  1. When Joy tries to make a topical joke, her references are often about 30 years old. She's old. It happens.
  2. I assumed this, too. I'm slightly younger than Meghan and I first discovered Designing Women when it was in reruns on Lifetime. It used to air in a block with Golden Girls.
  3. I wonder if Ana had to fill in for Meghan or Sara at the last minute, which is why she wasn't there right at 11. Maybe someone threw a temper tantrum again.
  4. He actually played Mary Jo's boyfriend J.D., not her ex-husband, who was played by Scott Bakula.
  5. I think she said she WAS the conservative equivalent of AOC when AOC guested on the show. AOC politely smiled, which showed more restraint than I would have been capable of.
  6. Maybe the site publishes recaps that focus on Meghan because they read this forum, where we're all obsessed with criticizing Meghan. 🤷‍♂️
  7. She was the first black Bachelorette and she works in media now. Like Sunny, she used to be a lawyer.
  8. They might if they're part of a LGBTQ+ professional organization.
  9. And a lot of us understand the decision. Having now watched the segment, I guess it's good that Whoopi, Joy, and Sunny were there to add balance, but it's not really enough because all of them are speaking about a community they are not a part of. I agree that it would have been great to get a representative from Heritage of Pride, because Sara and Meghan basically saying that the real cops are people who don't want cops at pride is offensively out of touch.
  10. I haven't watched today's episode yet, but wow, some really flawed logic from Sara and Meghan on the police at Pride issue. It's a shame the View has no openly LGBTQ+ cohosts because that perspective would have been extremely useful.
  11. I mean, Sara is 43 and has said in interviews that she had 3 children so close together because she felt like she didn't have time to waste if she wanted to get pregnant, so Meghan's comment didn't seem that out of line to me. I thought Sara got her back, though, during the catcalling conversation, when Sara said that having her face covered up doesn't seem to stop the catcalls. Haha.
  12. They need to cut Meghan's mic if she's going to rudely speak over people like that.
  13. Not sure if she sought this part out, but I think she was in a movie either last year or the year before that. It was when she had white dreads instead of her usual hair color. I also saw her in an ad for migraine medication a couple of weeks ago, which surprised me.
  14. This from the woman who politicized jello shots.
  15. And why is she religiously wearing a mask if she doesn't trust what the CDC says? Meghan, just go to the nearest gas station and lick all the door handles, my god.
  16. To the surprise of no one, Meghan is back on her bullshit again this morning.
  17. Lol yeah, a martyr for not going to the casino and doing tequila shots with a drag queen. I think St. Francis of Assisi had a similar martyrdom story.
  18. She also allegedly blocked Tara Setmayer from returning to the show.
  19. I'll be honest, this is pretty much what I've worn to work from home every day since the pandemic started.
  20. I was pretty disappointed that the show's coverage of Colton coming out didn't mention that his ex from the show, Cassie, put out a restraining order against him because he stalked her after their breakup (including putting a tracking device on her car!). It's really great that Colton has reached a point where he can be honest about his sexuality, but it's irresponsible to gloss over what he did to Cassie. I worry that it will be regarded by the general public as just a mistake that stemmed from his own discomfort with himself, instead of what it really is: a crime.
  21. Statistically Sunny's son Gabriel has a much higher chance of being murdered by a police officer than he does being carjacked. I think that's another reason why The View chooses to focus its crime coverage on police brutality, rather than carjackings.
  22. But crime happens every day; should Sunny bring up each incident? Should she simply stick to crimes that happen in New York, or does it make sense to list every violent crime that happens in the US? What about the rest of the world? Where do you think the line should be drawn? Police brutality against Black men (among others) in this country has been a major news issue at least since the George Floyd protests, and a relevant news story for a lot longer. It's not at all odd to me that a show like The View is focusing on it.
  23. Well, Meghan, if you had gone to work today, you could have told them that to their faces. Maybe Monday instead?
  24. She's clearly very intelligent.
