S03.E03: Good And Evil Braided Be

There have been a few mentions that Justine is reminiscent of Claudia from Interview with the Vampire, but I think her character is supposed to be the Justine, from the book written by the Marquis De Sade. Hence the S&M style intro to her character. Or maybe I'm over thinking it. -
Agreed. On a side note FiveByFive, when I read your post, all I could think of was Mean Girls "Stop trying to make Fetch happen", lol.

Did anyone else get a Scientology vibe during Ward's higher purpose speech to Coulson? He was almost doe eyed in his blissful serenity. You could totally pinpoint the exact moment it sunk in.
-
Looks like I got what I asked for. Kung Fu Grip Coulson literally Crushed. Ward's. Soul. Complete with Mic...I mean Hand Drop! But, then again, Ward is now VoldeWard. Be careful what you wish for, etc. Happy I called it in "Closure ". Off to play the lottery now.

I did enjoy the episode even though I had already guessed that John was the killer. What I didn't expect was that March keeps Drildo away and that he is something that was conjured up by Sally. It was sort of a throw away line, but now I want to know exactly what that thing is and where it came from. What's the deal with that thing? He's kinda like a forgotten little brother of the Cenobites from Hellraiser. I can hear Pinhead now. .."Uh, who's that guy? Oh, don't pay any attention to him, he's my perverted little brother Drildo, who's visiting from LA. He's a total pain in the ass, just ignore him. Now, where are you hiding my puzzle box thingy?" And, as always, I love March. Evan Peters is so much fun as this character. I also want to say I kinda got the feels when John noticed Kathy Bates's character. The look of happiness that someone actually noticed her and knew her name mixed with the relief of not having to carry on the charade anymore was perfectly expressed in her face.Well done Ms. Bates. Oh, one more thing...Now that John and Hypodermic Sally are officially a couple, can we call them 10cc? -
I want Coulson with Kung Fu Grip to Crush.Ward's.Soul.

"My Man" Sorry, but I squeed like a 12 year old fan girl when Abbie said that to Crane. It's the little things, lol. Who knew that two words could make me so happy. Obviously, I need to get a life.

So Hook is a Dark One now? That's just GREAT! All i can say his he better be dressed in some incredibly hot and sexy leather Dark One gear, or this new twist is really going to suck for me.

I don't remember Bartholomew in Murder House. I remember the Infantata (Thadeus Montgomery) and Beauregard, Constance's mongoloid son (her words- not mine) that was kept in the attic, but no Bartholomew. Can someone refresh my memory? Thanks!

I think the only reason Andrew/Lash hasn't hurt Daisy is because she is his best chance to find Lincoln, who may be the one Inhuman who has the "power" to kill Lash with his ability. Once Lincoln is out of the way, Lash will probably turn on Daisy too. Lash and Lincoln seem to share that electricity trait. -
That. Was. Epic . Can't wait for next week. I must have re watched that fight 3 times so far. And now...I'm gonna watch it again. The music playing in the background was perfect. So well done. Lets hope the snail like pace of the previous episodes is finally over. Get it.. snail like pace? Yeah, probably a bit much, lol.

I don't see it so much as murdering Brona, as it was a Euthanization. Complete with the added bonus of a body for Caliban. Yes, it is murder if you want to split hairs. But, his initial intent was to help Brona for Ethan. She was going to die anyway. Why not end her suffering now. Its not like she was going to get any better. My point is that he was ending her suffering, sheltering Ethan from having to watch her suffer any further, and disposing of a body for a friend. He was multi tasking. That Victor...He's a problem solver. I would have rather him obtain a body under those circumstances than if he were to just kill some random person or dig up a body from the cemetery. Besides, in Victorian times, selling cadavers was nasty business. Most cadaver brokers were either killers or grave robbers. Brona met no violent end, her suffering was ceased and to an extent, so was Ethan's. Now, as far as having sex with a reanimated corpse- I agree, its fucked up. But hey, haven't we all had sex with someone at least once, with whom one would think was "corpse like" in bed? You know, aside from the warm skin and breathing? Just me? Oh well, que sera sera.

I want in that sandwich. I just don't want to be turned into charcuterie afterward. I noticed that too attica. I also noticed that his bow tie was ever so slightly askew in that scene too. May be an accident, but you never know. My first thought in seeing Hannibal in the bow tie was "His tie is a little crooked...huh, weird". Its not by much, but it seemed out of place. Then again, it could just be the camera angle and I was wrong. I will have to watch it again. I agree, Hannibal is playing wild and loose with his clothing in Europe. I like it, but I love him in a good plaid suit too. I wonder what the Wendigo will be wearing this season.

The subtle things that Gillian Anderson brings to the character of Bedelia impress me so much. The nervous shaking of her fork as she is eating her oyster...she is so flawless in showing her underlying terror. Just enough fear rising to the surface without arising suspision. Yet, she still remains a willing participant in Hannibal's world. Its mind blowing and impressive. She is truly the perfect prototype for which will eventually become as Hannibal's future protégé. Sorry can't spoiler tag . I am typing on a small tablet. If someone wants to edit that item for me, i would apreciare it. Unless we can assume that is common knowledge. I did try to put the tags in the old school way. Hope it worked. Thanks! ETA : Yay! Old School worked!

I don't think we did. I was happy, considering his situation with the witches, that he added to the protections of the house. I love Lyle too. He did a fine job of acting equally scared. Especially in front of the mirror, making sure the reflection was him, and then covering the mirror.

S02.E04: Evil Spirits In Heavenly Places

The witches keep referring to him as something completely different though, which is Lupus Dei. According to Lyle- and I could be wrong here- when he was with Ethan in the Museum Archives, Lyle described the wolf pack on the coat of arms that Ethan found as a a wolf pack of protectors or servants of God, hence the "Dei" in Lupus Dei. They are a Wolf of God. I believe thinking of Ethan as just a Werewolf or Wolfman is oversimplifying it. The show may not be playing within the same rules as the werewolves of legend. I also don't think a full moon has anything to do with Ethan's turning in to a wolf. If that were the case, the witches would probably just do what they need to do when the moon is not full. Problem solved. Ethan can probably turn anytime he wants to, he just doesn't realize it yet. Ethan currently thinks he's a werewolf and not something altogether more powerful or significant. As we saw in the Mariner's Inn, he was able to turn on his own because he himself was in danger. But that is completely different than turning into a wolf save Vanessa. If he turns into a wolf, then his secret is out. And since he is not really sure what he is yet, he doesn't want his cover blown. Kind if like Harry-Potter-underage-magic-accidents. Ethan turned under the stress of a threat. He just can't fully control it or remember anything about it. Hence, the black outs. I do think that he wants to share his secret with Vanessa though. He needs to get over the man angst and fess up to her. She probably can shed some light on the "Lupus Dei" thing. -

Daddy waxworks is going to start keeping freaks in the basement. Cali-Clare is really not going to like that. I love that Lavinia found a beautiful way of describing Cali-Clare 's eyes. Turmeric is a lovely shade of yellow. i truly enjoyed this episode. The dress shop scene was sweet. And I think I might start shipping the friendship of Sembene and Ethan. Especially if there is going to be cake involved. -
Hey Mick Lady ! You made my day! Big wave from one Gunner mommy to another :)!

My cat is named Gunner. He was in the bed with me watching the show and I could swear he gave me this look like "is not!" I had to laugh. For the record, I did not name the cat, my ex did. Cat stayed, the ex is gone. I got the better end of the deal :).
