I really enjoyed watching the show about the Alabama family with sextuplets, but I was relieved that they decided against further filming.
TLC cancelled Sweet Home Sextuplets, it wasn't the family's doing. I believe the only TLC family who chose on their own to stop filming was the Hayes family of Table for Twelve.

What is it about TLC and the reality genre which causes so many reality families to fall apart?
Isn't the question "What is it about families that leads them to selling their children's privacy to TLC?" Healthy families - with very rare exceptions - don't agree to appear on reality tv.

Is that normal behavior for a mother?
If the child's father is handling it, why not?

I assume the family was on their way to church? Which is a great place to take an infant whose age is still being measured in hours.

If you mean what was the cause of death, that has been confirmed. If you mean the deeper "what happened", that is, the underlying reason, I doubt we strangers will ever know. Nor are we entitled to.

Janelle has confirmed.
Dammit, what kind of world do we live in that grieving parents have to make announcements on social media to satisfy the masses?

God, I hate the corruption of the verb "to grow".

I just did some online training for work, which was clearly written by ChatGPT. The grammar made me want to scream (as well as click "none of the above" for every question, since neither the questions nor answers were written correctly.)

I'm just amused that Snake from Degrassi regularly appears as a crash investigator.

I recently heard a person say "Valentimes Day". I thought I misheard, but she said it 2 more times.
I wanted to ask "How do you spell that? When you see greeting cards in the store, do you wonder why Hallmark made a spelling mistake?"

I'm a horrible flyer, yet I watch a lot of Mayday/Air Disasters. I probably shouldn't.

At least one of the Klein kids also had hearing issues, which impacted their speech. I think it was Will who needed tubes in his ears.
The Klein kids are also a perfect cautionary tale for families on reality tv; they reached a point where they were clearly showing off for their audience, and the parents seemed afraid to discipline them on camera, so they were turning into little terrors. Getting them off tv was the best thing that could have happened.

Imagine one of them trying to give the other a consoling hug. Those knockers knocking together will send them both flying backwards.

the kids' lack of agency in making decisions about participation in filming,
Does that mean Tori won't be posting their entire childhoods in her Instagram, TikTok, etc in order to further her influencer career?

This is the first time in her life Meri has dated. She will learn that you can spend time with one man, or several men, for brief periods and then move on if you wish. Amos was simply sorbet.

I have no friends on Facebook. My profile is a pseudonym, and the page is completely blank - I never post anything, including reviews or check-ins that might reveal my physical location.
I still get "people you may know" suggestions. Some of them are connected to people whose profiles I have viewed, and others appear truly random.

Chris lives on the west coast, and likes to travel by motorcycle. It's not surprising that NYC has never been his chosen vacation destination.

You also don't have to join Reddit in order to read it. That way, no matter how worked up you get, you know you can't post in response.

Meri runs an actual Bed and Breakfast. Multiple people sleep in the house, perhaps share bathrooms, and are served breakfast by the host. Also, Meri didn't start it, she bought an existing business.
AirBnb is a plague of locusts, and played upon the term "B & B/Bed and Breakfast" when creating its name.

I Need a Recipe!
in Food & Drink
Suggestions, please. I'm making some food to drop off to friends with a new baby, and was all set to make a turkey chili - hearty for our cold weather, can be frozen and reheated for later. She's not nursing, so I don't have to be mindful of spices, but then I remembered she has a tree nut allergy and I should double-check whether any spice might be a problem. Turns out, cumin should be avoided because it's often contaminated. Cumin features heavily in all of my chili recipes (a tablespoon in the recipe I was planning to use), so it can't be omitted and the suggested substitutions don't really do it.
What can I make for them with the ground turkey I bought? I don't have eggs, so meatballs/meatloaf are no go.
