I know these shows are anything but historically accurate, but a woman who knows about comets and meteorites? Sure, Jan.

I thought for a beat that Lucille was going to stay in Poplar. Is the actress doing something else? They've now lost two sisters and one midwife!
-
So...Sister Veronica is a chronic liar? And that's, like, cool with everyone? So bizarre.
The storyline with the closeted lesbians was so sad. "Present at death" isn't as good as "next of kin," but it'll do.

S10E01 has aired in the UK, and
SpoilerBunty is on safari in Africa, Mrs. McCarthy is in Ireland with her sister, and Inspector Mallory is in Scotland "for the golf" (lol). Which brings back Chief Inspector Sullivan to Kembleford! New character is Mrs. Devine, who is an amateur actress and sleuth and who has a mysterious connection with CI Sullivan.

Having watched all three episodes of Season 3, I am confused by one thing. (I'll put it in spoiler tags because only the first episode has aired in the UK even though all three are available via streaming.)
SpoilerAmelia isn't in any episodes, even though she's mentioned in the article above. No mention of her is made at all.

I don’t know. I grew up mis-hearing hors d’oeuvres as “orderbs.” Then, on the rare occasions that I saw the word in print I thought the word was pronounced “whores DOUGHverz” (100% true story) and never connected it with “orderbs.” It wasn’t until I took a semester of college French that I made the connection.
Until I was an adult, I thought there were two towns in California -- one named La Jolla (rhymes with La Dolla) and one named La Hoya, so I believed that hearing "champain" and seeing "champagne" would mess up a nervous older person.

No one delivered a one-liner like MT. "San Sucky, here we come!" and "Cindy, Cindy Birdsong" immediately come to mind.
I *still* say "I don't know, some white girl" All. The. Time.

I watch London Kills because ... why not ... but it is so weird. Dude's wife is found after being missing and in the 3rd season, not one mention? Not even in passing?

You can tell anything goes after 9pm on UKtv, because they just showed a lady's entire cooch on Embarrassing Bodies. 😲

That sausage mixer footage was the funniest thing I've seen on TM in many seasons. Chris Ramsey is the Russell Howard of this season.

I'm not questioning Gill getting garment of the week, but the judges either not mentioning or the editors editing out any mention of the pattern not aligning in the front really stood out.
I thought the same thing. The seams didn't line up at all.

@Badger your input is much appreciated. The montage sounds wonderful and I am so sad we miss all of these precious moments.
Agreed. Even though I'm in the US and have already seen this series (there are Ways) I couldn't tell you which scenes have been cut if you paid me. Thanks, @Badger!

I normally don't like Judi Love, but she has won me over on TM. They're ALL good this series.

And what I don't understand is why she and her ex-husband built those two motels in that part of Arkansas. It's not as if there is really anything "there". Not the Ozarks and unless there is a major highway there, what's the point? Looked like standard "no tell motels" to me. Maybe there is a lot of "sin" going on in that Bible Belt town?
It's duck hunting country, plus there's a small Baptist college in a neighboring town. And I'm 80% positive they're the only motels in Pocahontas. The Days Inn is newer, so it's nicer, but the Rock 'n' Roll Inn is, yeah, a place where truckers stay when they drive on 67.

Heyyy Arkansas in the house! People I know! A town I've been to 100s of times! It's weird to see places you've been in real life on Dateline.
Stupid conspiracy theories aside, 99% of murders are about sex or money. This one was money.

S9E3 -- Sid is supposed to be Kembleford native, with a history of petty crimes, but he didn't know about a famous murder that happened in the town? One that made national news?

From the link @sugarbaker design shared, it looks like they already filmed the final book. Has it done well in the UK or US? Season 2 ends on what some might think is a cliffhanger. (You can watch the whole season via PBS Passport.)
I watched it on Passport and yeah. Cliffhanger. 👎

Is the barmaid the same girl Sid went off on the longboat with?
S12.E08: Episode 8
in Call The Midwife
This show hasn't made me cry in a while, but I was SOBBING by the end.
