I’ve stayed at the Mandelay Bay.  I won’t anymore tho.  Just because of the fish in the tanks.  How can anyone enjoy a meal watching those beautiful creatures swimming around in a circle?

not to be the vegas chamber of commerce or the mandalay PR group... they have a damn good sportsbook

Introversion doesn’t need to be fixed. If Jake wants to come out of his shell, Haley might be able to bring that out, but I don’t really see anything that indicates that he has a problem with the way he is (nor should he). I think he’s kind of dull, but he also has a life he seems to like - he seems to genuinely like fixing up his house, he has a good job, good friends. If Haley needs someone more outgoing (and I think she does), they should have paired her with someone more outgoing.

I just posted something similar to this.  You did it way better than I did.  I definitely have Jake like tendencies... I have also dated a bunch of Haleys who left feeling frustrated

  3. I might be alone on an island here but I see Haley as the "problem" in her relationship with Jake.  Jake is not the most emotive dude but I get the sense once he feels comfortable with someone he opens up.  Haley might not be willing to wait around to unlock that box.  She seems frustrated that he is not immediately reacting to her charms.  As a bear who takes time to warm up to people i definitely sympathize with Jake even though I am sick of hearing about his remodel

Yes. Agree that is an issue. An important question that should have been asked before matching.  Or have been on questionnaire.   Clara came from family of preachers didn’t she?

I might have missed evidence to the contrary, but i didn't get the sense Clara was hostile towards organized religion.  I could see her as being accepting of it in her partner even if that's not her thing

I’m usually just a reader, never post, but Chris is such a POS and will probably be a victim of domestic violence, once he meets “the right” lady.

I feel like there is a Waiting to Exhale moment waiting for him. sometime soon

Watching Natalie and Mike eating dinner again, I can’t believe how unappetizing that meal looked. Limp boiled veggies and shrimp! With her high IQ, Natalie should know that’s one of the least nutritious ways to prepare food. Mike’s mistake was saying the words “stir fry”, had he known her reaction he would have been better off making up a term for the cooking method that wouldn’t have set her off and they could have had a very tasty and healthy dinner. High fives all around!

If only he said saute... then I'd have those 5 minutes of my life back

He's been with Utah for years. He may be at the top of the payscsle for a CB/ST coach. But yeah, nowhere near "millions."  He also has a law degree (from Utah) that he never used (or used it for a very short time, can't remember). Yes, I googled him. 😁

He's probably bringing in mid six figures.  We don't have to pass a hat around for him 😂

Thomas' ancestors owned Caleb's ancestors is the simplest answer. Especially since the family remained in Charleston, it's probably the most likely answer. But the reality is far more complex. You should read this to better understand how Caleb's ancestors could have gotten that name.

Thank you for making this point.  I was going to bring this up if no one else had.  Considering the (forced) illiteracy of Blacks at the time it is not inconceivable that his family spells it that way.  Also consider how small Charleston is I think it's more likely than not Thomas' family owned Chleb's

@Stats Queen I am so sorry about the loss of your brother and sister-in-law.  I'm glad your niece didn't postpone getting married since her mother got to be there.

I too think Cynthia was being ridiculous about the wedding    As soon as she said, "The wedding sets the tone for the marriage" I was over it.  That's crap  - after all she already had a showstopper wedding and that marriage sure didn't work out.   You'd think she would know better.

my wedding was one of the best days of my life... all my family and friends were there and watching them together was fun..  however i was divorced 18 months later... it was a great day for me but it didn't mean shit for my marriage

I regularly watch a TV show featuring someone who married their step grandfather and someone who did a fashion show only with a track suit.  What am I doing with my life?

what's even more confounding... i have a girlfriend who does NOT watch this shit and yet she still stays with me... count your blessings

All I have to say is, Elizabeth needs to stop seeing herself as a size 2.  That bikini was totally atrocious.  What does she see when she looks in a mirror?  What I found funny is that whomever is operating the camera sure likes to focus on her derrière, and it’s not a good look.

As a man who likes his female bears on the larger side... I always think Emily looks amazing... Elizabeth is a mess

There is a really good book called "Is Marriage For White People?"  It was written in 2012, by Ralph Richard Banks.  He goes by stats, numbers and explains why it's so hard for black women.  Black men marry outside their race, three times (maybe more) that of black women.  Black men have too many options and black women have too few.

@Neurochick... before i turned into a blue bear with a heart on his ass i was a black man... I don't always agree with your takes but i always learn from them... I appreciate your perspective...
