And poor Avery Brooks didn't fare too well either in this second installment; he had a really cringe-inducing scene where he went on a tirade about Starfleet in front of Kira.
To be fair, I loved her, "Works for me" at the end of his speech.

Finally broke down and watched this On Demand. Overall, it was better than I feared it would be, which may be damning with faint praise.
Although what the Jim character was wrong, wrong wrong ... at the same time, I was wondering what I'd do if I was in his place. I'd like to think I'd be noble and self-sacrificing and all that, but to spend 50 or 60 years alone — and with a handy (albeit disgusting) solution to the problem so close at hand — I can't say I wouldn't be severely tempted to follow his course of action.
As for Aurora, I thought the movie did a great job at showing her anger at what happened (few actors do pissed off as well as Lawrence), but short-changed her journey to forgiveness. Like a poster said above, the third act seemed awfully rushed.
Overall, a decent, but not great, movie.

I know the producers saw something so compelling in Julianna Marguiles/Carol Hathaway they opted to have her survive the suicide she was scripted to succumb to, but I’m missing it. She’s fine, but that’s it.
The DVD extras state that Carol was supposed to die from the suicide attempt, but Steven Spielberg, who was executive producer in the first season, championed Margulies' character ... that's why Carol survived.

I loved Browder and Black in "Farscape," and I enjoyed it when they joined SG-1 full time. But the introduction of the B'Ori was a sin I could never forgive, which made Season 9 something of a wash for me.

"Be Our Guest," from Beauty and the Beast.
First time I ever felt like standing and applauding at the movies.

Billy Crystal and Debra Winger in Forget Paris. I like both, and Crystal had rom-con cred from When Harry Met Sally, but they just didn't work in this one.

No, apparently he's a complete ass IRL - Dwayne Johnson publicly called him out for being a disruptive, entitled diva on the set of F&F8.
Wow. Apparently, I need better information.

Vin Diesel ... Seems like a nice guy in real life, but on screen, unwatchable

With that in mind, it's been decades, and perhaps I would change my mind if I could bear to watch it again, but Citizen Kane was a bit underwhelming after all of the hype I had heard about it.
It had to be underwhelming, considering everybody considered it the greatest movie in the history of forever. Anything with that kind of label can't help but be a bit disappointing to a first-time viewer. Having said that, I didn't think it was that great, either.

This unabashed American will be seeing the movie, simply because I love the genre and I'm a history buff.

T'Pol sure does spend a lot of time mostly naked in that blue light chamber, doesn't she?
One thing this show did with great efficiency was finding excuses to Get Jolene Blaylock down to her skin

While that certainly would have been interesting, it sure would have been a different movie! :)

I had a thought this morning. I've heard it said that the porn industry was one of the strongest forces in the development of the internet. Maybe the porn industry was also the primary force in the development of androids. "We don't want mechanical, we want flesh and blood!" Basically, the staff were using the androids as sex toys.
That makes so much sense that I'm now depressed.

I was surprised with the Bernard reveal, although in retrospect, it makes perfect sense (for one thing, he is a decent guy, and most, if not all the humans, are assholes).
The most disturbing thing about it, to me, is that if Bernard is a 'bot, then just about everybody else can be a bot, too. OK, now I need to go sit in the corner and hug myself.

Yeah, an Arnie Vinick presidency would have been acceptable.
A Trump presidency will be a full term of Glenallen Walken.

All Episodes Talk: What's Up Doc?
in ER
Oh, "The Healers" ... I love that episode so very much, especially Benton's pep talk to Carter.
