  1. Yeah, that's the real question now. Julia vs. Kat, Julia vs. Meredith... Hopefully we will find out this week. I'm just hoping her cut was because of something glaringly horrible like not being able to dance down the field correctly. The reason just has to be something soooo bad for all of us to understand how Meredith got chosen over her... I read a snippet of Julia's resume and I was shocked at her prior accomplishments. That makes it so much more confusing that we have to endure Meredith's bungling, crying, etc., etc., and not get to enjoy Julia's dancing.
  2. Since I began watching these programs, for several years now, I always noticed that just a few of the rookie candidates were shown dancing, speaking, and even shown prominently sitting in the front on the floor. I even noticed the episode this year in the beginning when the girls were taught some DCC choreography and then the judges watched them on the large screen, the selected rookies were the first ones on the field. They were in front of ALL of the others walking out on to the field. That just doesn't occur by happenstance. There were others who were "ghosts" so to speak, as ClosetDCCFan said. I always wondered who these other girls were and why we never saw them. This year is no exeption with Julia. My theory now is that the girls really are chosen before camp. The DCC have scouts going to dance schools, colleges, etc. who actively search for girls to look at long before tryouts. That has to be the explanation for why certain girls seem to be given HUGE amounts of time to progress during TC (Meredith, Kat) and others are rapidly shown the door. This year the "ghost" (I like that term as it is really fitting) is Julia. No one posting here can figure out the true reason that she has been ignored, when it's obvious the guest choreographers have NOT ignored her. No one can figure out why such a horrible dancer such as Meredith was selected over Julia.
  3. Haaaaaa And for another tearful episode of "As the Meredith Turns" (if she doesn't forget...)
  4. This is funny! I've got the blondes down pat, it's some of the brunettes that I can't tell apart! Molly, brunette Rachel, Miranda, Madeline are the toughest! 😄 I need a list of the DCC in their groups, as well. I know it was listed by a poster, but I didn't write the page down to go back to find it.
  5. I didn't mean to imply that Kelli did the actual editing!! I just meant that they (probably Kelli and assistants) would certainly look at the program before it was to air to make sure the agreed upon story narrative was done to their satisfaction.
  6. Some of my current random thoughts: One item that is not discussed here much is when we are posting about what is shown on the CMT program, to remember that Kelli is an executive producer of the CMT program. She was instumental in getting the program started, and as part of the branding department, she works with Charlotte Jones Anderson. Charlotte is Vice President of Branding for the organization, etc., so they absolutely must have editing rights. I can't imagine that Charlotte would allow it any other way. This is comparable to film directors who often have "director's cut" rights. So when we get disgusted with something, like when Kelli seems mean, it has to be their decision to show that scene to keep the drama going. This past episode (or the one before) showed us a snippet that showed Meredith crying (again) with Kelli's voiceover saying "some of us will go home tonight." (my paraphrasing.) I looked at that and thought they just wanted us to think that Meredith was working sooooo hard to make the team and that it had not already been decided that she would make the team. Meredith drama 101. Also, does anyone remember Kelli saying in the scene where it shows Meredith in her office that they like Meredith, but time is almost up?? Meredith drama 102. Another item: In regard to Kelli and Judy not attending every single nightly practice - did anyone else notice the scene when Kelli came in and told the TCC that Evan Miller was going to give a class that night? She said something like, "Hi, everybody, it's good to see you all." Now if she was there every single night, then why would she address the TCC as if she had not seen them in awhile?? Just wondering.
  7. Something big has to happen to Julia for Meredith to take "her place" on the team. Did she break a leg?? Did she wear the wrong uniform or was she late to a practice?? Was she secretly seen with a player?? 😲 My conspiracy theory has not changed, and I feel it could have actually happened... that Meredith is a relative of someone in the Jones family or one of the Cowboys' main sponsors. No matter how attractive or technically trained she is, how else could she have realistically made this team on her own merits?? No way.
  8. Another totally confusing thought on WHYYYY they chose Meredith over Julia, etc. - a count of choreographer stickers given to most of the rookie candidates (I couldn't find Kelcey) before Evan Miller added his: Julia & Chandi 5, Lily & Lisa 4, Blonde Taylor, Kristen & Kat 3, Shania 2, and drum roll please - Madeline & MEREDITH 1. 😫
  9. I was rewatching the parts of the show with the choreographers and I started making a tally chart for every time CMT showed Meredith and/or Victoria. I stopped a couple of minutes into the first segment after I had already marked 13 times for Meredith. Ugh. Enough already.
  10. NO MORE CRYING SCENES!!!! I record the episodes to avoid the commercials and now I'm beginning to fast forward to avoid everything with Meredith... And the purpose of these were??? We know everything we need to about these TCC already, so show us more dancing!!! Do we care about facials??? Do we care about doggie playdates???
