  1. My theory is that Toby insulted Kevin at the table so he wouldn't have to wear that stupid hat anymore.

And the finale will reveal that Rebecca's Alzheimer story line was a fake-out just so Kevin would build a guest house for Miguel's fishing buddies.

  2. All this ongoing (and very boring) drama over the twins could have been avoided if either Madison and/or Kevin had used birth control.

After seeing next week's dreary preview, Madison made the right choice to stay away from a grim Pearson Thanksgiving.

    Think I'll skip it too.

The appalling nipple-less top half is made even worse by the bottom half.

I bet she'll make some good tips serving cocktails in Vegas though. (I assume she was headed to her shift after the show taped.)

Yep, it's official - worst season ever. Lame challenges, poor judging, subpar designers. Oh, and lots and lots of lectures.

  4. A new low.

What an unattractive and undignified coven of "clients". The last time I heard that much screeching, howling, and shrieking, I was visiting the zoo. Who finds these plastic, puffy women even remotely interesting or entertaining? Besides that Andy Cohen creature - excuse me ... I mean, cultural icon.

What a bizarre pep-rally of a runway show.

And how absolutely typical of Elaine to lecture a designer- which she is not - about how to collaborate with the client you are designing for. She's just insufferable. No fake crying tonight though, so there's that.

Would have loved to see the oversized trash bag dress "Daddy" would designed for his housewife.

Anna's look was horrible. She deserved the auf. I don't know Gina, but she was super kind.

I think Kristina is a one-way monkey. Sheer overlay dress, coat, robe, etc. over pants. She couldn't make the dress, so she made that ill-conceived scarf. Her garment had a terrible fit.

    Kristina has taste issues.

Aaron's taste level is also too poor to suggest he'll win the one that matters.

I agree. Everything he makes looks matronly. That look tonight reminded me of the Miss America Pageant - the gown competition.  In 1966.

Kate is some kind of pscyho for standing there listening to that terrible breakup scene and then immediately walking in to the office.

But then again, he did call her in for an "emergency," that turned out to be a birthday song for her. So maybe she felt she had to talk to him right away. The whole scenario just felt off, like nothing real human beings would do.

I agree. The part that bugged me the most, though, was the trite expression "watching paint dry". Really show? The writers couldn't come up with a funnier metaphor than that tired cliche?

Agree with most things said, and I'm still watching, but I just have to say when Christian compared Bones and his scarf to Edie Beale. OMG. I died.

Same here. LOL! Especially since, on first seeing the scarf, I thought "wow, Gray Gardens".

Bones didn’t seem to get the reference.

The “message” behind the cage look was such bullshit because Christian came up with that design! That was a prime example of the designers inventing a message after the fact to fit the look in order to score points with the judges and I am annoyed that it worked. Very glad they did not win because of it!

”Hmm she’s wearing a cage over her face, what could this stand for? Aha! We are both minorities so people put us in cages!”

The lamest occurrence (thus far) of a very lame season.

It can be when it centers self and self worth over wanting to raise a child.  They want a child who will be grateful to have been "rescued" from a more unstable life.  They want a child who will make them look good, pure and generous to others who learn of that child's earlier circumstances.

In reality, they can't handle the complexities of the real child who walks through the door.  A child who might have real trauma in their past (or not).  A child who might be an ungrateful little snot as many children are, whether they've been adopted or not, when they're going through the stages of adolescence.

    That's when the complex applies.

I think what happened with Angel makes me think there's a good chance she falls into this category.

Yep. There's often a great deal of virtue signaling with international adoptions. I've seen this first-hand.

  11. Tales like this (adopted kid murders parent/parents) should end the nature versus nuture argument.

The crime files are full of these cases. For example, the current case of Beth Potter and her husband, brutally murdered in Madison, WI.

I know it’s not woke to say this but his model was not a curvy model she was morbidly obese.  He got the short end of the stick, created what he could and they just stuffed him in the middle pretty much unseen.

I agree. And can we all stop pretending that any of the designers with a "plus" model is ever going to win a challenge? And why must the model body types be so extreme? Are there no size 10s in all of Model Town?

Elaine: We judges all agree this is the most talented group of designers ever on PR!

Well, Elaine, I think that says just as much about the quality of the current judging panel as it does about the designers, because, no.

And another thing, Elaine - repeating something doesn't make it true, no matter how many times you say it.

I mean, are they trying to gaslight us???

How snarky am I to mention that,  pre-BBT, she was on "What Not to Wear"?

I knew Maude. I was also depressed it was a TS. We can watch TV together.

Sigh, I know. I had the same reaction when, a while back, 'Rhoda Morganstern' was a TS.

I’d like to see Dateline cover the Jim Faith case. It’s similar to other cases they’ve covered but I would love to hear and watch Josh being super shady about how stupid the perps were.

Same! I have a feeling Dateline is on the case. And, you are right - this one's made for Josh.

You all convinced me to watch the Lori /Larry story. Yikes! What is it about women named Lori? And how on earth does someone have 6 children, a husband, a church life, a job, and still has enough energy to carry on a string of secret affairs? I swear she must have been fuelled by evil.

What stumps me the most is how she can go around talking in that baby voice.

I’m not sure why the host of a game show needs any sort of intellectual “credibility.” On the other hand quite a few people really feel that Jeopardy! sort of transcends game shows and that the host should be seen as a public intellectual.  I don’t see it that way but a lot of people do.

Change the term "game show" to "quiz show" (which Jeopardy is), and the requirement makes more sense.
