  1. This season really is bad, in fact I am shocked how bad it is. It’s literally fallen off a cliff. I don’t recall laughing once.
  2. Did you get the impression or feeling that Leonard and Penny are on the same page in regards to kids? Because after this one I still don't think they are. Leonard clearly wants them but is willing to at least try and give that up to keep his marriage with Penny gong, Penny doesn't want children and I think that was very much reinforced in this episode. But I thought we also got a development which I didn't like in that Penny is worried about letting her father and her husband down, Penny shouldn't feel that way nor should she feel guilty IMO. And if she does change her mind about kids then that shouldn't be a factor in her decision making, because if she does decide to have kids purely for her husband and her father then she is having children for the wrong reasons! I have a feeling this storyline might run a bit longer yet, it's not really been resolved and could easily start up again. What happens if Shamy starts thinking about kids? Won't that resurface those parental feelings or desires in Leonard again?
  3. Stuart/Denise, Stunice? I think has carried a lot of episodes this season. Not sure what that says about the state of the show...
  4. One of the most interesting and unique relationships out there on TV. It's been fun to watch that relationship develop and grow.
  5. I like a lot of your idea for her end game, I fear however she's going to change her mind on children thanks to this Zack/Marissa/Leonard story. That will become her end game.
  6. Beauty is of course in the eyes of the beholder, She's not my type, in terms of tv characters crushes there is only Dana Scully in my eyes lol.
  7. I think this is a whole setup to changing Penny's mind about kids in a really silly and stupid way. If Leonard potentially donating makes Penny change her mind about kids so they agree to try and Leonard ditches helping Zack and his wife then some part of me will always think deep down does she really wants kids or is she just doing it to save her relationship with Leonard?
  8. I think Jim made the right decision, though I don't like how it was handled if the reports are indeed true. I think this show used the last of its creative juices back in Season 10 and with the change in living arrangements, this season hs been so flat.
  9. I think the poster was talking about the plot of them being miserable and stuck in a rut over it now being 'over'. I expect they will now crack on with their work and there will be references to it during the rest of the season.
  10. Actually Sheldon not checking beforehand is actually believable considering his past errors. Though you would have thought that he would have learned by now to thoroughly check his work. What I actually find hard to believe is that Amy didn't, she has always struck me as the type to check. Overall if the Shamy project is dead and Amy didn't get back on that other project she lost earlier in the season (iirc we didn't get a crystal clear resolution on that) god she has had a bad season career wise and I feel for her.
  11. Disappointed that it looks like the Shamy project is dead especially as it played such a major role at their wedding. Not all that surprised though, their other project before this one went seemingly nowhere as well. This season really is becoming a damp squib.
  12. It might develop and grow but I don't think there is much chemistry between Raj and Anu, how I wish this started to happen last season giving a full couple of seasons for the actors chemistry to perhaps develop.
  13. See I liked the wedding but I had a personal gripe about her dress that dragged into the finale. Weird position to have, silly with hindsight perhaps but it bugged me. I would say it was a very good episode (11.24), but Veracity Elasticity 10.7 is still my favourite over the past couple of years. Every scene I thought was amazing, and the dialogue was top notch, with that Buridan's Donkey scene the icing on the cake.
  14. I thought it was ok as well nothing more. I found the Rajanu, Ranu? storyline the better of the two in this one, but I am still not sold on the Anu character and still feel a Feb wedding is way too soon for these two. I wish Raj had met her early last season and given the relationship a couple of seasons to develop as this just feels rushed. But I did like Anu more in this one. Sheldon trying to form a relationship with Amy's parents is a noble one and welcomed. But again this week you saw childish Sheldon in the dialogue but then you got that mature moment when he forgave Amy and defended her to her mother. I just think 12 seasons in I prefer this mature, more self conscious Sheldon now. Thinking back the episode I last truly loved on this show and I enjoyed it from start to finish was 10.7. I think personally since then they haven't come close to matching it. This season is ok for me, nothing more.
  15. I haven't seen Amy like that since probably Season 4 or 5 when she was trying to become more a part of the group and with the girls especially. This show does that sometimes, they flip a switch to a bygone age and the way a character acted back then if the story needed it. You also saw it earlier in the season when an angry Amy went over to 4A over Penny's decision to not want kids yet. They do that with Sheldon all the time, especially this season.
  16. The Sheldon thing, well contrast his behaviour this season compared to his behaviour for the most part since Sheldon and Amy got back together and especially during Season 10. When Sheldon and Amy moved in together I think we definitely saw a certain maturity with this character. Then of course during Season 11 a new showrunner came in and Young Sheldon became a thing. Since then I think his character still shows glimpses of a more mature, older and wiser Sheldon but also he seems to slip back into his older behaviours more easily and frequently. I've always had a love-hate relationship with his character and the Amy introduction and seeing that growth made me like his character more. I don't pine for the older days of the show and the way the characters were back then.
  17. Wasn't light hearted and fun enough for me, I find the lack of friendship between them (and its been a running theme all season long) annoying and I'm getting tired of it. It should have been a light hearted, fun episode but instead it was just more petty bs. Really disappointing.
