I personally think it’s a toss up, Monte is losing to all 4 of them now that Brit is building a solo resume. Turner already has a better one so far plus the jury and both Taylor and Alyssa have the better social game and jury votes. Unless Monte spends the next 2 weeks showing something better and pull out a Maryanne to jury, he’s not winning. I love that it’s not a washout with these 5 and we have no clue, so thanks Michael.

Personally, I'm rooting for the all-women's F3 that Alyssa proposed last week, which Brittany & Taylor both were keeping in their pocket as a back up option to Michael.  I need Monte to take the shot at Turner this week and then for him to go next week.

I don't think there's any chance Monte fucks over Turner for Taylor this week. There's "in a perfect world, I'd like to have Taylor over Turner if I don't have to get any blood on my hands" and then there's, you know, actively fucking over Turner and getting blood all over my hands. I don't see it happening at all.

There will be blood on his hands no matter what.  Either he screws Taylor or he screws Turner.  And getting out Turner is getting out the last remaining comp threat.  It's a notch on his resume that he needs for F2.

He might not be able to beat Taylor. It's possible that he can, for sure, but I actually think he's going to struggle more than he even thinks. Taylor's story is damn good and she'll do a good job explaining herself. From the primary target throughout pre-jury to F2?

Yes, Monte could win against her, but it won't be as easy as he thinks it'll be. Jasmine said in her jury confessional that Taylor's in an excellent position. Michael is rooting for Taylor. Alyssa would vote for Taylor in a F2. Brittany would also vote Taylor in a F2 over Monte. I even think Indy would vote Taylor over Monte. And I think Joseph could vote Taylor over Monte as well.

Monte struggles to win against Taylor/Turner. It's not a guaranteed "he won't beat either", because he could, but I actually see a scenario where Taylor wins over Monte, ESPECIALLY if she convinces him to put up Turner this week over her.

I think it would probably come down to who wins F3 HOH in a Monte/Taylor scenario.  But, in the misogynistic BB world, there's no way Jasmine or Indy vote for Taylor over Monte, and I suspect Joseph would fall the same way.  Add in Turner, Terrance, and Kyle and there's the win for Monte.

But, in the short term, looking at this week, if I was choosing between Turner and Taylor, knowing that Turner has several comp wins versus Taylor's one, I'm booting Turner so that is one less person I have to compete against for veto next week.

A little late to the game since this was about 2 pages of posts ago, but Michael's rope DID break!

I remember watching the show and seeing it and thinking, did his rope just break?! But then the comp wasn't paused so I thought, nah. Then I come on here and read that the houseguests are saying it possibly broke. It definitely did.

It happens the first time Michael runs to try and plug in his cord. The part at the end of the rope that needed to be inserted into the hole broke off and fell on the ground.

I don't think that's the broken part he was talking about because I saw the same thing happen with Taylor's plug while she was unwinding it from the tower and she just shoved it back onto the end of her rope.

Brit is definitely on the block and throwing Taylor and Alyssa udb in her pitch to Monte. I think Alyssa is the 2nd but not confirmed yet. Ugh, I can’t watch Brit being Debbie Downer all week!

Good Lord...  Britt's gonna spiral so hard being on the block and knowing she's the most likely target this week, she's going to make everyone decide to leave her on the block and see her go because they're so exhausted by her.

I think Monte might be kind of hoping Turner ends up evicted this week with no blood on his hands. It’s tough because Monte kind of needs Turner but he’s also a bigger threat to win than Brittany or Alyssa.

At this point in the game, you need to be willing to get blood on your hands.  If he wins veto and he wants Turner gone, then he needs to use it and take the shot again.  And, if he does, I'll have no problem with him winning, because, hell, even last night, when they got the shot to take out Michael, Monte had to shake Turner out of a half brain dead stupor about the need to get rid of him right then.

We’ll see now. Honestly, from where I sit  the only guy totally into a bro down has been Turner. I’m curious how this week works out.

Oh, no, Monte has been ENTIRELY in the bro down most of the season every chance he's gotten.

I fully expect Brittany to go this week.  Both Turner and Monte have 3 competition wins at this point, vs. Taylor's 1, Alyssa's 0 and Brittany's 1.5.  Neither of them are worried about making a case at F2 against any of the women, but there's no way Monte is turning against Turner right now.  He should, because he can't play for HOH next week, but he might be banking on winning the F4 POV to keep himself safe.

