  1. Exactly. I honestly think that Whoopi, Joy or Sunny would likely do the same thing. They are all entitled people who don’t live in the real world like the rest of us. No need to pick on Meghan.
  2. Federer was a bad boy tennis player as a teenager. He learned from his mistakes. Nobody defended his behaviour. This is what changed him. https://www.express.co.uk/sport/tennis/980311/Roger-Federer-BRAT-Wimbledon-tennis-news-Nike-Mike-Nakajima. It would be a good thing if Serena could watch herself and be embarrassed by her behavior. Sadly, many are celebrating her behavior so a learning opportunity will likely go wasted.
  3. Roger Federer is one of the “nicest “ athletes around and he is well known for his niceness. Why is it bad to have an expection of niceness? Everyone should be nice.
  4. I don’t think many people respect Hannity and Carlson except for Trump’s base. I don’t think those are good examples because I’ve even heard the ladies of The View making fun of them when they act like idiots. People should be judged by their actions. People also need to take responsibility for their actions and not treat every slight as an act of racism or sexism.
  5. Those McEnroe commercials were very self deprecating.
  6. Joy did actually mention McEnroe getting kicked out of the Australian Open, but it was not acknowledged by the panel and was quickly glossed over because it didn’t support Whoopi’s and Sunny’s claim that Serena was a victim of sexism. Shame on Whoopi and Sunny for defending her.
  7. You may not remember it, but it did happen. Perhaps it’s more noticed because Serena Williams is a superstar. But there have been many men who behaved badly on the tennis court and were called out for it. John McEnroe, Dennis Ralston, Panco Gonzales, Ernest’s Gulbis, Marat Safin, Cliff Richey, Andy Roddick and Nick Kyrgios to name a few. We shouldn’t ever defend bad behavior and make excuses for it. Serena is not being called out because of her gender or her color. She is being called out because of her egregious behavior. It’s a pattern with her whenever she is faced with difficulty. It’s easy to be nice when you are winning. Your true character comes out when you are faced with adversity. I’d have more respect for her if she just came out and admitted that what she did was wrong and that she felt remorse for it. Instead she doubles down. That, to me shows what type of person she is. Joy was right. Why should this kind of behavior be tolerated from anyone? My mind is blown when I hear people in the media defending her. It’s unbelievable.
  8. I can’t believe that Sunny, Whoopi and Abby were defending Serena’s actions at the US Open. Serena’s behavior was appalling and bordering on bullying and for her to try to turn it around to make it as if she were the victim was egregious. How would Sunny feel if one of her kids were talking to her like that? It makes me sick to see Serena being lauded as a some sort of women’s rights crusader. Most men tennis players who are abusing an umpire have the sense to stop before the consequences become too severe. What is she even trying to fight for? Is she saying that women should have equal opportunities as men to be a jerk? Serena Williams is an amazing athlete, but her character is awful and nobody should be defending what she did on Saturday at the US Open Final. Poor Naomi Osaka. Serena just ruined what should have been the highlight of this young woman’s tennis career thus far. Serena is a spoiled brat and Sunny should be ashamed of herself for defending her. Kudos to Joy for asking why this behavior should be tolerated by men or women.
  9. It’s funny how everyone now wants to hear what Omarosa has to say. Leading up to her last appearance on The View people were dreading the fact that she was going to be on the show. Omarosa is no more credible now than she was before. She is, however comedy gold in my opinion which makes for good tv.
  10. Yes. Sunny was being very sexist. She actually said, “it’s different for girls” when Abby said that she saved herself for marriage. Sunny drives me nuts.
  11. To the military, the flag and anthem are representative of them. As such they don’t like it when some people don’t stand for the anthem. Karpernick and others have every right to protest by kneeling for the anthem just like Abby and others have every right to be offended by their actions. That’s what America is all about.
  12. I know this won’t be popular, but I think the show will be better with another conservative voice. Meghan often has trouble getting her point across, especially when she is outnumbered and interrupted by the liberals on the show. Adding another conservative to the panel should make the conversations more politically balanced.
  13. I don't want get into trouble here, but I think that most people here are surprised by MM's positive press because a forum like this is like a bubble or an echo chamber. When the same opinions keep getting repeated over and over again, they become ingrained in ones brain as an undeniable truth. So when a dissenting view is presented, it is met with disbelief.
