You know, after hearing they were going to start pulling this from syndication too, I was REALLY happy that I jumped into this century and got a DVR, so I could record them all off of LAFF to watch whenever I want. I did just that last night. Started watching over from OG Season 1 and it just didn't feel the same watching it anymore. That makes me incredibly sad because I NEVER thought I would say that. Loud mouthed bitch just couldn't keep her "Ambien" fueled fingers from her phone could she?

Just as being a bigot will get your show C for Cancelled

I just re-watched last night, and did not catch him saying loan.

I loved this episode. It was the perfect ending. Something positive finally comes the Conner’s way. Having been thru a major flood, their reaction is spot on. It’s a relief that 10’s of thousands of dollars aren’t coming straight out of your pocket. Continue to love Becky and Darlene’s relationship. I hope to see more of this next season. Still don’t care about Harris. Loved the throw back to Halloween episodes. Speaking of throw backs, it really caught me how similar Darlene and Roseanne really are. Roseanne struggled with writing again in seasons of old too. I really would love for them to flesh that out more for Darlene next year. So, Mark’s playing soccer? Hope he doesn’t become sterile! I’ve loved this show for as long as I can remember. I’m just a little too young to have enjoyed it in its hay day, but I watch reruns so often I can name episodes and quote along with them. That being said, I’m overall happy, borderline impressed, with how this reboot went. There were some clunky moments, some very special episode feeling times and some horrible continuity, but I hope the kinks work out for a great next season.

Windsurfing and satisfying her man Same episode: Roseanne was relating an embarrassing experience to Becky to help her thru her ordeal, one that Becky had heard plenty of times, someone stole Roseanne's diary and read it out loud. Who was it?

LOL!

It makes me long for the Lobo and the bowling alley. Some of their best episodes were at the Lobo, the Lodge, or the bowling alley.

While I would have preferred to avoid the addiction storyline in general, the most logical choice was Roseanne being the addict. She has an incredibly addictive personality. Food, alcohol, Bingo, smoking. Adding drugs isn’t a stretch, just one I prefer they didn’t make. I appreciate the realness of it. I appreciate that it comes while we’re in a huge opioid crisis. I just want Roseanne to stick to the funnier stuff. Addiction can be a slippery slope to go down in sitcom-land. That said, I enjoyed the episode. I love Darlene and Becky’s bantering. Hearing them argue about adult things is much more interesting than when they were kids. They used to drive me batshit crazy. Crystal....looks.... awful. I’m going with either Ed being dead (not a stretch) or her divorcing him after being fed up with his being gone all the time. Either way, it was time to hang up the flapper costume. Jackie being a baby bird had me rolling! I’m with chocolatine, I wanted to see them live it up in the hotel room. Finally, something positive for them, only to be ripped away. I get why hotels do it, but that rule pisses me off too. Im sad that we’re nearing the end, but they’ve set up some decent storylines, and hopefully with more episodes to cover more storyline things keep up the trend they’re on. Random: going from watching the new episode to Laff to watch reruns is so freaking weird.

Her book bag, because it broke. When Darlene, David, Becky and Mark are playing Scrabble, what word did they convince Mark was an abbreviation, making it not a word.

Put a book in front of it. In the episode “Saturday” what was Dan’s punishment (Roseanne’s reward) if he didn’t have the truck running by 5?

Took 3 guys to shove the asshole out the door. We all tried to apologize for his behavior. It was a horrible situation. I’d never been so embarrassed to live in this town.

Ranks up there with my favorite of the season. This felt like a “real” Roseanne episode. I thought Michael Fishman did a fine job in this episode. I hope they give him more of a role like this next season. I think he had the perfect amount of screen time. Even in Roseanne of old he wasn’t a prominent character as he got older. As depressing as the subject matter was, I still found myself laughing out loud quite a few times. Darlene was back to her amazingly sarcastic self. Roseanne and Jackie’s sisterly banter. Jackie being way less wacky. I even enjoyed the kids, minus Harris. She’s trying too hard to be Darlene and failing horribly. I still find 0 redeeming qualities in her. Jackie’s “I have a mustache. I look like mom” killed me. I can appreciate why some of the subject matter and jokes associated would upset someone, but they didn’t me personally. I guess this is what I expect of Roseanne. They’ve always joked about touchy subject matter, and I didn’t expect the revival to be any different. Living in a small town like Lanford what that cashier said isn’t off base. Small towns have 0 tolerance and understanding of something different to them. For example: we have a gas station that is owned and operated by Muslims. The day it hit papers that we killed Osama Bin Laden someone came in that gas station, picked up the paper and started yelling “they got your boy! They got your boy!” The owner was absolutely mortified trying to explain how they were not associated with ISIS or Bin Laden. It was atrocious. So far it sounds like my UO is I really liked this episode.

This. And this. I think they shot themselves in the foot by burning a week to show re-runs. I don't believe this is in a free fall yet, though. It was pitted against a NCIS episode that starts a story line of a main character leaving. That was obviously going to draw the larger crowd.
