Is it just me, or is the dancing in the triangle formation boring. I don't mind it and I love seeing who earns point for the season, it's just that they have an entire field and they choose to dance in the same formation most of the counts. The video shows them in different formations and also using the triangle. I wish they would go back to doing this.

This was absolutely refreshing to watch. I'm a sucker for nostalgia, including TS, but couldn't they find a way to incorporate both?

Season 7 on now.  For some reason I keep missing the episode where Megan gets cut.  Something about her eyes bugged me and finally getting to see this episode i now know what it is.  Her eyeliner was way too much. When she went to practice with her friend and didn’t have it on she looked so much better and totally different   I didn’t recognize her

I'm watching, too, and I noticed a split second during makeovers that they showed the make up artist removing some from under her eyes. It was pretty thick. I wonder if she and Holly H. maintained their friendship?

Madeline S was not a favorite with the other judges. "Soft in her dancing" one of them said.   I do not believe that was all Kelli in fact I thought Kelli was how she made it to training camp.  Her group leader Amy believed Madeline S should have stayed another year in Oklahoma to mature in her dancing.   If your group leader is not supporting you, it is going to be a rough training camp.   I thought when Madeline S was cut her face slipped and you could tell she thought she had made it due to legacy status.   I believe she is pretty but I did not see her rock star dancing.

Didn't seem to hurt Lisa her rookie year, lol. If I remember correctly, it was noticed that none of the group leaders gave her a "top 36" sticker.

The show also didn't really touch on the girl Maegan Morrison from Season 6 & 7 who was also a Legacy candidate. She's the girl Kitty told to take out her Bellybutton thingy in Season 6, then told her she needed to up her game because the girl Miranda was her competition and was much better.

I wonder why the show seems to care about focusing on some girls (for better or worse), but completely ignoring details that could be useful/interesting about others.

Wow. I remember exactly which girl you're talking about and I never knew she was a legacy until reading your post.

I don't get it, either. Seems like a built-in storyline that's actually appealing to viewers.

I 90% agree with you on this...I think occasionally there’s just a cheerleader that’s given prominence and it doesn’t make sense. Maddie is a fan favorite and I think she’s a lovely cheerleader and human, but didn’t make sense why she was point. It would have made more sense if she was given the Jinelle treatment. Group leader, show group, didn’t hit the triangle. Amy too.

Ehhhh...I think we saw with Yuko and Meredith that TPTB will take 37 if they’re motivated. I think they had their own reasons to boot the veterans and it’s wasn’t to get a rookie on the team. And honestly, for those rookies that haven’t been drinking the DCC kool-aid their whole lives and relocated from Florida, California or Atlanta (or anywhere, really) I don’t blame them one bit for checking a box off their bucket list and calling it good.

Completely agree with both statements and comparisons.

The obvious hint and signs was that she has deleted all signs of being the director of Raiderettes from her IG that was the first sign. Also google says that she was Raiderettes from 2018 to 2021. If she hasn't left then shouldn't it say 2018 - Present. And looks like she also wiped of alot of her DCC days pics from her IG apart from from a handful of it.

I wonder if she completed this year before leaving? I wonder who the new Raiderettes Director would be.

Good good Heather. But didn't she take that director job for that dance team a few months ago? My memory is blanking on that team's name and where its located. I wonder if she makes the team would she leave that director job?

Is that the same team that Brianna left after 3 years for to be on DCC? Or who was it that was on the team that was walking on a bridge with her titans friend saying "I am relocating and chasing this dream of being on DCC and not knowing if I would make the team versus knowing that I could have stayed in Tennessee on a team I know I can get onto"?

Interesting about the social media scrub and I wonder the same thing about whether or not Mandy finished out her contract.

Yes. Briana cheered for the Titans before trying out for DCC.

