I prefer episodes where the presenters are showing a product or service that the audience may be interested in buying or supporting. Lately it’s all people who want to become billionaires by selling some unnecessary tech to businesses that will make my life decidedly worse or less convenient.

The explanation is that he’s the typical guy who has always assumed women would be the ones to take care of it, whether via birth control pills or an IUD, etc. He said something about having always been with women who were on the pill. And apparently he doesn’t think condoms as birth control is a reliable method. But, in his mind, why would he need to learn about any other kinds of birth control since those have nothing to do with him? It’s honestly just great commentary on the lacking sex education in this country and how society puts all the onus on women to figure this stuff out. And then we let men make all the decisions about reproductive rights, but I digress.

I heard him say it was induction, but induction is just a way of heating— it’s not a style of cooking. Like you said, is the robot going to stir your food if you’re making a stir fry? Or even just so that the ingredients don’t just sit there simmering. If you have to chop ingredients anyway, what dummy can’t just dump them in a pot and walk away? The robot really saves a person virtually nothing.
And as much as Lori asks very dumb questions most of the time, her baked potato question was meant to point out that people don’t always want a bowl of junk for dinner and that thr robot’s menu is severely limited.-

So I’m not even sure I understand what the robot chef was doing. It measures a bunch of ingredients and dumps them all in a cooker? What kind of cooker? Is it a pressure cooker? A pot of boiling water? Those are literally the easiest forms of cooking, so those aren’t the cooking methods that need robot replacement (not to mention, who wants a rice bowl for dinner every night?). It’s the ingredient prep (dicing, slicing) that people hate. It’s the multi-step recipes that use a million bowls but taste good that people would prefer to avoid. This machine solves neither of these problems. And like Lori said, what if I want a baked potato? Or a steak? Or lasagna?

The skateboard with brakes is a great idea for new riders who are learning to skate and whose parents worry about their kid careening down a hill at breakneck speed. It’s like training wheels or the brakes on a kid’s bike.
i was familiar with Fishwife before the episode and her products (as well as the packaging/branding) are excellent. It’s a premium product and the prices are in line with that. It’s not meant for making tuna fish sandwiches— it’s for dishes where the fish flavor and oiliness is the point. It’s not for everyone but the Spaniards have understood it for a very long time.

Whereas I think it was just as good as Season 2. Different strokes, etc. I’m sure opinions on it will depend on things like personal experiences, affection towards the actors (or lack thereof), and agreement or disagreement with the messaging. I personally thought Juno Temple did a great job being someone I wanted to root for and I found the Sin Eater guy way less annoying than David Thewlis in season 3 with his interminable speechifying.

I’d rather see a show where the women go on a luxury girls’ trip and watch their exploits. They were all much more interesting than Gerry and his Aw Shucks personality. Plus they deserve it after having to sleep in bunk beds.

Gerry really had no business declaring his love for multiple women on the show. It’s been a long time since I’d watched the Bachelor, but I don’t remember others going that far with the contestants— I even remember interviews where main Bachelors said the show told them not to reveal who they plan to pick to their dates before the finale moment or say “I love you”. But Gerry is saying “I love you” to 3 women, telling Leslie she’s “the one” and making plans with her, telling Teresa he’s falling for her, etc. And since none of the women are comparing notes, they think he’s only telling one of them those things. He lead Leslie on and he lead Faith on and that’s crappy. He’s old enough to be able to control himself from doing that, but instead chose to constantly vomit out his feelings no matter how fleeting. Even without the HR story, that makes him a scumbag to me who does not give a damn about anyone else’s feelings.

I’m no fan of Stacey but I thought she was perfectly kind at the altar. She was basically saying “Not yet”. Which is totally reasonable. And she didn’t do it in an embarrassing way or a cruel way, and it even sounded like she wanted to keep moving forward with their relationship (whether that’s a good idea is another issue, but I digress). Yet Izzy acted like she told him to go kick rocks. So dumb.

I don’t think the guest shark was voicing her own opinions about nutritional content on packaging. She was saying younger people now see the focus on calories as a part of toxic diet culture (which, it is) and their marketing won’t work on them. Gen Z cares more about health than weight, and sees the notion of pushing “diet food” as toxic. I wish I’d grown up that way too but unfortunately I was part of the Snackwells generation. While people may watch calories for health reasons, those same people shouldn’t be eating artificially sweetened diet chocolate. They’re better off just eating less actual chocolate. And Halo Top is disgusting.

