I don't think Varner is genuinely sorry for doing something wrong. It was calculated, and he seemed to take great pleasure in throwing this supposed missile at Zeke. His reactions at TB were telling as to why he was crying: It was about his image and potential consequences, not guilt. His illogical explanations for his actions (both now and then) contain bold faced lies. He's trying to get out of it, not make amends or really understand his motivations. Also, I think it's gross that he retweeted messages from his fans, expressing how they still love him and feel bad for him. He should have just posted his apology, and nothing more about the incident. I was uncomfortable when Zeke forgave him on the spot, and went out of his way to make Varner feel OK... it was like watching a victim who still wants his bully to like him because he's internalized the guilt and shame.
