So was Sunny ever on the Dean's list?

Didn't you know that Sunny was a child prodigy?  She graduated from HS at 15 and she loves being asked about it during interviews.

  2. I wish the time that Paris 🙄received was given to Megan Piphus Peace yesterday.  What was briefly introduced about Megan before her puppet took over was enough for me to google her name.  What she has accomplished as a young woman is exceptional and would be a far better story for the month of March honoring women.   Again, Paris HIlton, really?

EXACTLY!  My tiny house (1000sf) has three TALL/filled bookcases*, two bedrooms, and FOUR televisions.   Not to mention the hundreds of novels on my collection of 50-ish Walkman Mp3 players.  Some of us CAN walk and chew gum at the same time.  (*Books sitting around on tables, the floor, etc.)

Me too...bookshelves all over and televisions for those who have other interests.   Sometimes you want a tv show, other times a good book.  It is nice to have so many choices!

It was about Clay Aiken and the producers allowed Kelly to let Rosie have it on air on her own show. I always thought it was very disrespectful of Rosie. It was obvious that the producers mostly sweaty Bill Geddie wanted to embarrass her on the air.  That conversation between Rosie and Kelly should have happened off the air just like the infamous split screen..

Many years ago, when college interns were being rotated during the summer, Bill Geddie filmed his firing of  a young lady intern from Richmond, Va.  Apparently she had been overheard giving a negative opinion about Meredith Vieria ,so  Bill decided to humiliate her on air.  It was a disgusting decision and I took a break from the show for a long while.  It didn't surprise me when he was mentoring Elizabeth H as she was just as nasty as  he was at the time.

Again - between the facelift, Botox, fillers and the " Whitney Houston 1987"  wig -   Asunción looks horrible this season. Perhaps that is why she is so bitter since the season started ?

I was amused when recently Sunny was all in gold/brown and in that wig which made me think of the  cowardly lion of the Wizard of Oz.  All she needed was bronzer stripes across her cheeks to finish the picture.

  6. I am/was verklempt when Ana spoke.  Glad to know she sees how viewers really like her contribution whenever she graces the table.  Alyssa gave a thoughtful statement too.  Hopefully she will continue to be a moderating voice.

You could not pay me to watch a show with Hasselbeck on it. Regarding who is worse-McCain or Hasselbeck? I can tell you this, I would not spit on either of them if they were on fire. I agree with those who said they did this so we would not take the Amy Farrah Meg Griffin thing so hard.

I also thought that this was a tactical move before announcing the replacement the next day.  From the sounds of it Hasselbeck delivered the "Praise Be" performance. 🤢

My $.02 regarding the Will Smith apology. Chris Rock is under no obligation to accept any apology, especially one as insincere as the one given. My guess, within the next couple of weeks Will is going to announce some kind of project and is only offering the apology to garner favorable press. Chris Rock is not the bad guy here. I think the ladies forget that fact.

Will's movie Emancipation was supposed to be released this year and other offers are in limbo.  Conventional wisdom on various sites think the apology was to ease his work back into circulation as early as 2223.

I know this would probably belong in the media thread but for those that are pissed about Alyssa, drink up, next week will be worse.

Thanks for the reminder!!!!  I thought oh noes when I first read the headline this week.  I just can't with her and won't!  I only watch for Joy and I find I like Sara.  Ana is also a keeper but the rest I could easily walk away for another few years.

Has it been confirmed they're interviewing for a co-host by rotating candidates?  As a long-time viewer, most of the positions have been filled by someone who was never rotating in the empty seat with a few exceptions (Elisabeth Hasselbeck.) They always seem to spring someone out of left field.

"Multiple sources tell Variety that ABC executives have chosen Farah Griffin, 33, to join “The View” for its 26th season, which kicks off in the fall."

    Trending on Twitter

  11. Lindsey seems to be getting her minutes in today.  I wonder if she is being encouraged to push the envelope.  If so, I am not interested.

Meanwhile I have read on the nets that Alyssa is probably(?) the final choice.   I don't know if this is a leak to gauge reaction or just wishful thinking by her PR people.

  12. Miss Sunny would sing a different tune if her daughter came home and told her she was in love and engaged to a British prince.  She would put Carol Middleton to shame with her self importance and her fawning over the new in-laws.

