  1. I honestly don't get the commercial for a Chase credit card where a woman says she started a restaurant when she was eight months pregnant and financed it using a Chase credit card.

Do people really finance businesses this way? Is it a credit card that's different than your basic cc? Cause generally interest rates are pretty high with credit cards and it's not the best thing to only pay the minimum amount due

Somebody tell Mika the President of Taiwan is a woman, there's a KYV plug in there somewhere.

I did notice that Elise Jordan plugged KYV this morning. She even reminded us where it was held

  3. I watched this morning thru Claire because it turns out there's more news than MJ ever covers.

While I was watching they spent a segment on Larry Lucchino whom I was not familiar with and zero time on the biggest earthquake to strike Taiwan in 25 years.

  4. Big morning for Rev Al today. I caught the end of Lemire's show with the Rev and also on MJ

He knows Trump. But no one asks him why he isn't mobilizing all the black leaders to be in Detroit, Milwaukee and Philly

  5. It's so idiotic that NBC hired Ronna considering how toxic her remarks about MSNBC and the hosts in particular have been as RNC chair.

There are a slew of current and former Republicans that work for MSNBC so finding a legitimate voice on the right wouldn't have been too hard.

I don't know how much she will achieve in suing but NBC will now have to sleep in the bed they made

Yeahbut, Rachel has top billing.  I bet Joe noticed.  " including MSNBC primetime headliner Rachel Maddow and the co-hosts of “Morning Joe”..."

The decision to hire her is interesting.  I don't know if it's a bad idea to have a pro-MAGA true believer on staff.  40% of Americans absolutely agree with her.  Having shows allow her to speak her piece, then punch down on her mercilessly, like wrestlers off the top turnbuckle, could be instructive.  They captured a live one, it's in a cage in the lab, experiment on it - see what it takes for her to admit to things like gravity, math, laws, you know, provable phenomena.

It's not bad to have a MAGA but Ronna aided in trying to overturn an election.  She actively tried to pressure election officials to not certify the votes in their states. In Michigan she promised to hire lawyers so they'd break the law. Nuff said

  7. Surprised NBC hasn't put out a version of the Anderson Cooper hostage tape to defend their decision

  8. Bravo to all the MSNBC hosts that bravely followed Chuck Todd's lead.

But now what. So what. They can't talk about this everyday. Hopefully NBC's ratings will plunge and they'll dump Ronna. Or they're betting on the election and figuring they'll have an insider

The cable networks are like Mean Girls. They revel in each other's problems.

Yes! But CNN dodged a bullet and they're probably happy that MSNBC won the bidding war for Ronna

I kind of like that they are spreading their wrings on other networks.  Even if it is just to discuss their book(s).

Yeah I updated my post because this wasn't the first time I've seen this. I think they realize they share the same viewers

The top story today was Trump's legal problems.

At 6:14 am, Mika & Joe addressed the decision on NBC News to hire Ronna McDaniel without consulting Joe. Joe is opposed to her hiring.  Joe said Ronna supported Trump's fake elector scheme & pressured election officials not to certify the vote.

Mika said Conservative Republicans should be allowed to appear on the network. She wants NBC to reconsider their decision.

They played clips of her interview on MTP. Mika called it exhausting.

Joe called it a sickness in the GOP.

I was glad that they addressed the elephant in the room early on this morning.

But Mika really hit the jackpot when CNN aired her comments.

The CNN media reporter thinks this is so bad for NBC that might have to rethink their decision 🤔

It was very surprising to see Chuck criticize the network so directly. It will be interesting to see if Joe Scarborough was consulted on hiring Ronna McDaniel. Joe considers himself to be the highest-ranking former Republican official at MSNBC.

Chuck being the one willing to speak so frankly on air was surprising but good job

  13. That's the way I see it too. She should be banished from any legitimate news organizations. That not you NBC?

Pay her the money she was promised. Release her from her contract and cut ties with her. Surely that's a small sum to pay to reclaim you're self respect NBC

Well, it wasn't MTP, but Jonathan Capehart did a one-on-one with President Biden just after the SOTU.

Interesting but that's cable not network. But kudos to Jonathan

  15. NBC can get practically anyone in the world to be a guest on Meet the Press. Yet here we are six months into Kristen Welker's stint as host and it's gone from her debut episode with Trump to showcasing Ronna as their new political contributor

Guess inviting the POTUS as guest would be? What too political? Political analysts are a dime a dozen. What are there a shortage of respected ones?

I hope guests across the board reject invitations to appear and boycott MTP

Besides Kristen was fine as a WH reporter but she's a crummy interviewer.

    2030?

I noticed that after I posted and edited that and a couple of other things. I got overly outraged by this

I think one of the things that really pisses me off about this hire is it comes on the heels of them dumping Mehdi's show and putting someone on NBC that has easily lied and spread conspiracy theories for over three years

    OMG, they hired Ronna McDaniel.

    Why???????????????????????????

I wonder if agreeing to make the big bucks NBC is probably paying her she had to agree to stop spreading the big lie and the rest of the BS she's been peddling since 2020.

Maybe this will be last nail in the coffin of the once illustrious Meet the Press

Well it's NBC so hopefully she'll never show up on MSNBC or I'll be diving for the remote.

But it does say something about how far NBC has fallen. The network of Meet the Press the longest running news show now completely unwatchable. And to think they fired Brian Williams for embellishing war stories

Moderators...I don't mean this to be political; so please don't punish me.   I just watched Joe bloviate about how much better off we are than we were four years ago. This is a subject that is discussed several times a week. At least.

I am not an Old Country Lawyer; I am on old retired librarian.  Joe - you, Donnie, Miss KYV, Elise, Jennifer P, etc. live insulated lives.   People are in sticker shock at the grocery store, car dealerships, cost of housing. So no, economically, many many people say they are not better off.  At least where I live.

It doesn't take a political analyst to see why many polls are where they are.

They might not be better off than they were four years ago but if they pay attention to what's planned if a new administration is in charge it'll scare the beJesus out of them
