NBC's Opening Ceremony Broadcast Edited Out 23 Minutes Of The Event, So Here's What You Missed
I was wondering what happened to the torch relay! I actually enjoy that part because you get to see different parts of the country and the cheering crowds.

Does anyone know what NBC cut for time?

The Directv Olympic app is showing it from 7-8 on NBCSN.
I hope it really comes on at 7, but I have to record the full 3 hour block of hockey or whatever sport is on before OI.

Does anyone know when Olympic Ice is airing? Is it on one of NBC's networks, or is it only an online thing? Will it be daily during the Olympics?
I've got it airing on NBC Sports Network starting Saturday between 5-8 pm ET every night. I have a feeling they'll spread it out over the night so I'll be DVR'ing.

Chris McKendry spoke with Tennys Sandgren today...
So it was a misunderstanding and he wasn't raised that way. Oh and he's a good Christian boy who deleted his twitter for a fresh start.
Whatever dude. Go Chung!

This season is so different but episode 3 seemed to get things on track after cleaning up some season 1 stuff. They got rid of the woman in red, Taka's mom & tossed Sabine in jail to free up some storyline space and I'm okay with all of that! Those stories moved too slow/were too vague for me. Are the green shoe people still a thing? Is the guy chasing Tess with them?
The best thing about this season is having all the leads working together (and sharing information!) and not searching for the boy.

Has Halmark always had a preview show for its monthly movies? They had one for Winterfest in January and it helped me decide that only one movie looked good (Frozen in Love). There's a Valentine's preview on Saturday @ 10pm.
I'd like to see more movies where the couple is already established. Moving in together and figuring out a routine, even decorating could bring some PG conflict. Ooh, It'll be called 'After the Wedding'! Or what about a movie for the 7 year itch where a couple has to find their spark again? I'll take anything over boy meets girl scenarios.

Mojo, are you enjoying Golic & Wingo or just watching out of habit? :) I couldn't get into it after Greenie left and gave up after the first week. Last year I started listening/watching Dan Patrick and I'm much happier!

I saw the Pinal County situation differently: I figured someone saw the kids riding their bikes but didn't see them running away. So all they know is the kids are gone & someone in the back seat took their bikes off the street. That would look suspicious to me. Like the cop said, "What kid leaves their bike in the street unless its something serious?" It also didn't help that the guy in the back seat got out of the car right before they were pulled over & the kids said the driver was driving erratically and scared them. He could've been under the influence. I'm with the cops on this one. They had a lot to sort out.

A few days ago Jim Courier mentioned that Halep couldn't come to terms with Adidas last year for a new contract so she brought all her gear online! I wonder if Adidas or someone else will step in if she makes it to the Final. I want her to win it all in her "Amazon" dress.
Speaking of gear, the pale Nike pink doesn't look good on most of the athletes.

Image problem? Some cities end their role in A&E's 'Live PD'
QuotePolice departments in Bridgeport, Connecticut; Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Streetsboro, Ohio, decided not to renew their contracts to be on the program since it premiered in October 2016 as some local government leaders concluded the national spotlight on criminal activity overshadowed the positive things happening in their hometowns.
Another department, the Greenville County Sheriff's Office in South Carolina, ended its run on the show in August, saying deputies needed a break from the cameras.
QuoteFeedback from most of the two dozen police departments that have appeared on the show has been positive, said Dan Cesareo, creator and executive producer of "Live PD."
Concerns about the show appear to be mostly political and not coming from police officials, said Dan Abrams, the program's host.

At the end today, when the new champ pointed at the old champ and said something, did anyone catch what it was?
I think he said "You were closer." She had some fun with her (wrong) answer & he didn't know it at all.

Venus Williams will not be charged in Florida fatal accident
The way the police and the media handled the reporting of the accident was so sloppy I'm not sure what would've happened without video evidence.

I also wonder why Dan and Tom are all dressed up tonight.
At the end of the show they said they dressed up for the holidays and it's the last episode of the season/year. New episodes the first week of January.

Well this warmed my cold Grinch heart! I may have teared up a little at the end but don't tell anybody.

Eh. The tone of the season didn't work for me and everyone was just too awful. Maybe if I didn't watch this during the holiday season I'd feel differently.
Now I need a Christmas movie to cleanse the palate.

I thought of a few folks in this forum when I saw this headline:
ABC: 'American Housewife' will stop mocking Connecticut city
QuoteABC says it will no longer include jokes about the Connecticut city of Norwalk in its sitcom "American Housewife" after an outcry from outraged residents and community leaders.

Margaret Wartime?! That entire conversation at border patrol was hilarious.
The rest of the show was just okay. I hate that Kieth is truly dead and not in a coma or something. I'm also not crazy about the Chantal character being involved in season 2. Hopefully in small doses because she's the worst!

Is the 'Madden view' a changeup or the future of football broadcasting?
QuoteNBC hasn't committed beyond Thursday night's game, and Gaudelli made clear that SkyCam's limited range will require some juggling with conventional sideline views. Perched about 15 feet above the field, and a few feet behind the quarterback, SkyCam will provide the primary angle for most plays. NBC will add graphics to display the down and distance, to help viewers absorb the change in depth perception, and explicitly note yardage gains and losses. It will also return to the traditional perspective for all third downs and most plays inside the 15-yard line.
I wish they'd show the standard view on the NFL Network the way ESPN does for championship games.

The PTI guys were complaining about Skycam today! Apparently it mimics a video game view to attract the young folk. lol. It's only for Thursday night games at the moment to test out. If the ratings keep falling expect more experiments in the future...

Lol, I don't like Leverett either but twitter seems to love the guy (& Flex). Brace yourselves because they'll be in studio next week. :)

The Countdown to Christmas has already begun. :( If you want a 'Good Witch' fix you'll need to find it on-demand.
The movie was ok, but if the characters had been more suspicious of the stranger in town it would've been better. Just think, Brandon and the sherrif could investage and Laurie is/was a journalist(?) so she could've had a connection too! If only the writers would try a bit.
I expect the show to be back in the Spring just in time for a Sam & Cassie (Sassie! lol) wedding. :)

My winners were Azerbaijan (they had a beautiful dark blue suede(?) coat), Italy (shiny midnight blue coat) & the Philippines (a lovely teal coat).
Losers: Slovenia & Bulgaria (bright green!), USA (hated those gloves and the sweaters were doing too much for me) & Germany was really disappointing (a pukey yellow for the men & green for the women?).
