Everyone at Fujitsu was arrogant enough or stupid enough that they did not think the subpostmasters would just believe everything Fujitsu and the post office was telling them.
When the Fujitsu guy was demonstrating how easy it was to run the Horizon system, it probably never crossed his mind that Mike was smart enough to ask, "Are these changes you're making being done live, in real time?" I almost thought the look on the IT guy's face was, "Oh shit. Maybe this is why all of the numbers are coming up wrong." Until Mike's question, the IT guy didn't seem to have a clue that numbers on a screen had such a profound effect on real people.
We watched the "real story" on PBS through Prime Video. It was ghastly to see what these REAL folks went through.
Did the techs themselves understand they were demonstrating/working on a live system?
Spoiler to note:
SpoilerThe investigations and hearings suggested the techs would go into the accounts and fix problems when data was dropped by the system, so it sounds like they did know they could do that

I thought the final versions of the music videos were pretty good, though I liked the first more than the second

Tonight, the top eight dancers take on the Broadway stage as the competition continues. This week the dancers will split into two groups and take on Broadway challenges choreographed Emmy-winning choreographer Al Blackstone and choreographer and director Sarah O'Gleby. Who will rise to the challenge and who will be dancing for their lives in the hopes of remaining on the show? Based on the challenges the bottom performers will have to dance for their lives and someone will be eliminated every week until the season finale where one person will win $100,000 and be crowned the winner of So You Think You Can Dance. Tune into the all-new "Challenge #2: Broadway" episode of So You Think You Can Dance airing Monday, April 22 (9:02 - 10:00 ET/PT) on FOX.

The Guardian: The Post Office inquiry is finally exposing the part the politicians played in the Horizon scandal

Egads, the Post Office folks are bunch of meanies for the way they went after and destroyed people, especially the guy who visited Fujitsu and saw things he shouldn’t. Mr. Bates is a hero for pushing for the truth

So Mickey and Sharon are half sisters or step-sisters? I initially thought it was the former but I relistened to how they described their relationship and it sounded like the latter
Overall, I liked Morena though at times she and the dialog seemed stilted, but it was interesting to watch the byplay between Sharon and Mickey
I did have some background suspicion about the shooting with the deputy only getting shot in the arm while the sheriff was shot in the head, but I didn’t fully twig to the deputy being dirty. And of course he was dumb enough to spill his whole plan to Bode and the other inmate
The sick inmate certainly ran well for someone with stage 4 cancer. He didn’t look sick at all

It also wouldn’t surprise me if Francey, Margaret’s executive assistant, is sabotaging things. She indicated she thought she cut a vendor a check, but that could be a lie

This was a fun episode and Jenifer Lewis was such a crazy loon delight. Her operatically singing not guilty in court was a highlight
I already didn’t like Beverly last season and I dislike her more this season. It certainly seems like she’s setting Margaret up for something. As noted there seems to be funny business with paying vendors, so it wouldn’t surprise me if Bev is setting Margaret up to take the fall for the firm’s financial issues (and Bev is behind that probably) and oust her from the firm

A lot of people over the years have referred to the ABC and Disney conglomerate as ABCD - do you think (BBC/D or D+) might be enough? 🤷♀️
Hmm, maybe. Just enough to differentiate

Just an FYI with a new season coming up, I conferred with a couple of mods on how to designate episode titles (ie the S01.E01 part) since the new season is starting with Season 1. For the moment, it looks like the best choice to reduce confusion and problems sharing space with existing episode titles is to go with something like "S01.E01 (BBC/Disney+): Ep Title", so for example, S01.E01 (BBC/Disney+): Space Babies. This will especially help if we're all still around when they get to Season 8 given the board starts with Series 8 episodes, and if a future showrunner decides to start with Season 1 or Series 1 again. If anyone has thoughts or suggestions on something else you think might work better, please say so