  7. Just rewatched Season 7, Episode 5. I forgot how much I enjoyed the portion of that episode where Judy and Kitty ran practice and held office meetings. The critiques, encouragement, and overall dialogue seemed clear and supportive. (Danielle and Jasmine's rookie season, episode where Jasmine shared about being born with a clubbed foot)

It also reminded me of how well Shelly RC worked with the girls on the kickline. I'd enjoy seeing more of her featured on the show if she's still working with the DCC as a technique coach.

I agree. I was surely being facetious when I mentioned her replacing Kelli.

And it would be really entertaining to know if what is said about why and how she left could be confirmed and even more entertaining if there was still video of it. It would surely surpass the time long ago when Megan Fleherty called Kelli & Judy out after being cut from training camp a third time. That video is a classic! Hah!

I don't think anyone will be able to top Megan Flaherty's scene telling them off, in part because they painted her as unpolished, yet she was able to school them on how to treat people and kept her composure to boot!

I have this observation every time I see the end of season 8, but I just have to share it. Brittany Schram can't participate in the first game because she has herniated discs in her back. As someone who has suffered from herniated discs in the past (though in my cervical spine, not lumbar spine), I can attest to how absolutely teeth-clenchingly painful it is. (I used to wake up in pain in the middle of the night and cry.)

Brittany cannot dance even a little. And yet, there she is, in the matching sports bra and booty shorts with an ice pack shoved down her pants (been there, girl!) standing on the sidelines watching. While I almost understand why the DCC would need to come to rehearsals when sick or injured, so they can keep up with the material, why the hell are they making Brittany "dress out" (as we used to say in gym class) while she's in obvious pain from an injury during the rehearsal of a pre-game performance that she's done for two entire seasons at that point? Like sure, team unity or whatever, but seriously? I'm not a doctor, but it seems like making her drive to Valley Ranch, take the team bus to the stadium, watch rehearsal and then sit in the locker room for the whole game would make her injury WORSE and not speed recovery for her to be an active member of the team.

All that say, I respect the hell out of Schram because I could not have done it! It was hard enough for me to go to work every day and I have a desk job!

I didn't even think about all of that. Reading your post clarifies one more bizarre thing about the world of DCC.

I wonder if Jordyn ever spoke out about that later experience and shared her thoughts on how she thinks her audition went.

Seems like they have an increasingly yucky attitude towards girls that were previously DCC and then return later to try to earn their spot back. I thought that blonde Jenna looked the part when she attempted her comeback, but they seemed so over her. That "past her expiration date" that was made (Jay, I think) back when Kristin Hagar and Carrie SG tried out again always sticks in my head. I don't get the contempt and disregard they show for some former DCC.

Darian with her identical twin Devon and...DCC Taylor Pedersen, who retired last year after 1 season.

I honestly can’t tell which one is Devon and which one is Darian!

What group/occasion is this from? I didn't know that she had a connection to Taylor P.  I think Darian's in the middle and Devon is at the bottom. I would love for them to be the first identical twin DCCs; they are so GORGEOUS and Darian seems genuine and talented.

I loved checking out the wedding party pics and photo gallery. I know there are mixed feelings about a DCC-heavy bridal party, but my nostalgic heart adores seeing them together. Daniel is so cute rocking a high ponytail and like some of you mentioned, it's so sweet seeing that she and Jasmine are still besties.

I get the same vibes from VK and Lisa. Mia was wanting to be close to Cassie the same way Lisa is towards Victoria.

If we're talking about the Cassie and __ teaming up on "I don't like my haircut" Taylor, then that was Ally Trainor, not Mia Greenhouse.

Is the DCC style and choreography unique?  I’m also suprised that Alexis, Alanna and Briana, while they are all clearly decent, danced professionally previously but never made Showgroup and don’t seem to be stand outs to judges & TBTB. Sorry if this a dumb question!

I remember it also being said that their routines typically have more moves. For example, another team's choreo may have one move on every count, whereas a DCC routine may have a move on the half-beat, too.
