at last tribal. 🙂
  5. I have to admit that Ben has had a really good social game this time around. He knows when to jump off a sinking ship and then quickly ingratiate himself with the crew of the next ship that picks him up. He has been on the right side of the vote every time and is basically in on every conversation at camp. It's funny how Nick looked out of place when he sneaked in on the women fixing each other's hair, while Ben was already sitting there chatting like he's getting his hair braided next.
  6. Wouldn't that be an advantage if you think you're in trouble? Adam would've been like "hey Jeff, my butt is fully off the stump, can I go back to camp now?" 🙂 Seriously though I would consider installing a seat belt at each stump keeping people in place. You can only unclip when Jeff gives you permission.
  7. I was thinking about this as well. Did Nick secretly let Michelle know what was happening without the rest of his new alliance catching on? I could see them being upset at him since as you noted, Michelle could've easily turned the tables on Sophie. If they did know that Michelle was a mole working for them, maybe they told Nick that they were splitting the vote 3-3 to give the impression that even if Michelle switched her vote to Sophie, she'd be risking having to draw rocks. If Tony, Ben, Sophie and Sarah continue to work together, I'm not sure if Nick is now a bonafide member or was just useful for this vote.
  8. Why do I get the feeling that next episode, in addition to an idol being hidden at camp, there will be 2 advantages hidden at the EoE to be bartered with the remaining players. When there are 6 people left, each player will be in possession of 3 advantages. Sophie will get up and use her immunity idol, but Kim will nullify it with her idol nullifier. Sophie will then use her 2nd and 3rd immunity idols just to be safe, knowing full well that she has more coming next week.
  9. That was hilarious! 🙂 You scared me there when you mentioned Tony pulling down his pants to use "something" as an advantage!
  10. I completely agree that Jeff needs to put a stop to all the whispering. However, if that does happen then we can't have a million people pulling out all these different advantages from their behind at tribal. In this scenario you basically have to have worked out Plans A to Z at camp to account for all these advantages. In past seasons (going back 10 years) players would be accounting for maybe 1 idol potentially being played at tribal, which led to having a Plan B in place at camp. However, if at camp you have to go through all the different scenarios with your alliance, it sort of forces you to expose your game and pecking order. It'll be like what if Tyson and Kim have an idol , Denise may have a steal a vote, Michelle probably got something from EoE for her 4 tokens, I know Jeremy has something because he's acting suspicious. Ok guys, Plan J will be to vote out Nick...................oh..............wait, sorry Nick.............I thought you always knew you were at the bottom of this group. The whispering sucks, but all these advantages suck even more. I guess production has allowed the whispering to at least let players strategize to account for everyone and their grandmother having an advantage.
  11. It's interesting that Nick voted out his idol Tyson twice. He also voted out his crush Parvati. Maybe it's better not to be admired by Nick. 🙂
  12. I've really enjoyed Sophie's confidence at tribal. I still like Tony and Kim, but if she does win this All Winner's season, I can totally get on board with that. Please no Michelle or Ben.
  13. With only 9 players left I do think that they need to come out of their shell and make moves in front of the jury. You see Kim using her idol for Denise. Denise obviously using 2 idols to take out Sandra (although it was not directly in front of the jury). Sophie boldly telling her group to go to the side and make a move to give the impression that she's the ring leader. Tony is also planning a big move for the next episode. Sarah playing chicken with Jeremy. Heck, even Nick made that big speech last week about fighting to stay. If Michelle, Ben or even Jeremy think they can just stay out of the limelight and get the jury vote, that is just not happening with this group. I will say it was funny seeing Kim trying to read the opposing group with her idol play, with Tony looking down, Sarah closing her eyes, Sophie peeking through her fingers and Ben looking around like he has no clue what's happening.
  14. Have Michelle and Jeremy burned all bridges with Kim and Denise, and are now the 6th and 7th wheels with the other 5? At this point I just can't see Nick, Michelle, Jeremy, Denise and Kim getting on the same page to go after the other 4. Michele acting like a potential mole has definitely limited her options with the smaller group. Also, with both Denise and Kim coming out as big threats over the last couple of episodes, I can see Jeremy working with Tony again to stay alive for another couple of votes and taking them out. He's better off doing that than trying to explain abandoning his group. They will never trust him. I like Tyson, but at this point I'd like to see anybody else come back from EoE than him. Serious Tyson is not that fun to watch.
  15. I doubt there was a re-vote since only 6 votes would be cast at that point, with Sophie, Denise and Tyson not voting (they showed 8). My gut tells me that Sarah and company did split their votes 3-3 against Denise and Tyson, with Michelle flipping to give Tyson a 4th vote. They didn't show the last Denise vote to keep it suspenseful between Sophie and Tyson.
