  1. Ugh. The virtue-signaling in this episode was over the top. Take it down a notch, show. We get it - you're woke!

Beth's mom gets smugger and smugger every episode. Smug, smugger, smuggest. She's unbearable - lighten up, judgy-face!

Seeing Sophie again made me realize that Kevin has a type: skinny needle-nosed blondes. Just like him!

Also, who subscribes to print fan rags anymore? I'm guessing just the characters in this show. So what ... six people?

I had no idea for FJ....I said "Monarchy" thinking they represent the Establishment 🙂  I liked the girl's answer of FedEx...she was going to keep going with that, lol

I said "monarchy" too. DH got it right.

  3. What a sad case. 😔 May her family find some peace.

That lawyer is extremely pleased with himself, isn't he? I only hope the prosecution has more (much more), otherwise there will be no conviction.

The one person I think may not belong on this list is Andrea Yates. I think she was legitimately a victim of postpartum psychosis. I don't have the heart to go back and revisit her story, but I saw it on a show a few years ago, and even her now-ex-husband, while devastated, doesn't think she's evil. He thinks she was sick.

What really struck me was when they interviewed her in prison, she basically said, "I deserve to be here after what I did." It was heartbreaking.

Yes, Andrea was a deeply sick person when she killed her children. The signs of post-partum psychosis were clearly evident, but no one intervened to help her or her kids. Heart-breaking.

What?  That's akin to saying "She asked for it".

Well, of course she asked for it!!! As a matter of fact, she signed a consent form that legally states "she asked for it".

Epidural needles are big honking needles!!!

I’m glad they didn’t put Griffin Dunne’s name in the opening credits. I would have been satisfied knowing the baby was named after Uncle Nicky and knowing he would be glad about that. Seeing him and the “how about that!” was extra special.

Actually, the needles itself isn't large. The needle is only used to puncture the skin and underlying tissue. The long piece you saw (in ridiculously dramatic fashion ala "This Is Us") is a cannula that serves to guide the very small tubing (through which the anesthetic is run) in place. Neither the needle nor the long cannula remain in place. Just the wire-thin tubing.

    Hope that makes sense,

Retired Labor & Delivery RN (who won't go into all the other unrealistic delivery scenes we saw tonight.)

  7. OMG. This is the most idiotic true crime episode I've ever seen! These people are beyond STUPID for being taken in by this guy. I guess it takes a MASSIVE ego to turn a blind eye to that sea of red flags.  And going public with her silly behavior demonstrates what an adolescent drama queen this woman is.

I'm betting if she had gotten her princess wedding, she would EVEN TODAY be defending Dr. Psychopath against the charges he's racked up for murdering people. All the while obsessing over what to wear to court, no doubt.

Are we supposed to feel sympathy for this narcissistic woman? Or regard her as some sort of hero? And what's with the inflatable lips?

As soon as they said profiling, I was like, duh, but I don't think I understood the question when it was asked.  i had no idea what they were going for.

Same here. My husband and I think many clues have been rather convoluted the last couple of weeks.  New writers?

Why, when Duncan was blabbing stuff to the nice girl at Utah State, didn't that  count as breaking the rules of the King for a Day? Why did they have to wait until he talked to Nathan about it?

The L.A. detectives probably didn't know anything about that conversation until later.

  10. I really liked Madison in the first seasons - she was offbeat, loyal, and funny. Now she seems selfish and cold. Her vision of Kevin being "all in" seems to preclude any compromise on her part.

Yes I think they all know and are in denial. Chris even said in his interview he hadn't "had that conversation" with Bailey. WTH? You haven't asked your daughter if she and her boyfriend had anything do with this? It has to be because you already know the answer and don't want to face it.

And ... you are OK with your daughter dating the guy who you think might have murdered your wife? I don't buy it. The husband benefited from 'reasonable doubt' in this case.

How can anyone claim Chris had no inconsistencies in his account(s)???  My wife was shot lying down, asleep. No wait ... she was sitting up.  I only heard one shot because I was asleep. No, wait, I was awake. I knew she was dead. No, wait, she was gurgling.

How many times have we seen stories change when murderers are confronted with forensic evidence?

And no one mentioned his complete lack of emotion in the 911 call. The operator was more shaken up than he was.

Finally, who else had access to his workshop where the shotgun was found?

I cried along with Kate when she was telling Randall how concerned she was about him, but was afraid to say anything for fear it would be wrong, and, sure enough, it was wrong in Randall's eyes.

