  1. Tis the season for a binge watch! I just finished The Great British Bake Off ( I had to look online for S1 & S2) and now I'm 4 episodes into Luther (finally!).

2018 binges include Big Mouth, The Haunting of Hill House, Channel Zero & Sabrina.

The only shows I enjoy watching weekly are comedies. I think weekly viewing has enhanced my enjoyment of both Atlanta & Insecure (I love going to those forums after a new episode).

For New Year's Eve we like to binge Netflix comedy specials and start the year with laughter.

I thought this one was a little better than it's been lately. If I hadn't been on the treadmill I really wanted to rewind and write down that list of movies that Junior asked about -- where Dre and Earl immediately gave the "Yes, yes, yes, no, no..." etc to whether or not they can be considered black movies. I want to know which was which! (Though I have to say, what the hell is wrong with working at a movie theater? Why were they acting like that would be humiliating for Junior?)

The Color Purple, Ray, Glory, Ali, Django Unchained, Dream Girls, Coming to America & Amistad.

(Yes, Yes, No, No, No, No, Yes, Yes).

I hate the kitchen remodel a little more every episode. Not only because its too dark but its a reminder of the awful arc from last season.

  3. Penny Dreadful: City of Angels

Showtime is bringing back “Penny Dreadful,” but not in a way many fans might have expected.

Announced this morning, the network has officially handed out a series order for “Penny Dreadful: City of Angels,” a new follow up story that is said to be a “spiritual descendant” of the original series. The news comes over two years after “Penny Dreadful” came to an abrupt end following its third season finale, a choice which was said to have been creator/showrunner John Logan’s plan all along.

Now, the show’s new “City of Angels” story will take viewers into an entirely new time period and location, set within the same “Penny Dreadful” world.

Opening in 1938 Los Angeles, the show will focus on “a time and place deeply infused with Mexican-American folklore and social tension. It will be rooted in the conflict between characters connected to the deity Santa Muerte and others allied with the Devil, and will explore an exciting mix of the supernatural and the combustible reality of that period, creating new occult myths and moral dilemmas within a genuine historical backdrop.”

Production on “Penny Dreadful: City of Angels” will reportedly begin next year, but no premiere date or episode count have been decided upon yet.

    Damn it! I missed it!

It repeats on Tuesday @ 5pm. Be careful not to take a drink every time Middleton is mentioned, you'll be drunk in half an hour!

This movie was a whole lot of nothing. I wanted the thief to get caught not find love!

James Denton looks awful! I hope he isn't ill because he's thin and using too much spray tan. Bailee Madison looks great though.

Yes, thank you for informing the forum.  Source?

I saw it on the Hallmark channel promoting their Fall Harvest lineup.

Also, be aware that Christmas begins even earlier on Hallmark this year (Friday October 26th), so they might not repeat the Good Witch movie more than once.

  7. I just watched all 3 episodes and I don't think there's enough here for me to continue watching. I love the lead actress, her friend at the bakery and her mom but I don't care about the other plots or characters.  I also can't quite get a handle on the tone of the show. I'd actually prefer it to be more serious and less cartoon-y.  Maybe its because the show is on AMC I expected something different. I wonder if this was shopped to Lifetime or Bravo or even E!? Though I admit if the show was on any of those channels I never would've given it a second thought since I don't like any of their programming.

Maybe I'll do a late summer binge and FF to the Plum parts. I've never heard of Joy Nash but I'll definitely watch her in whatever she does next.

Tennis Channel is pissing me off so much! Really, we can't even see the final games of Halep/Kerber cuz we have to watch every moment of Rafa on court!

Does anyone know which semis NBC will be showing? It will be shown delayed at 11AM on the west coast and I am trying to figure out a way to watch both without getting spoiled.

I expect NBC to show the all American semifinal. I'm more excited for Halep/Mugu. I'd love to see Halep win but Garbine was on fire today.  I can't believe how much I still enjoy Sharapova losing!

Saw the end of Verdasco/Kokkinakis and the announcers were saying how heated it had gotten between the players. Something about Verdasco upset about Kokkinakis's dad was doing. Did anybody see what happened?

  10. CBS, Turner receive backlash for new March Madness Selection Sunday show format

The networks have decided to announce all 68 NCAA Tournament teams in alphabetical order — beginning with the automatic bids, then going to the at-large bids — at the beginning of the show.

...hosts and analysts will spend the remainder of the program's two hours revealing the tournament bracket, discussing the matchups and interviewing members from teams in the tournament.

  11. I loved this! This is how I was supposed to feel after seeing Wonder Woman (did someone say hype machine), but that movie was just okay. I'll definitely go see this in the theater again which I never do!
