Technically, neither "made" the team -- they're alternates.

I think Kat was chosen as an "alternate" just so the squad would appear to be more diverse than it actually is. So basically, they are using her and giving her very little in return. Just my opinion. The other alternate is Meredith.

This team can no longer claim to be "world-class." The decline in quality is shocking, and something really needs to be done but they're now more concerned with producing a reality series for a network few people watch instead of putting together a top-notch dance team.

I haven't watched it, but there was something in the first episode involving VK and Lily where they were talking and it was 100% scripted.

Lisa does not like Julia. I heard she went out to celebrate the night she was cut (and thus wasn't at IHOP). Also, someone at finals told me that Christina's solo was horrible, but I didn't think it would be that bad. How she made it back is beyond me. Girls on the team consider her the weakest of all the veterans.

Maybe they finally realized how cruel it was to cut a deserving candidate just to make space for undeserving VK to make it.

You have to ask yourself when was the last time that Shelley (as opposed to someone else) weighed them. Also, does "on target" mean they were below their contract weight or that they were making progress toward that weight? All in all, I think Shelley was being very careful in how she answered that question. I was told that two vets are on WW and have been since the beginning of training camp.

They wait until the last day to make it more dramatic for the show. Again, the show drives everything at this point, and the girl's feelings are just pawns in the ratings game. I've heard that some of the vets who have been cut during training camps in the past likely wouldn't have been cut had it not been for the show-- they just thought it'd make for great TV to see vets getting called in and dismissed.

What you see as cruel, Kelli sees as drama that could translate into higher ratings. It’s ALL about the reality show now, folks, which is the main reason for the decline in the team’s quality.

I wouldn't count out Heather. From what I understand, they not only rotate points between Maddie and Amy, but a few others move around in the triangle as well. I'm not sure how many as I don't have the specifics (sorry!) but it wouldn't surprise me if Heather is up during the second half of TS.