I thought Brittany grew up in an affluent (but all white) suburb of Atlanta. That's what always threw me about her whole "I went to NYU and saw people of colour for the first time!" crazy eyed bullshit because YOU LIVED IN FUCKING ATLANTA. I may be from a far flung corner of Canada (okay, not really, I'm right near Vancouver) but even I know that there's a rich black history out there. Did she just never leave her house?

I could be wrong - I spent a very boozy dinner toasting to the Queen and joking about King Charles's ears on our $20 bill.

I don't know if I had that impression from Brittany's conversation.  I'm sure she met plenty of black people growing up in Atlanta, but if she grew up in an affluent, mostly white suburb of Atlanta then I could believe that she probably didn't really interact with black people as her peers or equals in life.

I attended a small, private woman's college in Virginia and knew plenty of rich girls from Atlanta, Nashville, and the rest of the South.  We had plenty of black staff members, but no one on the faculty or the administration, save maybe one Residence Director.  All of the black people were security, maintenance or dining hall - in other words, the 'help.'  Yes, we interacted with them, but I can't say that we really got to know them as people, and we certainly didn't share the same lived experiences.

Chances are, that's the world Brittany was coming from - and going to NYU would have been a huge reality check for her.  I'd say that her beliefs were probably challenged on a daily basis like never before.  That's the context I understood her to mean when she was saying that - not that she, literally, had never seen a POC before NYU.  What she knew about black history was probably limited to broad brushstrokes - maybe a class field trip to MLK Jr National Historic Park, but not much beyond that.

  9. Going into this season, I can't say that any of us would have predicted anyone but Alyssa in this F5 and that's only because she's the pretty, white girl who was going to get caught up in a showmance that carried her to the end.

And we’re at cats. HOH. I’ll catch y’all on the other side, because I am going to sleep!

I need to sleep too!  My diehard figure skating fandom thinks that I might need to wake up at 1am to watch a junior international competition live from Latvia.  I haven't decided whether or not that's happening or if I'll sleep a bit later.

Today has been a monumental day between this DE and the Queen's passing.

It sounds like during the commercial Michael really laid into Turner about being a bad representative for the LGBTQ community. This is just me on the outside looking in so maybe Michael has a point, but it seemed like a real dick move on Michael's part.

100% dick move and right in line with the way he used the Kyle convo to his best advantage.  He really showed what a manipulative, calculating asshole he is.

Brittany is shattered.  She has no idea where to go from here now that she's no longer playing for 2nd place.

Also, I think Alyssa drops Brittany/Taylor and joins up with Monte/Turner, which...blech.

I don't.  She's not playing for 2nd place any more than anyone else and with 0 comp wins, she knows she can't be sitting next to Monte or Turner, who have had much better jury management than either Taylor or Brittany.

Brittany is just upset because she realizes everyone was ratting her out to Michael.

Well, that's her own damn fault.  And I'm glad of it.  She was playing a rat game, especially this week and it was absolutely horrible.  Plus, she was arrogant as hell every time Michael won saying "we, we, we" when it was all Michael dragging her along.

  13. Brittany was wrecked.  She's got a LOT of clean-up to do this week in the aftermath of Michael's eviction plea.  She's going to be useless for the next HOH comp later tonight, I'm sure.

I don't think Alyssa wins if she is sitting at F2.  Much as I think Terrance absolutely hates Taylor, I think he actually meant it when he said he would vote for a POC sitting on the block at F2, so if it winds up being Taylor v. anyone but Monte, she'd have his vote.

These fools better be aiming to take the shot at Turner this coming week though, now that he has the most comp wins of anyone left in the house.

  14. Oh wow!  Michael tried to tell Turner he was safe next week if he "didn't do this."  Dang.  So, the question is - would Michael have really honored the Founding Fathers or would he have taken that shot at Turner next week had anyone else won POV and kept noms the same?

Monte won a competition and no ball was involved.

I'm more than a little surprised.  I thought Michael or Taylor had this one on lock, but they probably wasted valuable seconds trying to make it a couple of times before Monte tried even once with the rope he'd unwound.

Monte's taking Alyssa down - and it sounds like he and Turner are making the move on Michael!

  16. And he follows that up with "I gotta do a Daniel" for his exit!  What an ass.  Good riddance!

The remaining HGs were so unimpressed with Terrance's no-hug exit from the house.  And, they were looking at the clock, figuring out how much time was left in tonight's live broadcast.  Oh, they're gonna be shocked when Julie calls them back into the living room in about 6-7 minutes.
