  1. Omg, what the heck is up with the abusive Lebanese mother? You could feel the narcissistic hold the mother has on the daughter. Evil. Poor girl.:(
  2. As am I. One hour is just enough. I liked watching Jen shop also. I admire her beachy / coastal style and liked hearing her thinking behind the items she chooses. The one furniture piece that I don't find attractive is their huge button tucked sofa. It's odd shape and all around tucking looks so cumbersome in a light, airy coastal setting although the sandy color and fabric are lovely. Jen has had a lot of sofa/couches in her Houston home over the seasons, I noticed. And you have a porch the length of your home? I am so envious! :)
  3. Lol...We have a family photo from the 50's showing my 6 year old cousin hanging out the car window waving as my uncle was drove away! How times have changed. :) She looked adorable! Her swimsuit reminded me of the ones they wore in the 40's & 50's. Jen really dresses Zoey in the cutest clothes. I wonder if Zoey picks them out now that she's older.
  4. 9 or 10 in a booster seat? Wow, I feel so old. Back in the day when I was a kid we were lucky if the car had seat belts, Lol.
  5. UsernameFatigue, you must be right, it makes more sense. I defer to people who own homes with 3 levels which is certainly not me. :)
  6. Sweet, quiet episode with just the 4 Klein's eating, shopping & renovating their new home in St Petersburg, FL. Was surprised to hear Bill say that their new house is almost 4,000 sq ft. That's enormous. When Zoey was sitting next to Jen on the bottom of the stairs in the beginning of the episode I realized just how much she's grown. Such a beautiful little girl. They visited a nearby restaurant and when they sat at their table and Jen started talking with Will I had to laugh at how much will uses his hands to emphasis his words. Very Italian. They go to a lighting store afterwards and as they look around they tell Zoey she can help by 'looking' around and she says "I don't want to look. I want to buy!" Lol...Her mother's daughter, definitely. They aren't using as much playful background sounds/music as they have in previous seasons and it puts emphasis on the families conversations. While in the car I noticed that Will has almost outgrown his carseat. I wonder if he will get some type of modified seat or just be buckled up as a regular passenger would be soon. Was surprised at the extent of the renovation process, its moving along quite quickly as far as what we viewers can see. I loved Jen's house in Houston, this one will take a little getting used to in comparison. I suppose we'll see by season's end if its as lovely as their previous home. I loved when Jen used 'reverse psychology' on Zoey while test painting wall paint colors. I think Zoey is learning to spread her wings a little and be independent from Mom. But she's such a sweetie you can only laugh. Their contractor/designer Rick has the most unusual way of speaking. When he says 'Wednesday' he pronounces it 'Weeeeenzday' ...:) I don't know if they repainted the pool bottom but it looks beautiful. Clear as a bell. Those 2 kids are incredible swimmers, can hardly believe Zoey is the same little girl who cried and cried for her Mommy during swimming lessons with Jared. What a wonderful thing to see. Seeing those two kids munch on their Dad's bbq'd lunch was so sweet and Will saying "Dad, I love my lunch" was adorable. At the end of the episode, during the 'behind the scene's' I noticed that Jen's hair was longer and she looks so pretty! I always thought that although Bill liked Jen and Zoey with super short pixies it was just too extreme a hairstyle. I think Jen has good reason to love the Meg Ryan hair style best in 'You've Got Mail' - its truly the most flattering on her. Its funny, I sort of missed seeing Nai Nai, Grandba or any of the other grandparents. I've sort of gotten used to the way they all lovingly interact with Will & Zoey, just being one big family. Looking forward to next weeks episode. :)
  7. I enjoyed this episode. After so many seasons I'm still learning a lot about Jen & Bill and their families. First off, Zoey gets cuter by the minute, that child is just adorable. Something about that tiny girl calling everyone "Sister" just makes me laugh. She has such a vivid imagination and so easily verbalizes her thoughts that I can't help but smile when she comes on screen. I think she is past thriving with parents who adore her and her brother. Its lovely to see. It was so interesting to find out that both Kate and her new husband are moving with the Klein's to Florida. My first thought was 'Does he have work there?'. I'll be interesting to find out what he does for a living. Is he working for the Klein's also? It's so unusual to see a nanny not only move with a family to another state but move into their new home with her new husband. Somehow, Jen and Bill are creating a 'new norm' for expanding/creating families that reminds me of the 1940's and 50's when families were very inclusive and supported multiple generations within one household as well as housing household employee's and their children. I must say, when I first saw Kate's husband traveling along with them I was very 'judge-y', wondering what he was contributing but then I began to see that Jen and Bill's plans for their new life in Florida are far bigger than they've shown so far and I am really excited to see what develops over the coming season. Some random comments: Bill's new haircut (when he's speaking to camera) is very flattering. Seeing Jen drive was a first for me. And seeing Bill taking care of his wife, talking to her about the pedal extenders, warmed my heart. He's such an old fashioned husband and dad, taking good care of his family. Just started following Jen on Instagram and she posted a plethora of photo's after the episode which was so nice to see. I cannot help but wish this family all good things. Oh, one more thing. I loved seeing Judy and Dave's home. It looks, from what they showed, like Jen's lovely coastal decorating style was learned from her mother. Just beautiful. And the lobster looked so delicious I bought some after work yesterday on the pier in San Francisco. (Close to my job.) In a time when there is so much bad news it is a delight to be able to look forward to watching this family doing all they can to create positivity and success.
  8. Lol, I'm sure you don't need new glasses. They are listed as consulting producers on a few episodes but perhaps I was referring more to their assertions that they can and will veto any scenes they aren't comfortable with. In the episode where Jen is trying on Colonial dresses with her mom she says she doesn't want to be filmed and the camera man immediately says "Are you serious? Do you not want me to film you?" and Jen replies "No, no go ahead." I've always gotten the impression that they have a healthy amount of control over what is included in each episode.
  9. I really enjoyed this episode. To me its greatest focus was on Zoey. They've changed the way the episodes are produced, less background music, camera quietly lingering on Bill and Jen after they speak directly to the audience. Subtle but noticeable. The one thing I think is going to be talked about is Jen arranging to give Zoey's fish away without telling anyone. Its so sad to see Zoey trying to process that she's losing her fish at the same moment that she meets the family that will be taking them. Definitely a Mommy mistake. It must be so difficult to make your parenting mistakes while being filmed for millions to see. As a producer Jen and Bill could have easily have the scene removed so kudo's to Jen for allowing it to remain. Zoey is blossoming into an articulate, loving little girl. She is so imaginative - having a conversation with her stuffed horse while riding it, calling it 'Sister', wrapping her arm around her mother as they look out the window of their new home and sharing her thoughts - its obvious that Bill and Jen's little girl is thriving. When she began crying about her fish and her father lifted her up on a counter top to talk to her, it was then I realized what an incredible job Bill and Jen have done with their daughter. The little girl who could only cry when they first brought her home was now articulating her thoughts and emotions to her parents while trying to process the loss of her pet fish. Its quite remarkable. I was underwhelmed by their new home. While enormous, I couldn't get past the black wrought iron everywhere. Not a fan. I'm sure it will look beautifully coastal when they are done remodeling. I was actually surprised that they didn't look a little longer for a coastal home since that's all Jen has talked about for years. I suppose they hadn't the time. It really became apparent while watching this episode that Bill and Jen are terrific parents. Just a lovely, loving family.
  10. That is so awesome. :) Recreating pics for your daughter. My thought exactly. She's so much like her mother and even more like her Nai Nai. Her love of horses, love of the beach... It really makes you believe in fate and destiny.