    • Interesting Vanity Fair article, by Charlotte Klein,  dropped in my mailbox this a.m. about Alyssa Farah Griffin and The View.

Highlights that The View wants drama like McCain inspired...less about political balance more about the drama.  Navarro doesn't bring that kind of heat apparently. Also noted that Grisham and Griffin are probably tapped because they both walked on dark side and now want to rebrand as moderates, hence their repeat performances.

There is a lot in the article and I recommend it if you can get a hold of a copy.  I thought the author did a fair job.

  13. What in the name of heaven was Sunny wearing today.  It look like a wrap dressing gown.  I often wonder if hair/makeup and wardrobe really like her when I see some of the outfits and hairdo's she has this season.  On the other hand, Alyssa seems chic everyday and pageant ready for her closeup.  What a contrast it is to the other end of the table.

I just read through his tweets and he really nails her behavior and implies that Cindy, at least, recognized she'd raised a monster ego.

I always wondered how the brothers and John's children by the 1ST wife dealt with St. Meghan.  I didn't realize John had so many other children until the funeral.

Lindsey does not seem to be very well informed.  She just spouts out the talking points she has been given by her "coaches".

Flashbacks to the Bill Geddie/Fox days coaching Hasselbeck.

  16. I don't think I have ever wanted to reach through the television and shake someone like I did today when Lindsey went on her anti-Biden rant.

MM didn't ever raise my blood pressure like this wingding did today.   I admit I am sensitive after the latest round of taking women's rights away but really jump on the guy that is trying to fight against the party that is taking us back to the 1600's?

The show wasn't interrupted until just before the interview here, but most of their interviews are blah anyway, Besides, I wanted to see Albright's funeral, personally.

The show was a bit off the rails today. It seemed like Ana kept interrupting everyone's point midstream and then they tried to get back on track afterwards, or at least it happened to Sara and Joy (not sure about Sunny). She was funny with the joke about testicle-tanning though.

I wanted to see the funeral too, Madeline was an exceptional woman and she deserved the accolades that were scheduled.

I am enjoying Joy the moderator even with her senior moments.  I especially like her gorgeous shoes that are noticeable from the mod seat.  Hopefully Whoopie has several more movies lined up so that we can enjoy her on the big screen where she really does her best work :)

Amber is a break from the intense rotation that has been working that end seat this season.  Her demeanor reminded me of Rosie Perez when she was part of the panel.  If only Ana would be a permanent seat there would no need to keep looking for a firebrand Republican.

  18. I would like to hear DeSantis discussed when A F Griffin is a guest host.  She is one of the conservative seat options and DeSantis is just a smarter version of  #45 who she supported.  I would expect she would not be as hysterical as Hasselbeck was during her time in the chair, but the arguments might be just as heated.  I also read that she is a grad of Patrick Henry College, the same school that Madison Cawthorn attended briefly.

FYI on View Your Deal, the Wolferman deal is interesting.  Every holiday one of my family members loves the Wolferman berry assortment and trust me it is literally half price today!😉

There's a difference between "friendly enough," and "friends."  I couldn't watch Wendy for even one full episode--ever.  I bolded some things so I don't have to repeat them for myself.

I agree about Sunny...the "real" Sunny is at the table more and more.  I'm with ya on Joy...my long-time favorite (I'll always remember Meredith).

Yep!  When it happened to Sunny--it entertained Whoopi.  When it happened to HER, she probably filed it under "pending business.  If Tara's name comes up for consideration, I'm sure Whoopi will bring Sunny's "treatment" into the conversation.  Methinks Tara overstepped her bounds.  She did know better.

I totally agree on all points!

  20. Loved the show today.  The opening topic on the Supreme Court and the oversight (problem?) was educational for those who don't know much about that branch of government.  I have seen it discussed on other political shows and applaud the cast for making it the first topic.

Nathan Lane never disappoints and seeing the flashback pic was interesting.  Was Whoopie part of the panel back then?

What always hits me about Sunny and the View Your Deal is that she always starts loading her pockets with the products.  I wasn't aware of Sara doing that when she handled the segment, if she did it wasn't so blatant.

  21. I haven't noticed Whoopie wearing slogans on her shirts/sweats before her week w/o pay.  Did I not realize that she has always had a message on her clothes or is this just a subtle protest to management?
