Me too! I liked Amanda from day one and I liked the song, even if the autotune was a bit overwhelming.
Amanda (with Kat and Kelcey) is just what the squad needs, with all of those dancers without glam or looks.
There are enough Brennan’s on the team already, and with the daparture of hard hitting Lacey and KaSexy there is really a big deficiency on glamorous and great looking dancers on the squad.
It is so easy! One look and you know whether they’ve got it or not. One look.
The routines are great and all but if only a limited amount of dancers are good enough go do them, the routines should be changed to accomodate the dancers that are needed.
DCC should be about dancers like Ashton Torres, Brittany Evans, Mia Greenhouse, Maggie Rouse, Amy Trader, Abigail Klein and yes, Kalyssa Singleton.

Her high kicks are truly effortless, she never takes a bad photograph, she is well spoken and intelligent. She’s got it all. Hell, she could be in the legendary 2011 squad!

I vote for Meredith and Lily. Not sure about the other ones. Breelan was one of my favorites before I actually saw her at practice on the show. I haven’t liked Taylor’s look in pictures so far.
As long as Amanda, Kat, Kelcey, Kirsten, Lisa and Shaina make it, I am happy.
I would cut Taylor Pedersen and Julia Fife solely based on their underperformance of photogenics. There are enough great humanitarians on the team already, who have to be photographed from a certain angle on a certain time of day with Saturn descending.
I mean, come on, Ashton Torres, Abigail Klein, Nicole Bulcher, where art thou?

I liked the 'Good Legacy'-concept! I also thought Madeline was sweet.
It isn't a surprise since she got together with Meredith Madden and Lily to listen to Melissa Rycroft's pseudo-psychology talk but it is none the less very unfortunate and sad. I hope she can make it next year!

If you want to recruit the best of the best and have a truly diverse pool of candidates, you need to recruit heavily and widely. If they already are recruiting at HBCUs, they're not doing a good job and need to rework their tactics (I can't recall any black DCC graduating from an HBCU since I started watching in season 3). Kelli has mad respect for marching bands, and many college black marching bands are the shit--and I know she knows this--and it's with these bands that a lot of very talented, disciplined, well-educated women of color are trained and can be found. Send some black DCC alumni to recruit at these schools!! And surely there are Latinx dance troupes and such in Texas that they can reach out to to try to draw in more Latinas, etc.
Speaking of recruiting, like others have mentioned before, I'd really like to hear/see more about the scouting and prelims free-passes the DCC do to recruit. I recall that Sydney Durso (one of my faves even if she's not a forum fave!) and Katie Marie (now Cherry, another of my faves) both were invited to audition and got to skip round one auditions. But I didn't learn that on the show and it would be an interesting thing to see from behind the scenes after so many years.

Because of the technical distinctions involved in defining "race" vs. "ethnicity," there is confusion among the general population about the designation of Hispanic identity. Currently, the United States Census Bureau defines six race categories:
- White or Caucasian
- Black or African American
- American Indian or Alaska Native
- Asian
- Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander
- Some Other Race
According to census reports, of the above races the largest number of Hispanic or Latinos are of the White race, the second largest number come from the Native American/American Indian race who are the indigenous people of the Americas. The inhabitants of Easter Island are Pacific Islanders and since the island belongs to Chile they are theoretically Hispanic or Latinos. Because Hispanic roots are considered aligned with a European ancestry (Spain/Portugal), Hispanic/Latino ancestry is defined solely as an ethnic designation (similar to being Norse or Germanic). Therefore, a person of Hispanic descent is typically defined using both race and ethnicity as an identifier—i.e., Black-Hispanic, White-Hispanic, Asian-Hispanic, Amerindian-Hispanic or "other race" Hispanic.

I don’t think so, and this must be a point of concern for K&J.
Specially concidering how they are managing Jalyn, who is definitely, pound by pound, one of the best on the squad.

Marshall apparently cares enough to be posting lengthy explanations about choices others have made (he is not an executive producer on the show), so this is his own opinion. I respected the man in the past, and I respect him now. It’s not that he is agreeing with genocide! He just has an opinion!

The instagram post is from idillionaire, who is a writer of self help books. The post is not necessarily about a big loss and how to overcome it, but more about being confident and not to stress (just paraphrasing it).
I do not think that it is an indication of Kat's being cut just that she has to, in the words of psychoanalyst and philosopher Melissa Rycroft, and I quote 'stay out of her head', unquote.
Also, Kat is too good of a dancer, too pretty, too much of a character to be cut. I honestly believe that. I mean, if they kept Morgan for that same reason (minus good dancing) then they sure as hell want to hold on to Kat!

Well, I can report that Victoria has kept her weight in check and is looking good. Whatever one thinks about Victoria, these are facts.

Alanna Tarango is on my ‘Love’ column. Let there be no doubt about that. Her smile is an eternal well to my heart. She never makes mistakes and everything she does is positive. A little Miss Sunshine!
No one can describe my amazement of how great she looks now compared to last season. It is other-worldly!
It cannot be only her eyebrows. I looks more that something is different with her eyes and her nose.