  16. I'm definitely not a fan of Ben and thought that production gave him his win with the fire making challenge. That being said, I do give him a lot of credit this season for hustling and playing a more social game. He's involved in practically every conversation in and around camp and is always aware of who's getting voted off. He initially created bonds with the old school tribe (especially with Ethan), but also made a good connection with Denise, and switched to her side when it mattered. After the tribe swap, he seamlessly created bonds with Sophie and Sarah, while Adam was on the outs. After the merge, all of a sudden he's buddy buddy with Tony, Jeremy and Tyson. He still makes some dumb moves like arguing with Adam or talking about finding idols for others at tribal, but I have to give him credit for socializing with basically everyone on the island. If he makes it to the final 3, no one on the jury can say that he never bothered to talk to them once. Is he playing the best game thus far, of course not. However, I would still put him ahead of Michelle and Nick. Michelle has been blindsided by way too many vote outs, while Nick failed to create bonds in the beginning of the game, and then made the catastrophic move of turning on the Dakal tribe by voting out Yul. Him asking people to join his side while he's at the bottom, is a bit too little too late at this point. I really like Sophie's game, but my worry is that she's too behind the scenes for an all winner's season, to get the jury vote. If she makes it to the final 3 with strong allies like Sarah and ?, will the jury recognize her game play? Unfortunately, she doesn't have the preexisting relationships like Kim (even if Kim's game has been more low key). Going back to Ben, one argument that can be made against him is that none of the people getting voted out have given him their fire tokens. This could be a bad omen, especially combined with jury members laughing at him at tribal. His shot at winning this game remain extremely low, but just wanted to give him a shout out for at least trying to play the game and making bonds.
  17. Jeremy's advantage could potentially nullify Sarah's advantage if she decided to steal his vote. By Jeremy getting up and walking out, this move could actually backfire on Sarah, since she would have one less vote than what she counted on at tribal.
  18. 1.) Has this been confirmed anywhere, or is this just an opinion? All the recaps I've watched say something different. 2.) With respect to my original post, what I meant is that both contradictory statements made by Jeff occurred 10 months after filming was completed. You'd think that if Rob or Natalie had made it back to the game and used their idols, he would've remembered something like that. In any case, it's not like Jeff changed his mind in the middle of the game. This was all after the fact.
  19. Spot on. The only reason I created this list is because I'm confused as well. It's like Sarah said, everyone is now playing a solo game.
  20. So I'm trying to figure out what alliances are still in play. Here's a tentative list. Am I missing some? Meat Shield (aka Lion or big threat) Alliance: Tony, Tyson, Jeremy, Ben. Old Dakal: Sophie, Tony, Sarah, Kim New Dakal: Denise, Jeremy, Kim (Tony was on the outs) Old Sele: Jeremy & Michelle (the ship has sailed on Ben and Denise, but I could be wrong) New Sele: Nick & Michelle Yara: Sarah, Ben, Sophie Cops R Us: Tony & Sarah Poker Club: Jeremy, Kim, Tyson Goofy Pals: Tyson & Sarah Going down the list: Michelle has 2 connections; Nick has 1 connection, but could have a secret idol alliance with Tyson; Sophie has 4 connections; Tony with 6; Sarah with 5; Kim with 6; Denise with 2 (seems low); Jeremy with 6; Tyson with 5; Ben with 5. Looks like Tony, Jeremy and Kim have a leg up at this point. I'm also not sure how close Ben and Sophie are at this point. Jeremy and Michelle is also a tentative relationship.
  21. You bring up some good points. As you noted, perhaps Sandra also negotiated leaving the EoE as part of her fee to play again, where others have to stick it out. There are also rumors that certain players held out for a bigger payday to join the cast. I'm assuming part of the stipulation would be to stay until the end. Going back to the EoE menu, assuming that the jar of peanut butter now costs 4 tokens, it would likely mean that everything else on the menu costs at least that much now. If that's the case and Wendell didn't bequeath his fire token to Michelle last week, you basically couldn't buy anything with the 50/50 advantage trade. I really hope that if prices did go up, the jar of peanut butter only cost 2 fire tokens this time around.
  22. So Jeff Probst initially said that Natalie and Rob's immunity idols are now obsolete. However, since then he has retracted that statement and noted that the idols are still valid. If one of those 2 was able to win their way back into the game, you would assume that Jeff would not forget they had an immunity idol (unless he did this on purpose to throw everyone off..............who knows).
  23. Type in the following in Youtube: Survivor Winners at War: Secret Scene - Peanut Butter and Yoga
  24. I'm confused about something. Why is everyone starving on EoE when early on Amber caught a fish using a fishing rod, while Dani managed to get a small one via a spear? A couple of weeks ago Rob mentioned that the fishing equipment wan't any good on EoE, but back in "All-Stars" all he needed was a spear to catch 10 or 11 fish at one time "Boston Style". Heck, he can even build a small raft and try and fish in the open sea. Has he become that lazy that he won't even attempt to fish anymore?
  25. Parvati clearly dislikes Wendell. I also think that the old school players put 2 and 2 together to figure out that Yul was partially responsible for voting 3 of them out. Although Parvati hasn't brought her "A" game to this winners season (or wasn't allowed to), she's still a master manipulator. She has a really subtle way of shaping people's opinions, especially towards players who were instrumental in voting her out. My gut tells me that the person Parvati votes for as the eventual winner will be the person who wins Winners at War.
