  1. Yaaaaay, Flip! Yay Tiana! They were the highlights of a slightly lame episode. I felt bad for Rebecca Bonilla and bummed Adam Rayl didnt finish, he's having a rough year. Other than that, I dont give a whoop about gondola's and Chad Flexington makes me cringe.
  2. Very likely the case. But as for me, I tune in mainly to follow the veterans Ive been watching for years and am invested in- they dont need additional back stories at this point. I wish the producers would account for that more because surely its not just me.
  3. Seriously. As for time-wasting runs, its these B and C list celebrities that bug me most. They get the hype and the airtime over the veterans and never get far. If you've spent your life being a race car driver or a singer from the late 90's, its unlikely you will have the training/technique to do well in this. At least the walk on's are more likely to have put in the time and dedication, and weren't chosen to run based solely on their quasi-fame. I would have been upset to see Ian Dory go down so early, but he deserved to at least be shown competing! Same for several others.
  4. I cant believe they completely excluded Ian Dory from the broadcast! He has a huge record. And no Brian Arnold at all. In fact, I havent heard the word "Wolfpack" even once this year, not even when Megan ran. I know they annoyed a lot of people but it makes me wonder if they somehow pissed NBC off... Ethan Swanson on the slingshot! Wow. Happy for Michelle, Jessie, Grant, Jerri, and Mike Bernardo, even though his sob story was a bit heavy handed. And I see that Flip's girlfriend made the top five despite falling on the spinning bridge. Hopefully she's actually a lot better than we saw and was just having an off-run.
  5. I figure the wall MUST have been slippery with the way both Najee and Joe werent even close. You know they must have been training the 18 ft. wall all year. I also hated the running over cones.
  6. Not usually, but once in awhile one will hit me.
  7. With Nick Hanson and Geoff Britten being faves, this was a bummer night. I did enjoy the brothers running in memory of their mom. The ninjas that do the balance obstacles properly make it look so easy...
  8. The Mom thing doesnt really bug me, I agree they are probably just running out of "firsts". What has been irritating me is the upswing in people doing some sort of pose/gimmick/display just before the start of their run. I dont even know why it bugs me so much, but it does.
  9. Me too, I think it makes all the difference in the vibe of the finale. It was so anti-climactic the last two years with no winner, feeling like ".....Yay?". At least with this Last-Ninja-Standing prize we still have a reason to celebrate for someone.
  10. OMG I know! I would LOVE if when someone is asked that ridiculous question, "Can you tell me why you are so emotional right now?" they answered, "TAKE A WILD GUESS, BITCH!", or something of the sort. Its what we're all thinking.
  11. That is something I admire as well, but to be honest I often wonder how real it is. They have that mantra of "We arent competing against each other, we are competing against the course." but it seems to me that simple human nature would make them a lot more sore/frustrated/unsportsmanlike than the ninjas let on. It makes me wonder if the producers have a strict On-camera-graciousness rule. Maybe I am just being cynical, but in any case I do admire the sportsmanship we see in them. Its a nice change.
  12. Yes, Isaac got the choice to go first or second. I always figured he wanted Geoff to go first so he himself would have even more rest time and Geoff would be that much more zapped before the climb. It was probably the choice that won him the competition (urg!) because I think Geoff would have beat him otherwise. Just my opinion.
  13. Why WHY do they never give Ian Dory the airtime he deserves? Good singing or not, the Joe Moravsky-in-the-shower footage is a little creepy when you realize that the camera crew was in his bathroom with him to film it. Super impressed with Danny Bergstrom, and Julius Ferguson's nerve-wracking run was awesome. Can anyone tell yet who the broken ankle Ninja from the Vegas teaser was?
  14. Yes, "The Wolfpack". For a minute I was like, how could I have never heard of this 'Dog Pound'? lol.
  15. I dont know why the Perfect Season has no weight. If two people finish in time and one has had a PERFECT SEASON shouldnt that supersede their rope times? Obviously the Ninja Warrior Champion should be the one that hit EVERY buzzer. It seems like basic common sense to me, even aside from the fact that I cannot stand Isaac.
  16. Haha! I love that idea~ Sorry not sorry Pride goeth before the fall Who is howling now? Big head, cold water Should have worn different pants And not been a dick