  18. Anu is in the promo for the next episode, whether she is Raj's endgame remains to be seen (I still have some doubts). Does it feel like a bit of a cop-out that Raj might find the 'one' in this way? Does it go against his 'old school romance' beliefs? I'm still not sold on her as a character.
  19. This season so far has been a regression of the Sheldon character and all the growth in recent seasons. Are they doing this for nostalgia reasons because it's the final season? Who knows but I am not a fan of the way he is being written right now. He's in prime asshole mode right now, reminiscent of earlier seasons. I don't think he can be excused in any way, he interfered in Amy's work and career when he had no right to. Siebert was at fault as well, he made the decision ultimately, but Sheldon put that seed in his head. I found it a deeply uncomfortable episode to watch, I wanted to give Amy a hug. Further evidence they have lost it creatively and in terms of comedy and that the decision to end was the right one. For the final season of a show I truly love its been such a disappointment so far.
  20. I believe it was at PaleyFest they said they had already written the first 6? episodes. Jim and then Chuck apparently dropped their bombshells the week of the second taping. Mayim wrote an article on her Groknation site confirming that the cast were happy to be back at work after the first taping (you saw pics on social media) but they found out filming the second episode, during the table read and the pretaping part of filming. Mayim sounded clear that the cast didn't know it was coming, Jim of course did if reports and the timeline are accurate. So they already wrote the start to this season and it was planned, it will be interesting to see if episode 7 onwards reflect the fact this is the final season or they continue to plod along. It's been a rather lacklustre start so far IMO.
  21. I would agree. The way Sheldon has changed over the years is a very touchy subject, it has its fans and its detractors. Me personally? I'm a fan of how he has changed over the years, Amy literally saved his character for me, had he stayed the same over the years I probably would have given up watching years ago. But they just have to remind you every so often of what he was like for comedy purposes, but honestly the way he was behaving last night with Tam, Leonard and even Amy at times I didn't laugh one bit. I've moved on from that Sheldon long ago. I think also with the other show there is a danger you are going to see further moments like this if they are to try and inject characters from that show into this one. And by the sounds of it in the media it is very likely we will see more YS/TBBT crossovers during the final season.
  22. Not a fan of this one, granted I don't watch YS, so the interest in seeing 'Tam' was always going to be pretty low for me. Seems to me this show has these characters grow and evolve, learn from experience and change their behaviour at times as they develop more wisdom from particular situations they encounter. They all have changed and grown (well maybe not Raj apart from being able to speak to the opposite sex) but the show DOES have these characters revert back to their early iteration when the story 'requires it'. This happens with Sheldon more than any other character, this was a real old school, Seasons 1-3 Sheldon kind of episode here. I found Sheldon to be an arse pretty much through most of this episode and the Tam storyline itself was boring. Not a fan. In terms of comedy, I thought Penny and Bernie had the best lines, but I still don't quite know what to make of Anu. My gut feeling is still they won't get married, either she breaks it off with him as she learns more about him (she learnt some things in this one that could be off-putting) or he breaks up with her because his old romantic side kicks in and he feels an arranged marriage is wrong or they are not ready. I've watched all the episodes so far this season and only one for me (12.2) has actually made me laugh a lot. A worrying sign, it feels to me like they are plodding along to its end, still there is a lot of season left. Though judging from that promo for next week's episode, well that's going to make me rage hard as a die-hard Amy fan.
  23. A much better episode than the season opener I thought, that one felt so flat but this one in terms of comedy felt it had more life to it. Not sure what's going to happen with Raj, wondering if we might see some twist with his plans for an arranged marriage. He's always been looking for the old romantic way of finding someone and settling down (Raj is an old romantic at heart), but that hasn't exactly brought a lot of success so maybe it's time he really tried something different. But then is that really going against the type of character he is? We shall see. Great to see Stuart happy, haven't seen that for a long time. People forget early season Stuart was a much more confident guy and actually more successful with the opposite sex, he went out on dates with Penny for example. I do like Denise so I hope we see more of her this season.
  24. Not a fan, Sheldon actually annoyed me in this episode a lot. I actually think Amy was annoyed not only at the scheduling, she wanted romantic spontaneity clearly but also the fact Sheldon publically once again talked about their sex life in public. In the episode 10.16 Sheldon did that and Amy got understandably upset with him, Sheldon then came up with a board about things he can say to strangers and in front of others and their sex life was one of them. Skip forward to the Season 12 opener and Sheldon is talking about their sex life in front of a bellhop, then later in the episode, the crowd at the Tesla Tour heard them talking/arguing about things related to that subject. Amy clearly not happy at that. I just think Sheldon SHOULD know better by now and learnt something from past experiences. I think the overall episode was OK at best, very flat.
  25. Not going to lie if the Deadline article is correct (it has a detailed timeline, one I can imagine must have come from a source in that studio) then I am pretty disappointed in Jim. I think the shock nature of revealing as described in the article was pretty unfair to them, they have been on this journey as well with the show and they deserved better. He IMO should have handled it better if the article is correct and I believe it likely is.
