I haven't seen much that Sean Pertwee has been in, but I remember a few years ago he played a guest role in The Musketeers, and I was fairly blown away by how strongly he channelled his dad for the role. If anyone could pull off the 3rd Doctor, it's him. But I agree that he'd more likely play a new character, if he guested in Doctor Who.
He also played Alfred in the Fox series Gotham which just ended I think
Another little tease of the Children in Need album with video of Jodie about to rehearse. Suranne Jones did a previous tease. Can these people actually sing? Can Jodie? What the heck is Jodie saying in that clip?

Music? Spoken word? Both?
In other news, Sean Pertwee hints that Doctor Who may have approached him. Would he pop up as a original character? Or would he follow his father Jon in playing the Third Doctor? If you've never seen him (particularly as Alfred Pennyworth in Gotham), there's more than a passing resemblance.
For the album, sounds like music, specifically cover songs. I didn’t know some of these people can sing assuming they can
As for Sean, he has apparently said in the past that he doesn’t want to play the 3rd Doctor, but he wouldn’t be against doing something on the show

Minor (from my foreigner POV that is) award news. The Eastern Eye ACTA Awards (awards British Asian talent in the arts) awarded Vinay Patel Best Screenwriter for Demons of the Punjab and Mandip Gill for the fan-voted People's Choice Award in acting
Also, the Gold Derby TV Awards (https://www.goldderby.com/) nominations long list is out and you can vote for Doctor Who in various categories, though you need an account. Categories: Supporting Actor - Drama (Bradley), Drama Actress (Jodie), Drama Series and Drama Episode (Rosa)

I don't see much chatter about the show here in Canada, but reading here that there is a WWII era episode made me wonder... is there ever a chance of seeing Captain Jack again?
Anything is possible but no idea. I'm sure John Barrowman would be up for it though

There was further filming with the cast and the Judoon in Cardiff (not sure if today or yesterday)

The Judoon episode is reportedly to be Episode 6 but that could change of course
A lot of outside filming today with the Judoon caught by fans, which is probably why the BBC released the news. You can check the Twitter account @doctorwhopn for pointers to a lot of them. The main cast will reportedly film inside the cathedral tomorrow

I guess they learned from their mistake of not having any known Doctor Who villains.
More like, they let it be known early that one was back. They did have a Dalek in Resolution after all and they kept that secret until a week or two before it aired. Seems Twitter Who fans are happy and abuzz about this news
I’ve only seen the Judoon so far in their debut episode. I’m currently working my way through NewWho in order, currently in Tennant’s 3rd series

This should be fun. For those who don’t know the history and can’t access the Facebook link (if not, see the second link from Doctorwhonews) the Judoon are part of the intergalactic police and a little rough

@tv-talk with all the “cuteness” of The Master regenerating into Missy and the nonsense where Moffat went overboard with her being a woman, I so appreciate that WhitDoc didn’t do that. 13 got on with it and didn’t rail against men or whatever and only got annoyed with the woman thing when people tried to prevent her from doing something because she was female, like in Witchfinders. I hope that makes sense

https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/8835943/doctor-who-pc-storylines-history/
Frazer Hines, the 2nd Doctor’s Companion Jamie, gets clickbaited by the Sun and their article totally twist his words. He apparently comments to someone that he prefers monsters to historicals and serials to stand alones. The Sun then turns that into him slamming the current bosses and saying the current show is too PC. Frazer comments on Twitter ( @WhoFrazer) refuting the Sun’s interpretation and saying he doesn’t even recall talking to them (he could have talked to a freelancer). The Sun and some others really seem to be against the current show and it seems to love twisting words
