Life will still happen, and there will be situations I have no control over; however, what I do have control over is my decision to drink or not.
It is Mia’s mother’s responsibility to stay sober whether Mia brings her on the show or Candace insults her. As they say, a relapse happens even before you pick up a drink (or drug of choice).
Watching them take shots looked like a lot of fun and made me miss drinking for a moment, but then seeing G reminded me why this bitch can’t drink 😯
Watching people on reality tv who reportedly are in recovery or sober fascinates me. Sometimes it’s inspiring, and other times it reminds me I need to keep my ducks in a row.
Anywho, thank you for reading my long message about something that doesn’t really pertain to the episode 🥲

I had forgotten about watching Too Hot To Handle last year; as long as cast members didn't have sex with each other they got a nice cash prize. Francesca and Howie were the horndogs that supposedly couldn't keep their hands off each other and reduced the payout to the cast accordingly. Francesca and Howie are no longer together either. Such is the life of a professional reality show horndog.

CJ is kind of dim isn't she? The blonde kind of seems dumb too. What was kind of hilarious to me watching that first mixer is they were all gravitating to the fuckboys because they had game and the non-fuckboys were kind of awkward and off-putting.
I'm 20 mins into the first episode. ALL of these people are dumb. I feel like all the contestants (including our female protagonists) were too dumb to get into the Bachelor franchise. Will this keep me from watching? Of course not

Between this and the Baby-Sitter's Club, I think Netflix is doing a really good job of raising awareness about the Japanese internment camps. It might just be coincidence that two shows in that tween/teen age group brought them up, but it seems intentional. As both shows make it clear, there are still people alive who were in them and have memories of them, but also that once they are gone, people will be even more unaware of them than they currently are.
I grew up on the East coast and took AP American History. I didn't really learn about internment camps until one of my Asian friends in grad school told me about them

Ryan would probably benefit more from grief therapy than a marriage to a stranger. He is traumatized! I'm not sure Brett will be able to pull him out of that particular funk.
