  1. The incessant drumming thing, MAKE IT STOP. Besides distracting and annoying they actually drown out the dialogue in some scenes. Is that by design? Ok that's my post. As you were everyone. Back to your summer.

Oops sorry one more thing. Iggy driving the RV while the unrestrained children performed circus moves in the back complete with one hanging from the bunk above him. Add my mother chain smoking in the front seat and you have my childhood car trips from the 1970s.

  2. Watching the format of this show play out reminded me of my senior year math class where I sat there thinking what's even happening right now. People coming and going, then coming back out, crying and goodbying, saving, more voting and goodbying and a wildcard or something. All we're missing is a dart board and fire.

  3. I tuned in kind of late and didn't recognize Caleb sans hat sitting in the back. Figuring more AI trickery my last pandemic nerve was triggered. Who the f**k is...what are they....oh wait....

Caleb--finally did a song I liked and he was real good. Not sure why he's so popular, but he is. Go figure

I like his voice and country music and all that but for me it's how he looks like at any given moment he's about 10 seconds from flipping everybody off.

In the original Rosanne, Becky and Darlene were cleaning DJ's room and found a box of doll heads (Barbie, Cher, GI Joe) and another box of doll body parts. They were totally creeped out.

One time I came downstairs to a naked Barbie swinging from the rafters. Neither of my brothers would fess up and the really creepy part was I never owned a Barbie so apparently they kidnapped her as well.

I keep watching hoping for the magic of the first iteration of this show but I don’t see it coming.

    The magic had to leave.

Plus, doesn't the bank pretty much still own it?

I don’t consider Caleb surly but just is going to do his own thing.  He’s very talented for 16.  Hey, look at Gabby. I can definitely see him breaking through in Country.

Agreed. I liked when Katy was trying to get him to smile and he was having none of it. He's my fave because he can live without this. He also slightly scares me. Lol

Surly country girl was shocked at the end.

Reality was hitting her hard in that moment. Admitedly I don't know how song choice works with the duets but she should have done a ballad imo. Softened up her image, toned down the tude, and added a touch of humility and she might have gone through. And Katy could have helped her with this earlier but chose to play it up instead.

  8. I understand everyone's point about the tickets and the Conner's cycle of poverty, but Molly's dying wish was for Darlene to use those tickets to have some fun and live for the moment because you may not get the future. Molly didn't.

Also, Jesus take the wheel because I'm way beyond tired with respect to Ben.

Was Emilio's cousin actually the real life mother of the little girl that played Beverly Rose? Because the child crying real tears when she was taken out of her arms, crying for her mama and settled quietly when she was back in her arms.

Brilliant! That would explain how they shot that scene. I was trying to figure it out.

  10. Caleb Kennedy is 16 but sings like he's 40 so maybe that's why they were meh about his original song. They forgot. I thought it was good. Love his voice.

Hannah needs her own show where she just walks around commenting on life. I understand why she grates for AI with some people but she's funny. Maybe I grate. Lol

I couldn’t help but laugh at the teen who was totally Gaga over Blake but it was Nick who turned for her

And then he goes "she reacted to you the way people usually react to me." Lol

I genuinely enjoyed tonight. This season has finally found its footing. Strong night for PowerPoint. They're using this in grade four?? Damn I was still tracing my hand and watching another kid eat glue.

I think the second Savanna is sleeper voice of the show if Blake wants to invest the time. Some beautiful qualities. Surprised Kelly didn't turn. Maybe she was still recovering from definitely not you Jordan.

As much as I wish they would cut the coaches mic while the contestants are singing I also want them to cut the mic of the families

    Starting with Connor's mom.

Will never understand why some contestants still think they need a gimmick to get on a show called THE VOICE. It isn't called killer guitar or weird contraption I carry in a suitcase. Just sing man. Of course as I write this, Connor got on showing zero range and Katelyn who had all the range and just needed a coach didn't get one.

"Your outfit looks like you work for Apple" is comment of the night and oddly kind of summing up the season for me thus far.

  13. For whatever reason the canned laughter really got to me in this episode. It was like I couldn't not hear it, this noise, after almost every line of dialogue whether it was earned or not and more often it was not. It's a product of the times I realize that, but it's a contrivance that does a disservice to a show that in some moments already seems like it's trying too hard to be funny.

Same. Although, his 'Is this another language? Is this in English?' when ET was singing was hilarious.

For real! His wtaf is happening right now head was the most honest reaction I've seen in a long time. So funny.

I really feel for Dan's predicament. When he said "I thought when I quit it would be my choice." This man is working himself into the grave and there's nothing he can do.

As do I. But I miss the Dan Conner who was married to Roseanne. At times I don't know who this angry, scraggly haired, bitter, volatile, old man is lurking in the shadow of Dan. But he scares me. And he should be living alone.

I'm amazing myself by saying my favorite audition last night was Zack, the mud-covered 'Deliverance' extra. It was like taking a time machine trip to about 1840 or something. No, it's not American Idol stuff, but fascinating and very, very real.

By far he was mine as well. Very real as you said and special. I was mesmerized. When Lionel said he had no words what came to mind for me was Jesus take the wheel with this kid. The judges can help polish him up but it's really out of their hands. What he has was given. Also his guitar playing, that little chord switch thing he did? Damn.

I thought Saveria had a great voice, but her mistake was in song choice.   She should have asked if she could do another one.  They let people do second songs all the time... like Arthur.

I didn't understand this either. I was waiting for them to say show us another song. And they were also weirdly negative with Lionel saying something like I'm a no for now because I think she needs to do the discovery work. The only thing that Saveria will discover is she didn't fit the narrative.

But continuing with things I didn't understand, fitness girl was not "incredible."

Regarding Nick and whether or not he should have been sent home, he's a hot guy with a strut and look reminiscent of a young Elvis. He also has personal issues which I'm sure will come to light, and talent, he's tv gold.
