Shannon’s wedding was bizarre. From her lonely walk down the aisle without her bouquet to the groom getting dressed in a men’s room to the bright flowers that clashed with the tacky bridesmaids’ dresses. It was funny that she spent the entire food and drink budget on her dress and then was surprised to find there was no food or liquor and the wedding. Patrick didn’t forget. He’s vengeful.
As for Clara, her mom seems awful. Probably an unpopular opinion because it’s easier to just write Clara off as a typical bridezilla. But what kind of mother calls her own daughter a bitch and a witch to her face? That was really horrible to see. And what kind of woman invites someone to her daughter’s wedding when she knows she doesn’t want them there and makes her include her sister as a bridesmaid when neither daughter wants it? It’s controlling and nasty. Not surprising her daughter has emotional issues with mother like that. It’s her wedding week. It’s not being a bridezilla to want the focus to be on her and not have cheesy wrinkled paper table signs when she expected something more. It’s bad enough her cousin purposefully scheduled her wedding for a few weeks beforehand. To have her own mother be so petty and cruel would drive any woman nuts.

Awwww, I am so disappointed that Jen won't be in the finals. I have really enjoyed seeing what she made throughout the season.
I am as well. She was my pick for winner. I’m very surprised Leah outlasted her.
The origami tops reminded me of when the Pattern Magic series was popular in sewing circles years back.
It’s a shame the show only has one episode to go.

As for circus girl's revelation that SHE has body modifications, i.e. piercings and a tattoo, um, sweetie, that's not what body modifications are. Show us your split tongue or transdermal implants and then we can talk.
Not to be that guy, but the literal definition of body modification is “any method of permanently adorning the body, including tattooing and piercing”.

Seems if money becomes a concern and both of them start worrying or maybe arguing about it, seems like kind of out of left field.
Money is a source of conflict in a lot of relationships but they've never shown it being a thing between these two.
It was an issue for Jimmy in the episode where Gretchen confessed her credit card debt and how she doesn’t think it’s “real money”, but like most problems Jimmy has with Gretchen, he didn’t confront it.

Yay Ricardo! His coat was stunning.
I’ll miss Janet and all her fun comments. I look forward to seeing how the other sewers do without her explaining how the patterns work.

I was worried this series couldn’t live up to the first. But PWB is killing it. The writing, the timing, spectacular.
Is that a fox?

Clinton Kelly was awful. I hate hosts who do the fake out before saying go. It’s just mean spirited and not funny. Also he came off as phony when talking to the contestants. I like when they develop a rapport, like Jesse and Bobby did.
I’m glad the fennel cake made it because fennel is far more difficult flavor to get successfully in a cake than cherry.

Oh bridezillas. How I’ve missed your insanity. And your snarky narrator.
Jaslyn’s wedding looked quite beautiful. The “photo booth” thingie nonwithstanding. Also she and Jermain seemed like a good couple, which is rare on this show. I’d die of embarrassment hearing that poem in front of all of my friends and family though.
Shannon, on the other hand, is a train wreck. I feel terrible for her kids having a mom who smokes in the house and drinks til she literally falls down and insists on spending thousands on multiple helicopters.

James Acaster had me in stitches. Loved that his showstopper tasted the best. Russell Tovey is fit! When did that happen?

Not feeling the new showrunner this season. The entire vibe is wrong. Also disappointing that Kristin Chenoweth and Gillian Anderson left. Maybe it’ll improve in the coming episodes.

I never thought I’d see the day when a cookie vulva wins bake off.

I think Juliet deserved garment of the day over Jen. Hers was far more complicated to construct and was more flattering on the model. The front of Jen’s jacket rode up and was so bulky it made her model look like he had a beer belly.

What a brilliant first episode. And yes the priest is hot. He was also hot as Moriarty.

I liked Asia Kate Dillon as a judge because she was so practical. When she said the strap under the arm of Sean's design looked like it would chafe, I had to agree. But I loved it even more when she said that with an outfit that has one bare arm and one long sleeve, what season is it?
Just fyi, Asia uses the pronoun “they”, not “she”. They are non-binary.

Biddell's winning look was soooo 2017- remember when Justin Bieber was always being photographed in drop crotch/loaded diaper pants?
This season was filmed in 2017.

What is with everyone pickling everything? Not a fan of pickled food.
It’s an easy way to get acid into a dish. But I agree, not a fan.

Yeah, I agree. This and then Deadly Class afterwards, I wanted my two hours back. It was kind of a dud night.
Agreed. Glad to know I’m not the only one who felt this.

The song choices this week did nothing to show off how good these singers are except for Lion, which seems like producer manipulation since she’s obviously the only non-professional singer. She has no stage presence and seems to slide by because of the appealing huskiness of her voice.
JB Smoove jumping up every time he wanted to stay something makes me wonder what is in those drinks. It ain’t water!

I don’t understand the judging on these shows. It’s like GBBO where the middle challenge doesn’t even matter in the outcome. But I think the woman with bad technical skills should have been eliminated over the man who screwed up in lining up his patterns, because in clothes, ill-fitting is worse than a pattern which doesn’t match up perfectly.

This was the first episode that anything really interesting happened this season. Two fights: one instigated by a participant (don’t pretend you didnt push Amber, Vivian) and one actually involving a participant.
On other forums people keep feeling sorry for the “kid” AB hits, but it looks like he has multiple arrests for beating up and even strangling (!) his girlfriend, yet no prison time which is unfortunately common for domestic abusers.

I find it interesting that Chidi went to the bad place because he could never make a decision. However, his indecisiveness was a result of considering all the repercussions of his choices, like the blueberry muffin. Yet not considering repercussions of your choices is what is sending everyone to the bad place? Ahhhhh!!!!!

Glad the show is back. I enjoyed this episode for the most part but felt like it was lacking something.

That episode would have been more fun if not for the description being a huge spoiler. Glad it’s back.

1 hour ago, MoreCoffeePlease said:Totally fair question. Marie should have asked about her daily and weekly routines. I think parents and kids both benefit from structure and routine. Pre-school, going to the park, playtime, lunch, naptime/quiet time, etc. And for mom, putting a load of laundry in, at least once a day!
As for dad, even if he is working 50 - 60 hours a week, I would hope that he spends at least one hour a day with the kids, perhaps at bathtime and/or bedtime. That would give mom a chance to do the dishes.
Bottom line for me though, is that if you absolutely hate doing something, AND you have enough money to pay someone to do it, go ahead and pay someone. Isn't that cheaper than going to counseling or to a divorce attorney?
The problem is the husband almost never sees his kids because of his long working hours, which he has to work so they can afford the wife being essentially a SAHM who outsources the housework (or just doesn’t do it at all). And it’s blatantly obvious he resents that. Plus, can you imagine working those hours and your wife won’t even let you use any of the closet or drawers IN YOUR OWN ROOM??
I laughed when wife said she teaches “intercultural communication” because the first thing she did upon seeing a Japanese woman she’d never met before was insist on hugging her. Maybe learn about other cultures, hon.
Also, the way she kept shutting down her husband with “babe” gave me cringy flashbacks to The Office “Dinner Party”.

S17.E03: All the Rage
in Project Runway
Ok so Nadine’s model Kate was Frankie’s model the first episode when she was almost eliminated (and when Frankie completely blamed the her measurements as the reason she had to rework the outfit in the last two hours) and Rakan’s model for his hospital gown monstrosity in episode 2 (which likely would have put him in the bottom if there hadn’t been a worse team). Cant wait to see what they put her in next week! Poor Kate. She really can’t walk, she can’t pose at the end of the runway without doing something strange with her hands, and she can’t stop making duck face.