Call me a monster but I was ok with the pilot being killed since this whole thing was his fault in the first place. If he hadn’t opened the cockpit at the threat of his mistress being shot (and literally beat his copilot in the face with a metal pitcher to do it), they could have ended this whole thing at minute one. So, sorry dude. Be better.

Maybe it makes me a jerk but I was so happy to see Daniel Gil (who my husband and I call Kenny G-sus. Say it out loud if it helps) get beaten. I know a lot of the participants on this show are ultra-religious and all that, but his Kingdom Ninja nonsense really rubs me the wrong way.

This was incredibly dumb and, based on the answers above from some of the writers, so poorly planned out. And way too much stuff that made no sense. So many questions:
Why wouldn’t Luke’s dad just have Brent say that Luke tripped and fell off the dock instead of launching a whole investigation? Why did they bother making Megan pregnant? How did the sheriff not notice a camera pointing directly at the place Luke’s body was found? Why did I watch all this?I guess at least Luke’s shitty dad might have some comeuppance. But also, don’t try to make me feel bad for Brent who’s a complete garbage person.

So the bullet grazed Luke’s ear and yet the police described him as having been “shot” after they found his body in the water? Unless he gets shot again, that’s a bunch of nonsense. It’s highly unlikely that a medical examiner would determine that his ear wound was from a bullet rather than from a fish (or other marine animal) who chomped on it after he drowned. No bullet, no bullet hole, no gun powder, blood washed away, and I’m sure that bandaid would have come off pretty quickly in the water. The writers on this show did literally no research and gave no actual thought into how anything works.

So, Tayo was totally fine with the system until a single incident where a pastor was tased in his church? Tons of people getting wrongfully arrested and maybe killed for years based on AI predictions but that’s what it took for him to get upset about it? Then the system actually impacts someone he knows (the FBI classmate played by Jake McDorman who basically received no airtime) and he’s ready to take it down. Again, totally fine with all of it until he feels directly affected. And even after the system is finally taken down (which was way too easy), he’s still giving interviews somewhat defending the program for applying injustice equally (while not mentioning that high-powered people were actually excluded from suspicion). We agree that Tayo was a villain and not a hero, right? The show understood that, right?

So, I looked away for one second and suddenly Isabella had a gun. Where did she get it from all of the sudden ? Had she brought it with her to the party? I couldn’t bring myself to rewind and check since this was all such a mess.
And I absolutely agree that this need for a tortured confession that Luke kissed Isabella is an insane overreaction and not realistic at all. A normal teenage girl would have publicly dumped Luke in front of his friends to embarrass him. The writers of this show live in an alternate universe where sex ruins scholarships and drugging and tying up a guy is a normal reaction to him lying about trying to kiss someone else.
I do need this show to somehow end with Luke’s dad and brother ruined or incarcerated because what a couple of shitheads.

The “legal reason” excuse was a lie. Jocelyn objected to Dyanne doing the song. When Dyanne gets on the elevator to leave, she says something like “It was Jocelyn, wasn’t it?” I guess it was another indicator that Joss is back in charge of the world or whatever.

The first 20 minutes of this mess was basically a karaoke strip club and I couldn’t understand why any of those executives just sat there and listened. The blonde girl in her underwear has a nice enough voice but the Dennis Rodman guy sounded like a poor man’s Maxwell with all his falsetto warbling. But apparently we’re supposed to think it was good? Ok, sure.
And the scene of the executives cackling about “we sure ruined that guy’s life, ha ha” was something out of Austin Powers. Oh noes! A negative article about some guy no one has ever heard of in Vanity Fair! What sweet revenge!This was all so stupid.
Also, Jocelyn gives off the vibes of someone who hasn’t washed her face for 3 weeks.-

Does The Weeknd have blackmail photos of some important HBO execs? That’s the only explanation for how they not only made this, but re-made it to make him happy and then actually aired it. I intended to stop watching but then decided to try hate-watching it, but even that’s too boring.
Is there even a plot at this point? I honestly don’t even understand what message or point of view the show is trying to present. And I can’t imagine a world where someone as devoid of charisma as Jocelyn is a star. She has 2 modes: crying and naked.

I don’t think we were supposed to see him as the only victim or that he was too kind and considerate. He was an extremely damaged, self-hating person who was conflicted between his fear and anger about being stalked and his pleasure at being desired and made to feel important by Martha. He hated her but he missed her. And by the end, he was able to recognize that Martha was also a victim of her life as well and that the two of them weren’t so different.