Why would he have ever expected Kate to start a conversation about race with him?  That's not how it works.  We don't go up to disabled people and ask them how their disability feels?

Randall hasn't been shown asking Kate how it feels to be severely obese in a world where women are valued for their perceived beauty and thinness is the first criterion on that list?  Does tall, handsome  Randall have any idea how Kate feels when people stare at her on the street, make comments under their breath, study the contents of her grocery cart, or refuse to even glance at her job application? Does Randall know how Kate feels to constantly see people who look like her used as an object of ridicule in movies and TV?

Yet Kate hasn't attacked Randall for not asking her how it feels to be fat. If Kate wanted to discuss those feelings with her brother she would be the one to start the conversation and I imagine she felt Randall should be the one to start a conversation about race. When she tried, Randall implied that she would never be able to understand his pain and therefore she was useless to him.  Her love for him seemed to be of no value, because she didn't know exactly how it felt to be him. I have no idea what Kate was thinking while she was "sitting with it," but she looked completely miserable and  I don't understand what she had done to deserve that.

Thank you for this! Randall is an insufferable narcissistic who is always looking for any excuse to be victimized. Note to the writers: PLEASE stop with the lecturing.

  13. Everyone involved in this case is despicable. I'd like to wipe those smug grins off both the friend and the niece.  WTF is wrong with these people?

  14. Really lame challenge but good to see Bryan get a win.

Not sorry to see Leanne go after the way she treated the wait-staff during last week's Restaurant Wars. That tells me all I need to know about your character.

I've never ever understood the Brooke Lovefest.  Does her family own Bravo or something?

Good point, of course I'm kind of tired of TV acting like Missouri is some hick town place full of morons. I've been there many times and have several friends that live in the area. Looks like a regular place in the midwest. Still shares of: small towns, big cities, farms, rural and more urban areas. Problem is, they never mention the mountains or range areas. Sure Mitch would hate it, but Lilly be all: "Wow, look at all these places!" "Can we go to Branson?"

Yep - some Hollywood crack head writer's idea of middle America.  So insulting.

Check out "The Great Pottery Throwdown" on You Tube that qtpye recommended in the last episode thread.  It's brilliant!  I'm already on Episode 3 of the 1st season.  Really fun & creative.....

Thanks for the suggestion!  I need something, anything, to replace this show. Waaaaay too much Heidi for one thing.  Plus the hideous music is far too loud, that mean Naomi person can hardly put a sentence together, and the designers "begging for their lives" is a cringe-fest. Big fat fail, Amazon.

  17. What an odious bunch!  Selfish greed, clueless support for a murderer-wannabe, nerve-shattering vocal fry, and over-the-top drama. The entire episode was completely annoying.

  18. I found the Sheriff's behavior off-putting. Why do you need to call the 20/20 crew in for the "investigation" other than to glorify yourself? Great to see Nick able to tell his side of the story to those who conspired to stalk him before his arrest.

The whole thing was obvious grandstanding on the part of the Sherriff and the DA. Very troubling.

Guilt and innocence are difficult to determine by watching edited snippets from someone's life but ... Nick seemed completely credible to me in 2000, 2011, and 2020. His anguish seems real as is his grief and desire to find Leah's killer.

I lost any respect for Nina Garcia when she launched into that speech.  Sergio may be a drip, but the makeup and styling were appropriate for what he designed.  If anything, Galliano and Dior were appropriating traditional Japanese geisha makeup in their own time.

The fact that all the judges were pissing themselves over Sergio's dress during the runway show made me sure that he would survive, but Garcia's attack was ridiculous.

Agree! And why didn't he get a lecture from Elaine about "cultural appropriation" like she gave us last season? Could it be because the whole notion is beyond stupid? Or did she just forget to be offended?

I think Marquis’ design might have had a lesser impact if he had chose a different model - like the one Brittany used.  I don’t know if anyone here is old enough or fortunate to have seen Yul Brynner on Broadway in The King and I in the late 1970’s. There’s a scene (that literally took my breath away) where Brynner (as the king) strutted into the room and the way he walked in and stood so masterfully flashed into my head when Marquis’ model walked the runway.   When one of the judges said how regal the model looked I thought perhaps this scene would be referenced.
Sergio usually gets on my last nerve, but when I saw him give his hand to Nancy to assist her when the designers were getting up on the runway for their critiques, I had to cut him a teeny bit of slack.

Same here. All I could see was Yul Brynner.
