  1. I immediately thought about Beat the Press when I read about this the other day, and how people thought it was too over the top. Also I read this article from just two days ago and it certainly sounds like a return is possible. https://buffalonews.com/2019/02/12/if-murphy-brown-returns-trump-bashing-will-be-almost-out-of-the-shows-system/
  2. This one was a total gut punch. I feel like I remember Frank saying that she did cut her hair back when he came in and told everyone about Murphy getting her wig. What jumped out at me was that in the support group were Marcia Wallace and Wendie Jo Sperber, both had breast cancer either before this or during and have since passed away. Tracy Nelson had breast cancer more recently too.
  3. I was wondering about that too. FWIW I checked out the actual Ari the Therapy Dog's instagram and it doesn't appear he's ever wearing a diaper even in his regular life. So I'm not entirely sure what the story is, but they probably didn't give a wholly accurate picture of what it's like to have a paralyzed pet. I could see a dog that was maybe very loved and cared for with its own wheelchair winding up in a shelter on a death list, because so many times dogs wind up that way due to unfortunate circumstances. Maybe something happened to owner, they died or became incapable of taking care of him anymore. Once a dog like that winds up in a shelter I would imagine they are incredibly hard to place.
  4. Yep, I explain things to my dog and ask for his opinion on things all the time. I also loved how Avery immediately had his "dog voice," every dog owner I know has a different and sometimes weird variation of their voice that they exclusively use with their or other people's dogs. He was so excited and it was adorable. I thought it was cute too how they had Avery and Frank's reactions be exactly the same when learning that Murphy was at an animals shelter.
  5. I didn't watch the 9th or 10th seasons, except for maybe a couple here or there, in the original run. I do remember not liking Kay though. Having gone back and watched them she has grown on me a bit too. I still miss Miles, but it I don't hate her. She actually has some funny/weird asides. I think they also toned down the animosity or rivalry between Kay and Murphy in the 10th season, it's pretty much non-existent during the cancer storyline. Which I also have to add I think was handled really well overall, and led to some great moments between the characters ("Ectomy, Schmectomy," "Operation Murphy Brown," "Florence Night-en Corky," and "Waiting to Inhale," all come to mind). I actively avoided the cancer storyline when it was on originally because I was a young teen and my own mother was going through breast cancer treatment literally that same year and I had just lost my grandmother to it early that year, so the last thing I wanted to watch was someone else going through it. Seeing it as an adult has been interesting and overall I think they were pretty accurate with their depiction.
  6. This was the incident that came to mind for me when I saw the preview for this episode. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/trump-praises-montana-congressman-who-assaulted-reporter-n921911
