I was surprised that after losing 250 lbs. her face looked almost as big as before she lost the weight.
I'm almost thinking that she was either on Prednisone (which causes "moon face") or she had kidney issues.

I was a big "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fan and was surprised to see Iyari Limon in this ad for Linzess. I never cared for her character very much, but I had the opportunity to meet her at a convention many years ago and I really liked her.

She served the mousse in knock-off retro sundae dishes from her Walmart collection and decorated them with gummy bears -- to make sure they were masculine.
They were actually gummy worms. Because kids like gross stuff.
I couldn't help thinking what her kids' dental bills are like. Or their blood sugar levels.
I'm not a fan of mint flavored ice cream, so that abomination she "made" had me gagging. She put some candy in store-bought vanilla ice cream, basically. She really puts the sage in Osage, doesn't she?

Does anyone know why Daryl cut a look at Glenn when he said that he had just gotten back to Alexandria?
I really enjoyed this episode. I was sort of meh about the season so far but I thought this one really delivered on all fronts. When Daryl blew up the bikers, I wanted to crown him as the new king of the badasses. I kind of figured that Carl was going to lose his eye, but still when he turned around and said, "Dad," my heart fell. At first I thought he was walker meat until I realized it was Rick bending down to pick him up. Poor kid.

I don't get the "Pull that peach!" ad. Like, are they supposed to be like bananas, where one second they're edible and the next they aren't?
Maybe it's a Mackinaw peach. They're only good for two weeks.

... but not so much when it high-fives someone. You don't know where that hand has been!

Hey, WW is paying Oprah a lot of dough to talk about how she can eat bread!
I watch a lot of nostalgia channels and they are famous for showing really cheaply made commercials. One is for some company that helps people with poor credit get better credit. It's on every commercial break. "So that you can get a new house, a new car, even a new job!" I think it's the announcer's voice that drives me batty, as well as the stock footage of people pulling their hair out as they're poring over their bills.

Welp, I found most of the SuperBowl ads to be disappointing this year. But this commercial for Mtn Dew Kickstart just took the cake. I don't know what they were on with this mess. The hybrid is like something out of The Fly.
I really thought I was having a waking nightmare when I saw that. Who in their right mind thought that a mutation from The Island of Dr. Moreau would sell soda? The claymation intestines representation for Xifaxan is equally horrifying. Stop trying to make IBS cute! It's not working!

The Panera ads bother me to no end. Congratulations on serving clean food, Panera. I'm glad you guys aren't dropping your sandwiches on the floor before serving them. The newest one shows people enjoying their soup and sandwich combos. In one scene two women are wrapped up in duvets while eating their soup. I guess the heat is out in their apartment and the soup and the duvets are the only things keeping them from freezing to death? It's just dumb.

I thought the kitchen in last night's episode already looked nice. But people don't seem to like individual rooms anymore. It's like we're getting back to pioneer living in which everyone lives in one big room.

The ads for the latest Nicholas Sparks adaptation, "The Choice," are absolutely relentless. I think I have them all memorized now. "Come back and bother me!" How romantic!

Even worse -- "See Me, Feel Me" performed by Pomplamoose!

And that psoriasis ad where the people keep saying "See me" is making me scream.
I keep expecting them to start singing "See Me, Feel Me" from "Tommy."

I can barely watch this show anymore and it's not because of the cooking. I am too distracted by her traffic cone colored tresses. Her hair just looks so fake. I've seen clown wigs that were more realistic than her hair.

Why do this to a beloved Cole Porter song? Why? WHY?

I loved the couple on last night's show! The wife especially. I smiled every time she said "Yes, ma'am." Someone raised her right!
Chip should have known that a house that has been pretty much a nature reserve for 10 years would have some structural issues. He should have told the couple to have some funds in reserve just in case the foundation was cracked and in need of extensive repair. That's just a given with older homes that have been sitting idle for a while.

DH tried to the mozzarella sticks the other day. He said they were alright--about what you would expect for essentially paying $1 for them.
Finding this out right now. :P

I haven't seen this episode yet, but something I've found myself thinking, while watching Flip or Flop: why is Fixer Upper a one-hour show when Flip or Flop is only a half hour?
Because audiences can only take so much of Christina screaming about bugs and complaining about odors?

I only hope this ring comes with a little countdown clock to tell you when you can expect it to turn your finger green.

There's a commercial for a Bosch dishwasher with a convenient third drawer so that couples would argue over how the dishes should be arranged. What gets me is the dishes and silverware are already clean.

I just want to know what the purple stuff was in the refrigerator that was passed over for Sunny D! Grape juice? Pinot noir? Grimace's urine? It could have been so many things.

I like the commercial for 'Blossom Blast" (a video game) because of the catchy song. Boom boom!
It sounds like Chewbacca is trilling at the end of the song. :)

The NutriSystem ads with Dan Marino are from the devil. Each time he says, "Put down that pie!" I want to hit him with a frozen leg of lamb.

I am not a huge Julia Roberts fan either, and I have a feeling this commercial is going to be her White Diamonds, in that we're going to see it every Christmas even long after she's dead.

Say What?: Commercials That Made Us Scratch Our Heads
in Commercials
I'd never heard of Sunny Sea Gold before I saw her on commercials about Binge Eating Disorder or B.E.D. All I can think of when I hear the initials B.E.D. is Blanche Elizabeth Devereaux.
