I don't know what this means. Feminity is to be controlled? To meet some standard? That others find acceptable? Color me confused.

Different strokes, and all that ... Standard of behavior is one thing--standard of beauty is another. I would hope we've moved beyond having standards of femininity for women in 2018.

I think Kim Dickens was fine as Madison. It was refreshing to see a woman character who didn't emote in the way that society expects of her. She was stoic and closed off--nearly inscrutable. This kind of woman character has been a long time coming. I don't know if her presumed exit was due to the flack Dickens was receiving, but I found her sudden (to the viewer) change in personality disconcerting and disappointing. If she really is gone, it will seem like a defeat.

I must be in the minority, but I have grown to look forward to this show. I find the characters compelling--not admirable, but intriguing. I like the look of the show, especially the contrast with TWD.