  11. I want to know wth Julia did that got her cut, while Meredith stayed. Ditto, ditto, ditto. OK, I am more convinced than ever that Meredith is one of the Jones' family's niece or other relative. Did anyone notice the huge smiles by Kelli and Judy as Meredith entered Kelli's office? Why do they love her so?? I'm getting sick and tired of her face and tears. Any of the other rookies are FAR better. And then Kelli's tears after talking with Meredith/Christina - I mean REALLY?? Tears?? REALLY?? - I think Shelly has told Kelli what the general public and fans like us, really feel about her, Victoria, and Meredith. Just knowing who has made the team and who got cut, makes me now know for sure this selection process is ultimately decided by other people (e.g.Charlotte) who are calling the shots.
  12. Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that Heather and Amy are always in the front/middle as well?
  13. OK, not many posts yet about the continuation of "The Meredith Show." I just would like to know which Cowboy big-wig's wife's second cousin twice removed best friend's daughter's next-door neighbors's uncle she is related?!? 😂 Certainly tongue-in-cheek, but really, even among all the Jalyn disappointment, CMT and TPTB cannot give us a break from Meredith. Whyyyyyyyyy?
  14. Like so many of you, I was SHOCKED after watching this episode that Meredith made the team...she was a favorite of mine until this week. Instead of "The Kat Show," this week it was "The Meredith Show." I can't figure out why CMT is only highlighting one candidate each week. It must come from the top for reasons we probably won't ever know. I always record the show so I can watch a second time. You always miss things from the first viewing, whether it is this show or a movie, for instance. Again, I was shocked at how bad Meredith was when viewed side-by-side to KaShara. Everyone that recorded this episode should watch that part of the show in slow motion and you will see what I mean. Horrible. How Melissa could be thrilled with Meredith's performance (remember the high five?) is beyond me. From what we have seen so far, Meredith and Kat were total disasters compared to most of girls left to be cut in future episodes. And all of the judges/choreographers so far have agreed with that. ANY of those other gals would have made much better alternates than Meredith or Kat!
  15. I have a request...this is my first season on this forum, and I am probably the only person on this forum who is not on Twitter or who uses Instagram, so I am having some difficulty with all of the abbreviations. I have figured out a few like IMO and TPTB, but if someone could please list some of the others (RBF, etc.) I would greatly appreciate it!! Thank you in advance!!
  16. This photo of the new group leaders must be their new individual pictures put together into one. That's why Amy's pose looks so different from the other 3. And I love Maddie's new picture with her longer hair!
  17. http://www.cmt.com/video-clips/02vcb5/dallas-cowboys-cheerleaders-making-the-team-a-tour-of-the-dallas-cowboys-cheerleaders-home-stadium There were some comments a page or so back about the DCC locker room. I viewed this video recently with Stadium Ambassador Phil Whitfield, Kelli, and a few cheerleaders. They do a 6 minute super quick tour of the stadium and begin in the DCC locker room. I thought it was very interesting and if you haven't seen it you probably will, too!
  18. I have watched this series since the very beginning and look forward to every episode each year. My biggest gripe is how CMT hones in on just a few of the candidates each season. Personally, I feel that we are being g***** from seeing all of the other candidates which would make the show far more interesting. I am already done with "The Kat Show" and so I'm watching the program delayed so I can zip through her "interviews." Honestly, I was sitting in total shock when they showed that totally scripted spiel in the salon with her getting a manicure. Yuck Like so many of you have stated, why is she being given the extra time to develop and other candidates not??
  19. I was glad to see a couple of posters respond to the posts that concentrated on just the "beauty" of the DCC and how many feel that this group does not match the "beauty" of past year's teams. I think the most forgotten part of being a DCC is the ability to be an ambassador for the Cowboy organization. Really, how many games are there in comparison to all of the other yearly events, interviews, podcasts, camps, personal and organization appearances, USO tours, etc., etc....?? CMT has shown many times Charlotte remarking about this important ability. Why do they place an importance on the interviews, for instance? How about avoiding talking about a 50 yard length field? Or avoiding not being able to name any current players? Or not knowing Cowboy Hall of Fame players? Or not knowing who actually OWNS the team?????? They are an important face of the team, and while their looks are definitely important, their intelligence and ability to speak as representatives of the entire organization is just as important. Remember when Kristi Scales, the Cowboys' sideline reporter, gave Christina a thumbs up for her great speaking ability during interviews and podcasts?? This could have been very important when the DCC team was finalized. We don't get to see all of the deliberations, unfortunately!! How much fun that would be!
  20. I've read so many comments here about Maddie. I adore her! She is a great dancer and truly has a unique look. She definitely is not one of the sea of blondes on the team! (I'm naturally blonde so I'm not putting blondes down!)
